That's Leona for you, for sure. I remember her winning Britain's Got Talent long time ago. One of the most humble person you could ever meet and she hasn't changed ... at all. If you have ear/headphones, put them on and listen to this performance. It's what you call "perfect pitch" from Kodi. This year, if ANYONE deserved to win, it was this guy. He was number one to a lot of people from the beginning. And he is definitely a hoot, isn't he? Love his personality AND his mother.

@@FortexVize lol, you don't truly know these type of duets until you realize that the featured person is made sure that s/he is never outperformed by the other singer. Leona just decided not to sing at her full potential but complemented his singing. In fact I'd have to guess she was very careful about that because women vocalists naturally sing at higher tones and usually overshadow the male singers. To add to that, she definitely can't singer over him because the judges are listening to Kodi, not Leona and she would have to keep it low so that the judges can hear him well.

When I was in middle school in California, there was this incredible young man in my choir class. He was blind, and he had the most amazing voice, personality, and could play the piano amazingly well to boot. He had perfect pitch. I remember the choir teacher would ask him for a note, and he would give it. Perfect every single time. Kodi, I am so so so proud of you. Your talent amazed me then. Finding out what you have accomplished, that you are still being so authentically you, and that you are sharing your incredible talent with the world, it makes my heart absolutely sing. I am so proud of you, Kodi. You are touching the stars dude! You are incredible, and you've made it. I am so honored to have crossed paths with you.

For those who don't know, Kodi performed "You Are the Reason" on semifinals AND finals. That song is written and sung by Calum Scott - a competitor on BGT that Simon used his Gold Buzzer on. Simon's impeccable ability to spot future stars and elevate them is what made this song possible for Kodi to choose and dazzle everyone. Talk about good begets good.

One of the greatest performances on AGT. I cried the first time I watched this. It's one of my favourite songs and Kodi's performance was spot on!

Jesus, the son of God, showed us how to do it. God is so good, He invests so much for people, best example is sacrifice of Jesus for our bad deeds (and I expierienced His ressurection with my own life btw). Speeking for myself, I am so happy for seeing inclusion at its finest in this video👍

Singing comes from a different part of the brain than speech. Learnt that from a speech and language therapist when I worked in a stroke ward. Hes absolutely fantastic!

I’m so impressed with his ability to learn a new song and arrangement and in a duet… autistic doesn’t mean dumb. I’m just floored cause I imagine it’s not easy to direct someone like him. Seriously I don’t mean it as an insult. I’m just curious as to the process. I find it fascinating how he can be so present when it comes to music. He’s got an amazing family that’s for sure.
i think the way that he finds the right keys for every song is not from his eyes but from is heart!
He is 1 of 25 music savants in the world he has perfect pitch and can replay any song after hearing it, most people with autism wouldn’t have anywhere near his ability it’s around 1 in a million
@daaa bears As you or me are not anywhere near John Lennon or Whitney or else. Not every autistic has to be as good as him in singing but they excel in different fields. His point that i share is how they communicate with other musicians, like in this case to form a perfect duel!
Ok hear me out. I have an autistic brother, and it is said (in my aboriginal canadian culture) that special needs people have a talent and are highly respected because they have gifts. My brother is a tremendous carpenter and extremely creative. People are shocked how talented he is. Kodi has that talent. I know this may sound like a stretch and kind of crazy to grasp especially as an outsider, but until you’ve been around these special people you would know. Have a good day people!

LOL! What a justification. Dude her voice was shaky, her vocal control was practically non-existent, she was off pitch at times and her harmonization wasn't on point. This had nothing to do with letting him shine...she wasn't very good on this night. Sorry...

I wasn't logged in to the You Tube , so I literally fetched my Own phone so I could come back and comment for this video. Kodi Lee, made me search for more of Leona Lewis and I realized she is far too good a singer for the present times. Some of her solo live and other performances are simply mesmerizing. BUT.... The way she kept a low profile during this duet with Kodi, speaks a ton about her real character. Hats off to the lady.... Totally Divine Humbleness Personified. Leona Lewis......
Although Kodi story is sad and some may say tragic, it's also his ability to overcome that disability that we all take for granted. The ability to see the world has lead us to see all that is evil and corrupt, hence maybe that's why we are so judgemental to others and ourselves. Our imagination and creativity becomes tainted and limited by what we have seen. We become harder and colder. In kodi's situation, he does not know or comprehend what evil is thus has not been tainted. His perception of the world is different from ours. His mind will forever be that of a child. He is talented in the aspect that when he sings to you, it's from a place of pureness, untouched and untainted by evil. Maybe that is why we cry hearing him because he reminds us of the goodness in this world and in ourselves that we set aside. Now anyone can say a word or complete sentences or sing but can they sing into the existence of a word? Can you feel each word that he sings? Remember that as the world gets colder and harsher, and we dont recognize ourselves anymore, we will yearn for this. Let's be more compassionate towards eachother and treat eachother how we want to be treated. I did not vote base on views, likes, tweets or trending. I voted for someone who will change the world and I believed kodi is that person.
