People don't talk about it but Leon doesn't really lose. No amateur loss and pro losses are a questionable DQ, an unfair split decision and a loss to a future champion and p4p #1 which he has now avenged.
Not the worst controversy but about his split decision loss to Claudio Silva, according to MMA decisions. 65% of fans and 9/12 of media gave it to Edwards.

One of the best fights I've ever seen. I thought it was kind of going downhill for Leon then all of sudden "BANG! HEADSHOT! DONE!"
UFC is full of surprises and upsets. Anything can happen. I had lost hope during the fight but all of a sudden, he put kamaru's 'lights' out, in devastating fashion.
Good to see Leon getting the recognition he deserves. I said for the last 2 years he would be usmans biggest test. First fight was decent but Leon is so well rounded. Defiantly the most well rounded fighter at 170.
The only thing that has held leon back is his self confidence which is from growing up in humble circumstances and being told you'll never make it. Look out world leon is complete 🤙

Yes Leon took him down in the first and held him down, yes he knocked him out toes curled , but Leon was so out of his game going into round 5 he couldn’t even make eye contact w his coaches. He was defeated mentally so this all makes for a great fight.

@@walkingolga6235 I know what happened but it’s a lucky kick and combo. 99% of everything MMA fighters throw is “deliberate”, seriously. Some things land, others don’t. But everything they do was practiced. Leon failed to execute that kick for 24 minutes, didn’t land until the last minute. That was a kick that, by sheer happy accident and desperation from Leon, landed. Dude had nothing left, kept on trying the same things until the accident.

Arriving 10 days early isn’t enough to acclimatize to serious elevation. You need to arrive 30 days in advance! So many fighters make this mistake.

If I were a fighter if it was possible if they say 30 I'd try to do 60 just to be sure especially for a fight like this
It's not gonna ever be level, because Usman trains in Denver. He is acclimated to the mile high. Leon would have to move and train somewhere at above sea level for at least 6 months, and it would be 2 years before his body adapted 100% and held the same advantages as Usman
