  • You are one of my favorite YT content creators. Your explanation of practice, strategy and technique, as well as just the simple narrative, of your work have proven highly valuable and edifying to this sedentary, desk-bound professional. ALSO...I have fallen asleep on the couch - numerous times - listening to your wonderful chainsaw buzzing away from one video to the next. Please don't silence it.

    • Because he switched off the microphone, there was no audio, not even the saw. That's why I added the music and nature sounds, so you still have the experience that the audio is there. I've already learned that all of you prefer the saw, so I don't add music anymore, only if there's no audio at all, like in this case.😉

  • The saw definitely sounds better than the music. Also looks like they had to bring you in to do the stuff the other guys couldn’t handle well done 👍.

  • The one that made me the maddest was cutting a road right of way with a barb wire fence right down the middle of it, all 5’ stumps and I will be dammed if I didn’t break the biggest tree over top of one of those stumps. Still bothers me 20 years later.

    • It’s only a couple hours hike to the nearest logging road. Unless you’re staying on a remote float camp. Then you’d have to hike all the way down to the ocean then get picked up by boat or hike the coast to the camp

  • 206's hurt my back after a couple hours in them. The 500 is a lot better. Odd number of rotor wings makes a big difference at the end of a long day.I lost one that was going this route and just as it was heading it off the stump the wind popped up and cedar toothpicks were/was the result.

    • I think high grade cedar is about $400m/2. Cedar is about 1650lb? per m/2. A max weigh is 8-10k/lb depending on the chopper used. So one max weight could be about $16,500. So if you could get 4 max logs off one large tree that’s $66,000 for one tree. Of course that’s ,top of my head math, of info that may be incorrect

    @rickylangston7342@rickylangston7342Ай бұрын
    • Depends on what I’m cutting. Right now I’m currently cutting small high elevation old growth cedar/hemlock/balsam so there not a lot of interesting things to film. I try to include other stuff besides just falling. Like wildlife, waterfalls, falling strategies in relation to the block, camp stuff. Even weather day activities like gold panning adventures.
