Why did ge draw those lines
As always, an excellent job, zero plastic filler, this is an old school repair with a modern twist. That hatch is as good as an original one, an excellent repair. This for sure is a labor intensive job, i do not know how much it would have been to replace that hatch with a new one, but for me it is a treat to see someone using spot welds to repair a dent and use soldering as filler, then sand it and make it perfect again. Just awesome.
Why did he draw those lines?
Just because it looks like original doesn’t mean it is “as good as the original”. The steel in this panel is now weakened because it has been bent and then straightened. Modern day steel is not meant to be repaired on such a huge scale. That panel should have been replaced.
@@HackMasterBlaster Dude, are you serious? Yes, the car is repaired and there are new parts, it was bent then straightened. Is it going to be 100% identical, no but that is as good as it gets. This is a OEM repair with matching paint. It is like your skin when you cut it, a doctor will put suture on it and the body heals itself. Are you 100% no but you get to go on with your life.

Yea I would never have thought about it. Now a days, it’s all about all data and correct procedures and what not. Collision tech for 17 years and counting here.

Love the channel learning things from it. However most times you guys are not using safety items to protect yourself including wearing a mask when you’re grinding Eye protection at all times. I work in a trade I’m in my 60s now. I wish I followed the proper protocols and protecting myself over the years I cannot tell you how many times things got into my eyes thank God I can still see but the injuries that I suffered with my hands most of them could’ve been prevented by just using basic safety. You guys are young and strong but when you get older a lot of those sins of not wearing protection will come back to haunt you. So take care of yourselves and continue to do the excellent job that you’re doing showing us how you do your trade
