    • That’s the truth! It was way worse than I expected! I won’t do that trip again. If anything I’d use a guide or do an easier hunt

  • I'll be up there for work this year, may be looking to do the same thing. Did you all hike out past the archery corridor or are you in a different area altogether? Great vieo!

    • Yea we spiked out a couple trips in the rifle area. Bow hunting was extremely difficult. I would take your time before you start hiking. Maybe spend a day spotting from the road to locate the most. Best of luck if you give it a shot! Thank you!

    • Wisconsin resident. Alaska construction worker. I did this last year. Will repeat. Hike in. Early season better than later.Avoid the yellow grass that these guys can't avoid. We spiked for 12 days . Grams count.Dry food rules.I drank untreated water the whole time.Bring a pole for grayling. I'm 56 and had no problem in and out several times....avoid the yellow grass. Hip boots rule. Survival 22 will put Ptarmigan on the menu, taste like diver duck.good luck

    • @@davidkresl2195 right on. I was thinking earlier would be the time to try next time. Did you get into any nice bulls? Stay away from the yellow grass, huh? Interesting. Thanks for the info!

    • Indeed! 🦙 😂 These Alpacka rafts came in clutch! They allowed us to access a lot more country.

    • Right on! We were there the first part of September. We really didn’t see a lot of Caribou. Did you have any luck?
