  • Found this video in my favorites from 4 years ago. Still one of my favorite hunting vids on youtube

  • we're currently full up with our staffers right now, but most of the field-staffers work on promoting the company and then the pro-staffers are in charge of producing the shows, dvd's, and everything else.

  • that's a good question. the first two videos were filmed without guides, but now we're starting to get calls from outfitting businesses to help promote their companies as well.

  • thanks man! considering that they don't band any birds in our area, we actually do ok on the band recoveries each year. you can check out most of our bands on our website.

  • @teamflyers07 The band/tag is also used to tell the hunter the DOB for the bird,where it came from and a few other interesting facts.

  • that's a great question. it's actually been a while since i've looked at shell decoys, but i know that dakota decoy is gonna be producing a shell decoy here in the near future and bill is always producing top notch stuff.

  • Thanks man! Being full time college students for our first two videos, we were only able to make it out on the weekends and for 3 weeks during our Christmas Break. Even with that being said, we were still able to capture some pretty good footage. After this year though, it'll be full time.

  • @standaman1983 with that extension on i can hold 12 shells. it is actually a special conservation season that there is no limit on how many you can kill and they allow you to put extensions on as well.

  • we've used them all. they all blow/sound the same if you know how to tune them yourself. i would recommend buying the one you like the looks of and then just mess around with the reed until you figure out how to change the tones of it to fit your specs.

  • we didn't do so well, but we were new to the area and only spent a day there. it definitely looks like it could be good though. we should be gettin a good push of birds here this week. i would think saturday would be good. just depends on where you're at and what the weather's doing.

    @BackcountryBowhunter@BackcountryBowhunter14 жыл бұрын
  • because they are over populated, we are allowed to put extensions on our shotguns when the conservation order starts on the spring snow geese. otherwise we're only allowed to hold 3 shells as well.

  • @snowmofrk13 the remington 870 express is a great gun for waterfowl. that was actually my first waterfowl gun back in the day. nothing wrong with it at all.

  • good to see some more young people hunting! in my area I'm the only one witch is pretty sad but i got an awesome crew to hunt with even if they are older, I'm 14 and just went on my first goose hunt and we ended up getting 31 geese in 2 hours. I'm shooting with a mossberg super bantam pro 20 gauge and its a great gun for ducks but i just can't reach out and touch um like my friends with the 12 gauges, was wondering what a good 12 gauge goose gun would be thats also easy on the pocket

  • oh yeah. honestly you can hand tune any call to your specs, but you've just got to be willing to spend the time to first learn how to do it to get the sound you want. some people like them to require more and less air. i would probably recommend the canada hammer by buck gardner. that's the first one i started with back in the day and i really liked it.

  • @ProvenGunner it just depends on how much "fire" your dog has. if it's a very timid dog and it happens when he's real young, he may never want to fetch one up again. but if he's go a lot of fire, sometimes it doesn't matter how young he is or how bad it hurts him, he's gonna continue to do it, probably even more so.
