Medieval Dynasty Review 2024 - Should You Play Medieval Dynasty in 2024
Medieval Dynasty Review In 2024:
Medieval Dynasty is an immersive medieval simulation game with crating, building and town management, developed by Render Cube. Medieval Dynasty recently released a new map the Oxbox, which lets you play Co-Op with up to 4 people. So lets go over if this game is worth playing in 2024.
Since its initial release, Medieval Dynasty has added lots of new features, including additional buildings, things to craft, bandits and horses. Being able to do all of this in co-op with friends is an incredible experience that and an improvement on the base game.
However this is a niche game that some people may find too slow, and others may find the perfect grind. So I'd love to hear what you think of Medieval Dynasty and if you'll be giving it a try in 2024.

Medieval Dynasty is a really unique game, would love to hear what you think!
At first look it seems like Banished but with a playable character. I'm intrigued!
Nice to see another Banished player.
my thoughts exactly xD
My review would have to be good across the board. MD is not a game where combat is any kind of focus - thankfully; as there are far too many combat focused games and not enough that allow you to create, build, and explore without having to be equiped like Conan the Barbarian - I have just hit 100hrs in the game and I have never been in combat and I'm quite happy to keep it that way. Wondeful game, kudos to the developers for showing the big guys what a good game looks like.
They STILL should add a sort of "tower defense" where you help defend your town from invasions of bandits and the like. It would add another layer of gameplay that adds to the value of the overall game. Like, you would need to upgrade and arm your citizens so they can help fend off invasions like in 7 days to die. I also wouldn't be against being able to recruit combat units from your town to roam with you to attack and destroy/loot bandit camps that would inturn reduce the amount of invaders when they attack YOUR town. Hopefully the armor/shields update adds some incredibly needed tier system for weapons and armor that would eventually ALSO add in more combat to the game. I'm willing to bet that's what they're going for.
Thorough and with no random talk. It's the best review I found about the game and helped me decide about getting it or not! Keep up the good work!
Did you get the game though? 👀
Right^^^ did you buy it??
I actually did, but didn't get too excited about it. After buying it and playing for a while, I went and made another research about the game and it sadly didn't meet my expectations. It seems lacking in what could be achieved throughout the game. I thought that, maybe, a dynasty should have more than just a village with a palisade around it. Bandits are scarce, combat is wacky and dialogue is really crude. Building and surviving is very good and polished, but if there's no objective to it, I felt like this game is not for me. But for whoever likes surviving and building, it is a good and fun game.
It’s refreshing and rare that a video instantly gets straight to the point. Easiest sub of my life. Thank you sir 🫡 keep up the good work!
Was looking for new games , thanks for the review !
I love the game but I do agree with you that armor and combat needs improvements , BUT I also wants dogs! A companion for hunting, working and guarding both stock and villagers, I just miss that animal in there 😢
You sold me, thanks for the review!
I came to see what the original game is all about after seeing there is a vr version of this game releasing soon on the Meta Quest store. I am intrigued to play this original version now, thanks for the overview.
DUDE HOW HAVE I NEVER HEARD OF THIS GAME, i used to play stronghold as a kid and i loved the peaceful mode and watching my villagers do stuff lol
YES.
Ahhh yes, Stronghold, love that game! I revolutionized Castle builds playing other players online. I used to see people copying my defensive style. I loved that game so much. Everyone was so concerned about making these expensive castles that covered large areas of land. Where I made compact and heavily defended and self-sufficient castles. I would also make "weak" points in my castle to intrigue players to attack those spots first, only to be caught in one of my many traps. So many years of fun in that game. I still play once in a great while. Nice to meet fellow gamers who appreciate the Stronghold series.
@@ALifeUnanalyzedIsALifeUnlivedomg Stronghold was sooo good back in the day. Haven’t played in probably over a decade. What was the last Stronghold game to come out?
@@nallanw4329Stronghold Crusader Definitive was the last release. Pretty much the same as the original but looks a lot better.
@@capt.gavin_3607 ah thanks 🙏
I’ve put in 100 hours since the MP came out and I love it. I’ve always wanted to roleplay as a simple peasant. Such a relaxing experience.
can't tell if you're joking or not, but thanks for making me laugh 🤣
I have 100 hours but with offline like in few years span, but i'm finding myself playing game again it's really refreshing and relaxing , really worth it :)
are there any plans to update the combat in the future?
I really enjoy playing the game but cannot play new map yet as it is not on console but will be playing it when it arrives
Is this on a PC or Ps? I have it on PS5 but it ia not working accurately. I can't view the map, cant eat or change tools
Played the game back in 2021 when it first came out. Liked it a lot but stopped since the Roadmap showed so many new things coming in the following years. Picked it up again last month (when Starfield totally let me down) to see how it changed and I'm loving it. Not touched the MP map and not sure I will since I have no one to play with anyway, but really like all the changes and updates to the overall game. Keep thinking about it while I'm at work, which tells me when a game has really got me hooked. Looking forward to expanding my village even more.
Do you play on pc or console?
Stop bashing Starfield okay, you weren't their target audience it's as simple as that but it doesn't mean that the game let you down it just wasn't made for people like you! For instance I like odd numbers, not everyone does but that doesn't mean that odd numbers let people down it's just not their thing!! So how about broaden your perspective before putting something down ty!!!!
@@AlwaysGrateful369It’s definitely not as bad as everyone is saying. I still prefer fallout but I put 100 hrs in star field and enjoyed it.
You can play the multiplayer map solo and multiplayer. Should give it a go. It a really fun map.
@@AlwaysGrateful369Stanfield is objectively bad
Czy w grze da sie posiadac psa? Czy można oswoic wilka? Ps. Czy jest może jakas aktualizacja odnosnie tego?
Very great game I have been playing for about 2 to 3 weeks I over love the game play
I maxed out months ago, might have to re-visit it.
Yeah about the bandits idk now I was gone try it out but idk Bec it would be 100 times better if it had actual combat
How is the performance on PS5?
It's a great game! Been playing for about 2 weeks and I love it. Highly recommended!
It's as much fun as watching paint dry
Haha you must have figured out how shallow this game is by now
@@mechwarrior13 It was good for a few weeks!! Kicked back playing.... Now mastered!! ;-] It's good for kicking back!! Excitement, well, not so much... Until you find bandits....
Wish i had more time to play
I'm definitely getting this, I love these types of games and this is for me.
You'll regret it
@@AlwaysGrateful369 the games great
For me the only gripe I have with bandits [so far] is they have crap loot and not worth the few hits you take for an apple and a loaf of bread .Im in my first year so hoping it will improve .
The next update is all about armour and combat. Once that comes out the game will change and can progress
Is the update out?
Play this game. It's takes a bit to get all the mechanics but once you do it's totally worth it. My advice is start a game, play for a bit. Then start over and mess with the settings to your liking. Then start again.
Love this style of game but with bad combat I have to avoid it sadly😢 if they ramp up the combat I’ll 100% get into it
It's a good game....still waiting for the psvr2 version tho
I just can't get over the fact they tried to animate stripping bark of trees and then using the wrong f-ing tool for it XD.
Are there going to be future updates for this game?
Yes
Hello, Mate I Am Looking for a similar game to bannerlord II (single player)
Kingdom Come Deliverance is the first game that comes to mind. Directional blocking, growing from a nobody to a hero. But if you're looking for managing an group of people and going around the map, probably mount and blade warband or one of the total war games might be worth trying
@@MedievalMarty Appreciated ❤️ You Earned Yourself A Like
keep an eye on mannor lords coming this April, has the mix of a city builder and army simulation with deplomacy as well
@@fawazaljohani8447 I will thanks ❤️
Sounds awesome, but if there's no war and conquest, I'm out.
UI looks so much like Kingdom Come: Deliverance
They're coming out with armor and other things.
Not looking forward to the armor/shields myself. Just doesn't fit the peasant vibe IMO.
@@LBurhennthe game is called medieval dynasty with no armor and swords how dumb is that
I started that game yesterday,by luck i found it .. i could not stop playing i played 24 h straight now i got headache and I m tired 😴 good night
Awesome game, I just upgraded finally to a PS5 and I am going to revisit this game tonight!
@@ALifeUnanalyzedIsALifeUnlived will there be a 2nd version ?
I came because I've played for several hours now and wanted to see if anyone else was going to talk about the writing. It might be the worst writing I've ever experienced in a game. It's not even so bad it's funny. It's all just boring or cringe. That said, everything else seems fine.
Realism meaning separating a magic task to many magic tasks. Nobody wants realism and take weeks to build something by hard work that on many instances needs the help of others too. So instead of realism call it levels of game micromanagement 😂. The most realistic thing a game can do in building is a lord contracting builders and suppliers, then wait hehe.
who's the random guy in left corner? lol
That's me haha, I stream from time to time lol:D
Must be making this video to convince veterans of survival game to buy and play this one. Not for new players looking for "How to do .... ".
After looking at the poor AI combat has thrown me off
4:25 I want to escape reality, not dive myself in it
Can you just stay a simpleton?
This game is just a visual spreadsheet. Looks nice or even complex but its all shallow af. There is nothing dynamic.
The Developers dont care about what We want. They do what they want. Its sad.
This game need mods or is going to die
GAME IS TRASH ON SOO MANY LEVELS
game is extremely boring
Don’t forget your adhd meds
@@omensoffate man I need them LOL. I tried to get into the game for like two hours and just couldn't click. Mouse sens feels extremely weird among other things. Just feels like it needs some more time in the oven. Also highly likely it's just not for me!
