That may very well be the best review I have ever watched. I finally started playing this last night and put 7 hours in before I made myself stop for the night. I had planned to try it earlier, but my other addiction, Farm Simulator 22, I couldn’t cut that cord to give this game a try. Now I’m worried I may not go back to FS22 for a while, heh. Anyway, this review perfectly described the time I have put into this game thus far. Well done!

Love this game and have lots of hours into it. Just recently got the City achiement. But I also have some gripes with it. Craft and refining food items is way too slow, both for you and people as cook. And I wish there was some form of different forms of houses. It gets pretty boring when you got 30 of the same house
If it helps, in the menu there's an option to make it so that no matter how many of an item you wish to craft it only takes the time it would to craft 1 of that item. Makes it mucccch quicker
Wood houses and stone houses, wattle houses. And they look different if you add insulation. Small medium and big houses.

Thanks for the presentation. Good pointer about reducing hazard levels while getting a feel for the game. It'll be a nice change from games where villagers carry out my will from day one. Also, I can't wait to duke it out with a bear.

Knives and berries are great for making money early and then arrows once you get off the ground a bit

I watched already more then 10 video of the game and still love and like this video. It “almost” make me decide to buy the game. I’m just scared if a gamer like me who don’t play hours a day can see some progress and don’t feel lost in all the things you (can) do in the game
There is quite a lot to this game, and it can take a while to really get into it. Might be best to leave it for when you know you’ll have some extra time to play
There is no real rush to really do anything in this game. I would argue that trying to rush through it can ruin game but. You can increase exp gain, shorten seasons. You can also have unlimited carry weight and fast crafting. Both if those options together break the game but you can do it
Wonderful review. I've been desperately looking for a good long term game to get stuck into and I think this is the one for me 👍

2:55 can you get the roosters to fight for sport? Can the townsfolk gamble on the games and you get a cut then become a gambling lord?

This game looks Interesting
I know of two other medieval games where you can continue playing as your heir. First is Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, it will fully release this month after two years of early access. What it has in common with Medieval Dynasty is that it's a genre that's usually played from a bird's eye view, but instead you control a single person with a first/third person view. In Bannerlord's case, it's strategy - you command your army while taking part in the fight yourself. Sadly in Bannerlord they focused more on the combat and simplified the social aspect. The first Mount & Blade has more social interactions, but you can't have children, so you can't play as your heir. There are also Crusader Kings II and III. They are kinda like Civilization, but you play as a single person instead of as the country as a whole. You can be an independent king or an emperor and rule a country, or you can be a count, who is a vassal to a duke, who is a vassal to a king, who is a vassal to the emperor. With the appropriate succession laws you can play as a woman too. The objective is to just survive and do whatever you want - form alliances, plot assassinations, and so on. Crusader Kings II is free, but it has, like, a billion paid DLCs that add basic functionality.

I went through several videos about this game before finding this one. One of them had a guy who was slow and overly dramatic and kept hinting at people to support his channel. Another one sounded like some guy from Jersey who kept saying "dude" a lot. Another one was dry and dull. This one got straight to the point and described not only what the game is about but also the kind of things to expect from it. I actually came away informed and plan to get the game now. Thanks for the review.

Can you create castles and walls after awhile? Or is it just stick houses, stick town? No Kingdom?
You can get bigger houses and thick wooden log walls, but that’s as far as it goes

No thievery, fighting guards, battles, stuff like that? It looks like a great game and im probably gonna get it, just wondering before I do. Thank you. 😁
It’s more just a town builder. You can steal stuff although it’s very simple mechanics, and fighting is more so just with animals and bandits (but you can turn bandits off). I don’t think there are any guards at all in this game either. Have you tried kingdom come deliverance? Sounds like you’d really enjoy that game

your building a thriving village in this game but the amount of things you can craft is extensive and there is a lot of cosmetic things to add.

What this game does incredible well is the progression. You *always* have something to do and a goal to work for. Only real complain i have is the money economy. Beeing able to craft items that are actually worth something takes very long. There are so many decorations and recepies to buy, but you simply dont have the money for it. Best option to make money in like the first 20-30h is selling stone knives. So much fun ._. Great review tho!

@@LamoReviews I think that 's the biggest weakness of the game. You can start crafting stone knives right from the start, and it makes more profit then the things you craft after building tones of buildings in your town. It 's like... You 're better off just not building a town at all and just spend crafting knives 24/24 all day long. What is the point of progressing in this game? I don't get it... In fact it feels so pointless that I stopped playing the game. Am I missing something? I am really confused what is the point of it all. I really wanted to like this game, but in the end it just feels like a knive crafting game.

How big does the town get? Is there a population limit? Does the trees eventually grow back? Can u get multiple women pregnant?
There is a population limit but it increases as you level up your town. Not sure if there’s a max. Trees don’t grow back but I think you can plant them. I just chopped them where I wanted to grow my town or went into the woods a bit so that I could still have some around my town. Not sure about the pregnant thing but let me know if you ever figure it out!
I have a 60 building limit and I havent reached max yet. Population depends on how many beds you have in village. Trees grow back in 2 game years if you dont dig out the stump. But when you have a woodworker it gives you wood products but trees dint disappear. You can only get your wife pregnant
The text based dialogue is my biggest gripe with the game. I have never liked reading and the amount of reading required to get through many of the stories is just too much. I have completed almost all of the main story quests and have no idea what the story really is about. I just click the option that sounds good and skip through the story. Hopefully they will add voice acting for at least the main story dialogue.
I don’t mind no voice acting if it fits the vibe of the game, but with this one it really needed it. Felt really weird without it and like you said way too much text to read. I missed quite a bit of the story too just from skipping through
@@LamoReviews The frustrating part is that there is voice acting for some small parts, just not the parts that REALLY need it. I have a feeling it is just a WIP thing and they may eventually add the voices... hopefully. I love the game and all the small details that many games do not have.
I really hope they full voice acting, would really take the game to the next level. Maybe they’ll look into it if the game gains more popularity since its release to consoles a couple months back
Are u playing this on Steam Or Xbox? I have both, and got KCD (kingdom deliverance) a couple of weeks ago and find it so aggravating, the lock picking sux, the first person sux, no mini map like GTA5, sniper elites or RDR2 and also no chase camera mode where fighting is a whole lot harder, cuz u can’t see behind u, to move around, also hiding when sneaking up to rescue hans is a problem. If you’re on steam: here are a few games u might be interested in? Sea Dogs Sea Dogs City of abandoned Ships Sea Dogs Caribbean Tales Sea Dogs To Each His Own Corsairs Legacy is soon to be released. If u like pirate games that is? Have u also played Banished if u like city building games.
I played this on the PlayStation. Everything is really difficult at the beginning, but for things like lockpicking it gets waaaaay easier as you level up. The beginning is definitely a struggle! I also found lots of other things difficult (especially combat) but at the same time I found it ridiculously immersive and so much more rewarding than other games. I haven’t really played a lot of pirate games but I’m definitely willing to try! I love any good RPG! I’ll check those ones out, especially the one coming out soon - thanks! 😄
@@LamoReviews My channel has a lot of SD (sea dogs) tutorials for CoAS (City of abandoned ships) TEHO. (To each his own), also have a steam guide walkthrough for Dutch gambit missions on TEHO, just getting thru the first part of of TEHO is complicated u have very little money, have to either rob houses, borrow, complete side quests or use trainer cheat, before u can even get a boat to start sailing. CoAS was a lot more fun, it has plenty of mods now called Gentlemen of fortune or GoF historical Eras. If u get those mods you can play as characters from pirates of the Caribbean (sparrow, barbossa, Angelica and Davy Jones).

Money makers - stone knives in the beginning. Sell tools or old food that's going bad at like 25%. Collect blueberries, use that and old food that turns into rot into fertilizer.

At the moment on steam it’s 32% off which isn’t a bad price at all and I’d say well worth the money. The game is a huge grind and slow to start but if you don’t mind that then yep!

It's not bad, but i wish we could play on different maps/countries, and a different main profession. I despise killing animals, even in video games. And it's missing BOATS.

Killing animals is part of my culture as I'm a hunter so that doesn't bother me one bit. What bothers me is the pop in and yes it should have different maps.
There are many suitable locations to build and you can focus the type of village you want. Pick berries mushrooms and farm for food. Fashion a bunch of stone knives and sell them for food money until you can farm if it bothers you that much. But the animals are not real. I would say boats just arent in it. They're not missing. But render continued to make additions so we ll see.
In the trailer it said how he was raising kids. But i don't want to deal with that. How much of the game is the kids part? 🙄🙄🙄 also. Do i even have to get married though in the game? That's not why i'm playing this game. Also i'm gay and i don't want to even have a opposite sex relatuonship in a game either.
From what i remember it’s females only, and I’m not 100% sure if you can adopt a kid? But you do need a kid to continue the game as you end up playing on as your children

Testimony of Jeremy Thomas Robbins: When I was a young man I enjoyed what most young party going men liked, such as girls, beer and drugs. I would have sex with any girl, any time and anywhere. For so long I am not sure how many I have been with at this point. I had little to no morals nor cares about anything really. Turns out the bible is a rather large book and it was taking me some time to do it. But I gave my word and I kept on reading it and as I read it the words where convicting my soul. I could feel something in my heart start to turn and became uneasy. Then one night, when I was asleep. I awoke to a presence in the hall at the end of my bed. I could see something was there but I was not able to see what it was. Then I heard a disgusting noise coming from it and I told it. You're disgusting!! Then out of the silence, out of the darkness I heard. YOU ARE TOO And it grabbed me. Then I awoke not knowing I was in a dream as the entire dream was where I was and how I was. "Never had a dream like this before and never had another like it again." The crazy part.... I still felt right where "IT" grabbed me, as if the tightness of its grip was still on me. To say the least I have seen something that is not normal nor good. There are evil things in this world we can not explain nor understand but I know as true as the air in my lungs. Spirits are real, so is God and his Son's name is Jesus. This is my testimony.
