  • On the humorous side, Circe's expression as Odysseus has his sword at her throat is very "well, this isn't how I saw that going". On the serious end, I rather like the one to two frame look of pure venom she shoots him at the end before transitioning to "Other Means". I'm not sure if she's reading "I'm not sure I follow" as basically making her *say* it out loud that she's giving her body to him and annoyed that he's rubbing it in, or if it's just a moment of getting her seduction face on to be appealing. Also, I know you said you hated it, but I actually really like the option of the Cyclops holding the Chimera down for Odysseus to slit its throat. That was a really creative way of keeping him involved in the fight rather than being a Pokemon trainer. On the flashback sequence, I notice that there's four nymphs present, but three in the present, but Circe has the same fins under her hair and black eyes in the mirror. Was the implication intended to be that Circe was the 4th nymph and basically let them take her then (like she offers to Odysseus now, and showing the same bracelet at her wrist) to protect the others, or that one was actually taken away by the previous case?

    @OpMegs@OpMegs2 ай бұрын
    • Aaaah!! Thank you 😭 So, about the nymphs, there was a 4th one that Circe couldn't protect. And that's why Circe have the same bracelet, it was the missing nymph's.

Before then, we only had a clip of this song while it was in progress, which other people have made animations of. • Your powered up Circe design made me fucking gasp out loud:D this is so good. THIS IS SO GOOD!! I love the way you portrayed Circe as immediately sympathetic by showing the people she’s protecting and Odysseus as a threatening intruder. It fits incredibly well and I haven’t seen it in any animatics before. Typically Circe is lofty and detached, a dangerous sorceress at the nexus of her power, a threat to be overcome by the lone traveller coming in from below. This is fantastic. Time to rewatch it a hundred times, and in slow motion to notice all the epic (hah) details! (I have watched your Ruthlessness animatic a truly embarrassing amount of times btw. It’s what got me into this fandom in the first place, and I am eternally grateful.)

  • I love every part of it, but as a HEMA nerd a part I liked is the fight: Circe's been practicing magic for years and she manages to conjure up a chimera, a non-existing animal she engineered herself. While Ody is not a practitioner of magic, but he's seen the cyclops with his own eyes so he's able to replicate it perfectly. I see this as a fight of theory vs practice. Also his experience as a warrior is clear, since he doesn't rely on the cyclops alone to win, but he makes it pin the chimera down so he can strike. Of course Circe didn't expect that and it shows. Also as others have said: Circe being part nymph and taller than Ody, him having Athena's bracelet, other nymphs doing stuff in the background... Astonishingly well done. Anni, you're very good at drawing but above all you are an excellent scene writer. I hope one day I can hire you for my projects (videogames with animated scenes)

  • As always your work is so pretty! On a side not I love how much Circe is portrayed like a real mother figure to the nymphs, being dressed in more 'traditional' greek that matches more of what mothers of the era would have worn And with the way the 4th nymph's hand was gripped gave me a more disturbing vibe than simply her being killed, along with the fact that Circe now wears her bracelet❤ I honestly felt like at the end when she saw she had truly lost she offered her own body so that he wouldn't go after the nymphs, and so they wouldn't have to suffer! Keep up the Amazing work!

    • @@user-yh6kx6rr8z I think so. I know in some tellings, she gave molly to a mortal she loved in order to turn him into a god (so she could be with him forever). The moly suceeded in making him a god, but also gave him certain charcteristcs many gods are notorious for having, and he lost his love for her.

Especially with her smug looks until they shift into fear and desperation- how its so obvious that she loathes this threat that seems to play with her with Ody's "Im not sure I follow" bit. Literally in love with every frame of her- if you do end up doing "There are other ways" then I cannot wait to see it!

  • You said you hated the fight scene but I think it was rather quite nice tbh, it's really animated and the designs are cool.The cyclops-chimera fight was cool. I like how you gave circe glowing eyes and the sun-emblem, due to her parentage with the Sun God(well, titan but wahtever, he was still worshipped during the Iliad.).I don't think I've seen anyone give her a magic wand but I thought it was cool. Also her undressing a tthe end? ENEXPECTED, that's for sure. You sure don't pull punches. Never change AnniFlama, never change.

  • I'm not sure if this is actually what happened, but when she questions him where he got the flower, she calls it "Moly", and she probably also knows that Hermes is the only one that calls it "Holy Moly", so when he said he just got it from the ground, it confirmed her thought I dunno, this is just a random thing I noticed, though I can't say I know exactly all the context of these songs

My favorite part was when she recalls the heavy loss they suffered and the reason why she is so vigilant. It literally gave me goosebumps at the implications of what transpired.😰 It is so sad and tragic...🥺😭 But the end managed to suprise me when she took of her dress and Ody cracked me up with his 'I am not sure I follow'.🤣 Dude she is stripping in front of you while saying lust,what do you not understand!?🤣🤣🤣 I quite liked the fight between the chimera and cyclop. It was quick and frantic while they are shadow like giving emphatis to the ones who are really fighting Ody and Circe. I LOVED It! 🥳🥰🎆💕🎇💗
