All the benefits of the gold mask that they boast in the overlay are just benefits of the hyaluronic acid 😁
I don’t nessacerily think it’s entierly bullshit in a setting where the goal is just to be entirely pampered. There has to be some positive psychological effect just from the thought that is so luxurious even if the gold itself doesn’t do anything.
@@MissCaraMint but if you already know that gold in skincare is BS then you’re not gonna get any psychological benefit. And no one wants to be charged an extortionate amount for a psychological add-on to a service that’s supposed to deliver physical results.

@@avao3914 the short answer is that gold in skincare does absolutely nothing and Hyram has spoken about this multiple times. He's super into ingredients so he for sure had thoughts about this facial using something that has no effect on your skin at all. For the longer explanation see my reply to B N above.

And this place is hella gimmicky. Not very science based. Try following Dr. Dray
Hyram does start all his videos saying he's not a dermatologist and that its his opinion based off research. Plus iirc he had a job as a consultant for a skin care brand or smth like that so he's probably more knowledgeable than the average person when it comes to the subject at least and provides knowledge about the subject at a much cheaper price than a dermatologist lolol
Thank you for this comment. I believe he worked at a store counter that sold skincare and he calls himself a “specialist” in his video titles. He’s inflated his reputation and people on KZhead think he’s an actual expert.

So I've never heard of Hyram before today so for those of you who do know who he is, is he educated in any way for skin care? Like is he certified as an esthetician or went to school to learn about skin care or anything? Or is he just a random person who liked skin care and then tells you what he likes or doesn't like based on information he's finding online or reading ingredients or basically anything anyone else can do if they wished? I understand that to fans that may come off as a little rude but I'm trying to figure out what qualifies him to give people advice on skin care so I know if I should actually be following him I only try to get advice from certified people now as I've been burned in the past.
No lol he has no certification or education in anything. If I’m not mistaken he sold skincare at a department store, which is where is “skincare specialist” title comes from

@@laurenelizabeth1390 he says literally every video that he is not a certified esthetician or derm. He's very upfront and honest about it. But I would seriously give a few of his videos a try. He has helped so many people with their skin to the point where if he recommends a product, it often gets sold our of stores lol. He's honestly so wholesome and is very adamant about researching ingredients, company ethics and how products are made and their environmental impact. And he's very adamant about how you don't need to pay a fortune for good skincare (which is why everyone is commenting about his reaction to the gold leaf mask haha). He's seriously my favourite skincare person on KZhead and if it makes you feel better, he has been highly recommended by various other KZhead skin people who ARE certified.
@@Vixin24 It is actually good to know that some people who are certified do recommend him. The few people I watch who are certified and have a degree in skin care related science have never mentioned him before which is why he was new to me. I still worry about him using the term "specialist" since he is not one. Skin care enthusiast is more accurate. It also concerns me, just a personal concern, when any influencer who isn't actually educated or certified in any kind of subject they talk about gets such a huge following because it becomes almost like a cult. For example: I watched another video that mentioned skin care yesterday and all of the comments were tearing this video apart because Hyram said he didn't like the product. That's not ok imo. When fans get to that level it's highly concerning.
