THE ROAD TO 10K SUBS! In this video, I was sick if you couldn't tell so I apologize! Still had to get it out to you! Thanks for all of the love on the recent Tyler Childers documentary. Y'all have been great. Enjoy the beginnings and evolution of Chris Stapleton, one of my favorite artists. Also side note - messed up on the lyrics for You Should Probably Leave. Brain went a little dumb in that moment lol. It should be "There's still time for you to finish your wine, then you should probably leave" Thanks for excusing my mistake! Lastly I read that Chris' dad was an engineer "for the mines" so that's what I meant. I pride myself in giving y'all factual info!

  • Hey y’all! Forgive my lyric mistake! Should’ve been “There's still time for you to finish your wine Then you should probably leave.” I aim to make things as accurate as possible, but sometimes I mess up! Hahaha. Thanks for the support!

    • He really isn't country IMO but the industry has pretty much killed rock n Roll, not too many real rockers anymore but since Chris wrote for so many country stars, they embraced him. He started in Bluegrass w/The Steeldrivers so he kinda got in that way too & thank God because what kind of radio station would ay him, he doesn't really fir in a neat Lil box, he is blues, rock, a Lil country & a damn good Bluegrass singer to boot. So glad the country music world welcomed him. I can't imagine a world w/o Chris' music in it❤

  • I think almost everyone here in Johnson County Ky is proud of Chris! He’s extremely humble as well. A while back Eastern Ky has a devastating flood (next county over mainly) and Chris came to help. He didn’t tell anyone he was coming or there, just started going into houses and started helping them move furniture and things out. He went to the local Walmart and bought water and supplies and didn’t feel the need to announce he was doing/done it. Stand up man Chris is!

  • I just came across this video and LOVED it!! I have known Chris since we were in Elementary school together. He was always talented in high school. Singing for our graduation, instead of giving a speech. Where he was valedictorian. I hadn’t seen him in years after graduation. Then one day I got a friend request from him on Facebook. This was around the time he was working on Traveller. I would see pictures of him and his family traveling out west. In the old Jeep. Next thing I knew his album was released and he was performing concerts at home right before the CMA’s. When the rest of the world was introduced to Chris Stapleton. I ran into him after he was really rising up in the industry. He introduced me to his wife Morgane. I honestly have to say, Chris is still as humble now through all the fame and success. As he was when we were younger in school. Thank you for this video!

When I saw him do White Horse on the CMAs I was totally blown away. It’s one of the best songs I’ve heard in a very long time in any genre. • Calling Chris country is misleading. Tennessee Whiskey, for example, was originally a country song but he sings it to the music and melody of an R&B song, I'd Rather Go Blind by Etta James, therefore making it an R&B song. Most of his music is pop, southern rock, or R&B. Very little, if any, true, Hank Williams, Jimmie Rodgers, country. So you don't like country, and that's okay.

  • Im not a massive country fan in fact im from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿, if that means anything at all probably the south has a load of Scottish roots singers and artists. As for chris Stapleton im a fan he has something very special about him. As for "fire away" thats a beautiful song , powerful, touching, true, and im glad he brought such a meaningful song to the masses.

  • Very impressive done ! Being from Germany, I became aware of Mr. Stapleton through the movie HELL OR HIGH WATER and its soundtrack...especially OUTLAW STATE OF MIND. That song made me searching the internet...the rest is history ! He is not very familiar overhere, but thanks to YT etc. I am able to enjoy Chris Stapleton videos and live-appearances. I simply love this man ! He is my all-time favourite musical artist now. Love all the clips you have in this video, some of them new for me. I really do hope there will be a DVD/BLU-RAY release of a live-concert, as I´m afraid he will never do concerts here in Germany. Keep on the good work, and...just THANKS !

    • I’m from the Netherlands and i’m hoping he will do a european tour one day. He is coming to the UK this year but it sold out immediatly. I heard Tennessee whiskey couple of years ago and bought traveller. I loved it…bought another copy for my brother and another one as a gift for a friend. When I bought Higher the guy from the record store told me that the vinyl was sold out in a second and in was unknown if it could come back quickly. In other words: he is very much loved with a small group of people.

    • @@selinamarie2ableSorry, but I don´t think so. He may have played a conert here or there before he became so famous, but I cannot remember a tour.or something like that in the past few years. Are there for example some concert-reviews ?

      @drummerman1964@drummerman19642 ай бұрын
    • @@drummerman1964 yes there a multiple concert reviews from his Berlin and Hamburg dates in 2016. Kacey Musgraves and Zach Bryan are also famous country singers and still have concerts in Germany (last year and this year). Chris didn’t stop doing world tours because he got famous that’s not how the industry works - skipping a huge market because you’re ”too famous“ would be a bad advised decision. Europe is one of the biggest music markets and all the big people play over here
