  • Forget all the other Superman actors. Christopher Reeve WAS Superman. He was the one who really humanized the character. In this age of gritty, dark reboots, it's been forgotten that the reason Superman is a compelling character is because he's a genuinely good man. Perhaps the reason Reeve could portray that so naturally is because he was also a good person, a Superman in real life. His first two Superman movies set the template that superhero movies still follow to this day.

He smiled and said. "No I'm just a actor that got to play superman." I remember tears in my eyes as I looked at him and said, "you've always been superman, more now than in the movies." I still get emotional thinking of it.

Little do they know...there's nothing good about Superman being cast into a wheelchair. He survived, which is phenomenal. But they have no right to emotionally capitalize on his survival.

I went to tell her what a fabulous speech and how inspiring she was and during my conversation, I noticed she had green spinach visible on her teeth so I told her and she rubbed her teeth right then and asked if she got it. Took another attempt and all clear. She was so sweet, so down to earth, so beautiful. I’m grateful I got to to meet such a truly special woman. She just radiated love and beauty and warmth. But he insisted on going through and the producers treated it like the President of the United States was making a spontaneous visit. Nobody with the exception of three or four people knew Reeve was going to be there, and none of them said a word. Nobody in the audience knew he would be presenting.

( ahem... don't blame me! ) :D And then after that terrible accident, it was so painful to see him on that wheel chair. And then he died... Sigh.... I live just few minutes away from that Walk of Fame, so I walk over his star almost every day. And this is just my opinion, so don't kill me, guys. I think they should stop making Superman movies. That role BELONGS to Chris. I did go to see Superman Returns, and I thought Brandon did OK, but he looked way too young to be Superman. Yeah, I grew up with Superman.
