    • @@almoen5412 they would of drowned before help , you misread ignore mother nature's warning signes,, you die, if he had others in the car IF HE HAD CHILDREN IN THE CAR, it's not balls of steel , he had a pair of pants full of crap, he would of known wat was going to happen, You don't realize in these rivers you can be half way across look up stream and there's a 2foot wall of water above the river height, you don't camp in dry river beds in the start of wet season because could be pouring 20 ks away, then your woken by a 4to 6 ft of water logs trees and thick mud you can't out run, learn about place before you travel them let people kno your destination ect, it can save your life, This is from experience so just hoping this tx may make some travellers think about it, happy n safe adventure guys ,

    • I've done similar. Bush Alaska. I don't recommend it. However, if for some reason (like mine, an LEO responding to a real emergency) there is one way to succeed. Sometimes. You CANNOT ever ever ever ever EVER take your foot off the gas. The moment you do, you create a vacuum and now your done. Stick a fork in it.

    • It nearly didn't. It was close to *floating* as a boat. It would have breezed through easily if they'd opened a door to let in water, but that depends on where the electronics are inside. Then there is the question of where the crankcase, gearbox and axle breathers are--cold water cools the casing and the air inside, the cooling air contracts and pull in water if you're not prepared. The car pulls through, then all the mechanicals are suffering due to water in the oil. Apart from that, deep wading in a shiny 4x4 is a great idea ;-)

    • amen there brother I use to work at a Toyota dealership for years and when it would snow we used a 71 FJ 40 to plow with it was a inline 6 cynlder 3sp and it was a working beast unbelievable machine best plow vehicle I've ever used in my life 🤓😎☠️☠️💯💯💯💣💢🩵❤️

    • Got some bad news for you buddy. The twin turbo V6 on new Land Cruisers is crap. You'd be lucky if it made 100k kilometers on that thing. These engines knock harder than Subarus. The old 5.7 V8 is the real legend on these vehicles. Literally unbreakable.

  • This is absolutely crazy! Never underestimate the power of water even half this depth! Most vehicles' powertrain a in particular their automatic transmissions would be fatally damaged by immersion under load at this depth!     • I don't see a snorkel....Toyota must import air into the engine from the very top of the engine compartment. And yes, the oil cap must seal well. I have had my Ford Edge in high water without problems.....but nothing like that.
