Many believe this to still be the best fighter in the world. More thrust than weight - that means it can be pointed straight upwards and still accelerate! An engineering marvel
F15 is such cool looking plane. For me its second best looking military jet (right after F4 Phantom II).
Sir--------for me, it's just the opposite. I have the F-25 Eagle #1, & the F-4 Phantom 2 in 2nd place, with the F-14 Tomcat in 3rd place. ---------Love 'em all ! --------------------MJL< 76 y/o

I was trying to but we just didn’t have the time. I’d love to do a walkaround on the F-15 sometime though.
The gas meter in my head is exploding. The F-15 burns 20 gallons a minute at idle. 10 per side. At $6.00 a gallon we watched it's $120.79 a minute idling.
Well jp-8 is actually roughly around 3.50 a gallon or so currently. Don't get me wrong though still expensive given the consumption rate.
@@jerrysherwood2886 I'm not complaining. An air show is only a bad deal if you don't attend it. I watch the Blue Angels for 10 days every year at El Centro. 2 full shows a day with 6 F18 Supers. It's awesome...

I'm curious if the movements of the nozzle was as loud as it seemed, or was that just because it was a somewhat jarring sound.
It’s loud
Exhaust nozzle driveshafts spinning to control the nozzles making the tell tale REEEEEEEET noise.
Os pilotos precisam fazer outro tipo de manobras para emocionar o público. Vôos rasantes sobre a pista, em baixa altitude e grande velocidade, como se tivesse um carro correndo na pista. E manobras para sentir a velocidade.
