No phone today is worth upgrading to every year. The only time where the upgrade was worth it after one year was the iPhone 3GS to the iPhone 4.

never was tough as such, they offer 5 years upgrades since a long time. I used a 6 up until the 12 was launched. And even then it was getting updates for security just not a new OS.

I am thinking of upgrading from a samsung z fold 2 to the iphone 16pro I looked at the s24 lineup and the iphone beats it in the camera section as well for its size if i wantted the top cameras on the s24 series i would have to go 6.9 inch slab vs a 6.3 where i get 2 48mp cameras

I’ve used the 6.7 screen size since the 12 pro max, which is so nice to watch with my old eyes but the phone is a little big for my hands. So maybe the pro will be perfect. With the smaller bezels and tiny size jump, I could go to a pro. Of course, I might wait for the 17 to see if the Dynamic Island shrinks a bit. It is obnoxious (for me, anyway)

They're too big already so increased size is a negative to me. Better battery would be nice. I wish Apple would add an option to shut off al lthe unnecessary background apps that would increase performance and battery.

They both both have their pro's and con's it's all about you as the user and whatever you choose too operate and utilize and If you can afford the best of both worlds 🌎 get both of them if not choose one or do whatever serve's you the best! I personally plan on obtaining the iPhone🍏 17 in the future but will still favor and utilize my Android 🤖 as well and if I could only have one it would definitely be an Android 🤖 device with all that being said I know numerous different people who absolutely love 😘 their iPhones 🍎 and despise Android's so it's all about perception and what you prefer at the end of the day 👍😎💪

im ready for the 6.3" screen :) the 11 pro max was the best size for me. im hoping they keep the natural titanium though.
13 Mini is still amazing to me, perfect practical size and comfort for a daily phone and just purchased a 15 Pro instead of now waiting for the 16 Pro as it is the closest in Mini size for a Pro model, will be my last IPhone for a while since they are still going bigger, hopefully they do do a flip style or another hand and pocket comfort friendly size phone in the future.
You'll like the 6.9 screen. I came to a 14 Pro Max from a Note 9. The difference is absolutely significant. The Pro Max seems cramped and I can't even read or do the things I used to with the Note 9. So I'm glad they're doing this; it'll be a game changer. Hopefully they're upgrading the Apple Calendar too...at least to something that resembles something configured in the 2020's.

Got a 12 pro max from day 1. I think it’s time.
Got an iPhone X from day 1 and since the 12 Pro I think every year it's time, but I think it's still not really worth it. And the iPhone 16 Pro is also not a big jump from the 15 Pro.
@@TombRaiderZockertrust me, don't hold out any longer. These new iOS are just terrible on battery life, and the X won't be supported much longer either. I made the switch from an X with a brand new battery to a 12 pro max, back when it was new. Even then, I didn't realize just how slow the X was. Honestly, the 120hz display is reason enough to upgrade. I will be getting a 16 for sure, the 12 just isn't cutting it anymore.

Sony Xperia phones had capture buttons (shutter buttons) on their phones for 20 years and refuse to remove it as it is amazing because it is a 2 step shutter button

I’ve had my 2020 SE for over 4 years now (I’m milking it for all it’s worth!) and it’s high time for an upgrade…but I think I’m going to hold out and invest in the 16 pro max instead of getting a 15. Between the better camera and the increased battery life/charging speed, it seems to me like it’s worth waiting for. I’m also very excited to have a biiiig phone screen as opposed to my measly little 4.7 inch. 😎

I'm sticking with my 13 Pro. I know ppl will say you shouldn't update every gen but these tiny updates every year is making it to where you really have to wait 3-4 years to get enough upgrades. The whole .2" larger screens shouldn't even mentioned as a feature...they keep going back and forth with screen sizes. I didn't even watch the last iPhone event.

The new oled panel will also receive a major upgrade. Upgrading it from the current M12 type that exist on both iph 14 & 15 series, to the M14 type which will be exclusive to Apple when launch, will achieve higher brightness + better battery consumption.

Yeah nowadays there’s no point to upgrade every year or two. Phones are powerful enough now to last a good 5 to 6 years just like computers. I have my 13 pro max and have absolutely no desire or want a new phone. Everything still work as I expecting and the phone easily last for the day so why I should care for next phones?

I am waiting to see what Apple has in store with AI with IOS 18. If you can get most of the AI implementations using the 15pro I may stay with that and upgrade the following year. I would really like to see call screening like googles and other AI functionality.

I upgraded from a 6s to 15 pro and was amazed by the difference. Just the speed and camera are both amazing. Definitely worth it with some many years apart.
I don’t see why they can put on device ai for the 15 pro which has a better gpu. I wonder what will happen with the iPad Pro next month if the M4 chip is supposed to have better processors I’m hoping with the gpu they can also make it on device for ai I already have the Private LLM app from the App Store. And it runs perfectly on both devices. And the fact that Apple already has a academic paper release about how they were able to lower the processing power of large language. Models on device gives me hope that they will at least put it on the M3 and the iPhone 15 Pro , and not make it exclusive to the newest Devices It would be very stupid for them to release the M3 iPad Pro next month and then release another M4 iPad Pro in a year But I have a feeling that’s what there would be doing

I think we are beginning to come to the point where upgrading every two years is not “necessary” seeing as the upgrades that we get are incremental and minor. I’m not sure at all if I am going to upgrade from my 14PM, and that’s a first having that feeling and I’m sure I’m not alone. I’ve had iPhone since the 3Gs and since then upgraded every two years.
