3:41 Wow. Leave it to the Lions to mess up downing a punt inside the 10. Edit: Okay, I get it now. This happened in 1994, when a punt had to be downed by the kicking team if it was in the end zone. Everyone assumed it would roll past the end line for a touchback, but it took a Ram bounce to stay in bounds and Bailey capitalized. The rule changed in 2004 where a punt was automatically a touchback if it crossed the goal line, hence these acrobatics by the coverage team to keep it out of the end zone without going in themselves. So until this rule is changed back, that 103 yard punt return TD will stand as the NFL record.

Yes, to both sentences. Congratulations. Your team has a bright future, not to mention present.
That music in the old school videos is the best lol
1:30 Jim lampley a football commentator?
that surprised the shit out of me
I was wondering if anyone else caught that
The sound of his voice got tiresome to many. Another one was Curt Gowdy. Even into the 1970s he did play by play on both the SB and the World Series!
Adrian Tello that’s what I said
Sounded like a boxing match call haha
That American portrait commercial though! 🤣 😁 I'm happy for both of them!
The Batman music from those old clips is AWESOME.
Dante Hall had the best one against Denver. KC started 9-0 that year
3 blocks in the back
I love how the announcers say touchdown before the returner gets the touchdown
Make a punters/kickers stop return TD's
Occasionally they do 😉
football season can't come soon enough. sundays just arent the same without it. :(
4:36 lol he dropped the ball before he got in
Vasiliy Galenko Jr The ball had crossed the line
mytreker he was between the 1 and goal line when he released the ball, exactly at 4:35.
I just came here to comment that. Pause at 4:35 and watch frame by frame (using . and , if you are on a keyboard). He clearly lost control of the ball before getting in.
It was a shame it wasn't reviewed. He's just going to be another dude who returned a punt for TD, but if it was overturned he would be immortalized as an idiot.
7:30 🕢 The best ever Punt Return!
Damn...where is the Devin Hester highlights
Thx for adding the Cardinals on the thumb nail
The rams one, there’s a new rule now
that play by bailey gee whoever is his son/daughter should be so grateful that there his son/daughter
Got to love chiefs have three on this list thought we have more.. 3 great punt returners.. we did have one against us.. forgot about barker
The longest return i remember is cowboys almost in the edge of the field And was made with only 10 men in the field
Wait what about the Ravens vs San Francisco punt return by jacoby jones
We gotta give a hand to the kickers just for kicking it this far
*skips past the old skool returns*
Kinda feels like athletes and the NFL discovered speed around 2003.
I watched Nate Burleson run that t.d back in the day.
Gotta respect the kickers who actually try to tackle lol
FIRST CLIP, DUDE SHOOK HIM HARDDD
R.I.P to my longest punt returns video..
amazing jukes by the chiefs
That Patrick Peterson return was something else..
The Redskins return at 4:34, did he let go of the ball before he crossed into the touchdown? From a couple of times rewatching and pausing, it looks VERY close to me.
Luigi6545 I think he did lol
2:34 😂 Alex Smith has entered the chat
Special teams are special for a reason.
Well linebacker
Gonna have to add one more from tonight
Patrick Peterson joint was lit
Did you ever notice that nothing good ever happens for the Lions in this clips/compilations?
Not wanting to watch all of them. Any Hester?
At 4:30 he dropped the ball before getting into the end zone check for yourself
thanks for the video
The rams one still confuses me. I thought if the ball goes into the end zone it’s a dead ball? Or touchback.
David Riedy thanks man
1994
The Rams 103 yarder should have been called back for Rams players coming off the bench onto the field while play was still alive.
bjdon99 that play caused that rule to be put in
Let me tell you about Greg Pruitt the runner, Oklahoma knew him well.
4:35 put playback speed at .25 and see that he dropped the ball before entering the touch down
Nope he didnt
TheOnlyHumanBeing slow it down boy
@@Tyspeed0528 they could've challenged it and they reviewed it
TheOnlyHumanBeing but coaches can’t see it that’s why they didn’t challenge it.
@@Tyspeed0528 Bro are you serious? This is a professional football game with thousands of fans. How can the coaches not see the play? They literally got tv screens playing all over the sides for replays
Did anyone catch the old video with the Vikings and the Redskins both teams are on the same sideline 2:24
Who’s your favorite team ?
5:15 best commentary ever
Who remembers OG Dante Hall...
8:19 Talk about a miracle play, Bailey was on point with that ball bounce, picked it up, hauled ass, runs a 103 yard punt return from endzone to endzone to score (first to ever do it and sets an NFLrecord), and the saints were just full of question marks. You just gotta respect that one. What are the odds of that ever happening again?
Is it just me or does the older footage look like they run in slow motion
Who's here after Dwayne Harris's 99 yard return
So big returns for TDs thanks to terrible special teams? Also, what was with the screwed up crowd noise during the second Bears' return?
3:54 where is the block in the back?
I didn't know Carl Pickens returned punts.
I know this video is a year old, but the punt at 7:29 should have been a touchback. Any punt that touches the ground in the end zone is automatically ruled a touchback and a dead ball. The play should have been over with no return. However, I might be mistaken as the clip is probably from before I was born and the rule might have been different at the time.
It happened in 1994. The touchback rule didn't come until 2004.
Rams 103 yards world record.RAMS ARE MY TEAM LETS GO!!!
Lit tripping Glitches Hell yeah!!! War Rams
Did not know Carl Pickens returned kicks
the dallas cowboys punt return at 2:45 was my favorite
You're not suppose to field a punt inside the end zone or did the rule come after?
The Grind13 it came after LOL
Came for my boy pat pete
No Devin Hester?
Dante Hall was exciting.
Can we just talk about how far the punts were
Like the old sound track at 10:56
:41 block in the back on the punter.
