Eminem’s daughter, Hailie Jade, opened up about supporting her dad at his Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction in Los Angeles on her podcast, ‘Just a Little Shady.’

  • I cant get over how well Haillie turned out, totally different from all the other celebrity kids. Eminem really did a great job.

    • it should teach us an old lesson that show business is just that: ALL AN ACT...too many have taken these emcees too seriously; the ones who take themselves too seriously usually end up dead. It's a show, an act, it's artificial - it's supposed to be, that's why they call it entertainment. We are all shocked at her normality, because her dad portrayed such an 'out of this world' persona, all the while knowing inside that he's provocative and bold - like any other Hollywood actor! bravo #takeabow

  • Eminem obviously loves his daughter dearly and was smart enough to protect her from all of the fame and excess that celebrities like himself and their children often face by not having her grow up in L.A. or anywhere where she would be exposed to those things. He gave her a quiet, normal yet obviously privileged life away from all of that mess that being in the spotlight brings. She was able to thrive and live her life without cameras in her face and that's probably his greatest achievement. People can criticize him for many things but clearly he did it right where it really counted in being a great dad.

    • Eminem was controversial. I had a young Son. I didn't want him into hip hop. No white parents did. I didn't buy him Ems music. I knew he had it. I looked the other way. I'm almost 60 .now. Ironically, I'm really into Am now. What I'm curious about- he sheltered his kids from profanity. Yet- he didn't mine. Kim not really complaining. It's granny Madonna that wouldn't let her precious biological daughter watch tv, listen to her music, etc. She can't stop it now. Especially since she's still plastering recent ridiculous pictures. I would love for her daughter to write a tell all- mommy dearest.

  • My son sat next to Hailie in high school graphic arts (public school) for 2 years and never connected the dots because she acted like every other kid. I admire that Eminem basically went to every parent teacher conference. When she was nominated (and won) for Homecoming Queen in her senior year he sat inside the school and they broadcasted it to him. He sat inside the school to not take anything away from her moment. I have seen him out and about in random places around metro Detroit and I am so glad that after his 1st blow up with success that people have learned to give him his space and not make a big deal about it.

This man was going to kill her mom, it's all over his 1998, 1999, and 2000 albums. I listened to his albums as a kid and I was like what the hell. I wouldn't be going to his hall of fame if I was his daughter, however she can continue to love him because that's her dad but...

    • @@starbright6579 He wasn’t really going to kill her, he was just fed up with her and through everything she’s put him through. Their relationship goes way back when they were teenagers at 14 years old. Over the years she started going out of her way cheating on him constantly and at one point she psychically abused him. They both put each other through hell and back and every time he took her back trying to work things out it wouldn’t go as it could’ve been. Their relationship was very damaging and toxic that showed they were better broken up. You should watch his documentary, it’s called Eminem AKA. It’s a really good and you’ll see everything of how messed up his life was as a child, as he even almost committed suicide and of course he was even fed up by his own mother. • Hailie is a jewel. She was her fathers inspiration. Without Hailie, we could have lost My EMS, Marshall Mathers and slim shady. Hailie, You are why we have the extremely honest man that helped us through our own crap. You need a crown beautiful! Without you and Dre we would not have one of the most inspirational man on this planet. Thank you, Dr. Dre, and most importantly thank you Hailie for being the love of my hero's life! All my heart to your family. You have been my rock!

  • So proud man. I have always loved his music Eminem gave me an outlet during high school through his music when you feel like you're an underdog, a misfit, misunderstood, or going through dark times. You need to put in on paper and just let it flow. He made you laugh, made you think, and of course he's cute. Lol he created a different avenue in music. He created the awareness factor in hip hop in the early 2000s. 25 years in the game he's still killin it. This year has been monumental for him. Superbowl and this.

    • Feeling the same. I was only 11 yrs old when I became a huge Eminem fan in the early 2000s and I still distinctly remember reading up each and every info on Em in those teen magazines, among which I saw a paparazzi photo of little Hailie playing in the backyard of Em's mansion. She was just 7 or 8 yrs old back then and so adorable... Still can't get over the fact that she's a grown woman now, just as I am. And Em is still present with us (thank God), topping the charts and collecting awards as usual - the only constant in this realm 😁 May he bless us with many more albums to come and may he be always happy and content with his family and career. He truly deserves it like no other, after all the hell he's been through and amazingly overcome in his life. He's a fukkin hero for that alone, a real trooper, and an inspiration. I'll always admire him and will always vibe to his jams I grew up with 'till the very end. No one else helped me through those tough times as much as he did. His music has saved countless people out there while he was fighting his own demons himself. Fukkin legend. What an honor to be alive in his age and follow his life's journey. There will never ever be another Eminem on this planet again, only the one we've got. May he live another 100 years and stay just as sharp and witted, healthy and wholesome 😇

  • My hat goes off to Eminem on how he raised his daughters out of the limelight and it’s heart warming to see that his daughters never used his fame to get places in life. Children who have famous parents need to learn from Hailee as she is a well grounded and humble person. And I’m glad she stated how having the cameras in her face at the event felt fake.

  • I will always respect Eminem for raising his daughter outside of the public eye. The reason having cameras in her face was such a culture shock is because he never put her in front of cameras. He never tried to monetize his kids by putting them on tv or taking them to red carpets or raising them as public figures. He gave them the gift of a normal balanced grounded up bringing away from all the celebrity bullshit.

My cousins lived not too far from where you were. You probably had not been born yet. But that place, even as a small child, I felt the heaviness of it. I saw my cousin Ricky get jumped from my cousins 2nd story window. Must have been 1968 or 1969. So many on him and all I could do was watch. He got messed up bad. For you to survive and thrive there is a miracle in itself. I just want to tell you that I found you kind of late in my life, and I am so happy I did. I am 63 yrs old. But, before I die you will be on my body. I can not die without a tribute to you and what you got me through. You have NO fucking idea of the strength you have given me in my life. I am so proud of you. I am so thankful to Dr. Dre, and Hailie is a gift from GOD. ALL MY LOVE!!!
