  • Good luck on the vlog. Something to think about as you’re learning the game. Your analysis has to be predicated on your specific table and adjust. After watching for 5 minutes I realized you were sitting with a bunch of nits. So with that being the case, you can’t limp aces in the hopes of a 3-bet. Same thing when you made a set of deuces. In those types of games, just bet your strong hands for value. GL

  • I generally dislike bombpots, since everyone’s uncapped, they add variance, and they can reduce your edge. They can also break games, since it’s so easy for bad players to get stacks in. I’m pretty nitty in bomb pots, but there are a few live reads I rely on a lot in these spots. I look for players that are willing to fold strong hands (with or without SDV) and players that are likely to overplay those same types of hands. I also feel like people generally bet way bigger than they should, especially when they’re opening action on the flop - which also lets you play a pretty tight strategy. Also, since people typically rfi so large on the flop, downbetting can induce some ludicrous action.

  • ok i am watching your queen-jack of spade hand. u got very lucky your opponent folded there. if it were me, i would have snapped called with any pair or maybe even king high! i think from your position, and on this flop you should have bet. sure its multi way but keep in mind, your opponents dont know what u have either and could be just as afraid as you may have been by getting blown off the hand. if u had gotten raised on the flop, it would be most likely by a better hand. your bet on the flop also lets you see where you are at. if u get called by someone they most likely have a pair of some sort on this board. the reason i would have called your river bet, is because it doesnt make sense. if u have any pair under an ace then check calling is the play realizing you have show down value against any hand not containing an ace. so if i am your opponent, the only hand here that would bet like this is a hand that missed or an ace. since you did not bet the ace on the flop or turn, this has to be a bluff so i have to have king high or better to call here. also, your opponent missed out on gaining valuable info about your skill level. so use this in the future when u r your opponent in this secenario.

  • my thoughts on your jack-nine hand. the first thing to ask yourself after his $70 bet is what type of player is this. if you dont have that infor yet being kinda new to the table, then i i think a call is in order. keep in mind he can have anyting here! so if he shoves on the turn on you its an easy fold as the hand he most likely has is a king-queen no flush draw. i dont like your raise on the flop because of what happened. once he called the raise, what did you put him on? if u cant answer that then u r thinking wrong in the hand. i will tell you this i would never have put him on aces here as there is way too much that beats aces here. even in a bomb pot, aces should not be betting like he did. so i would consider this player to be weak. in the future against this player, when they bet like this they always have a big hand! now why did you shove on the turn? unless u have jack-nine of hearts here, a check call is in order or even a check fold! better two pair hands on this turn card. hey you are learning u will get better dont worry.

  • You need to work on your bet sizings, you bet like 6/7 for a connector, and 10 for Ax+

  • ok bud, i have been playing poker for over twenty something years so when i watch poker vlogs and see errors, i have to comment on them. also it may give u some valuable insight as u r starting off. so with your king queen hand you said you called because he could have a weaker queen than you, right? so i want you to think about this. every thing you do in a poker hand there needs to be a reason before u do it. so put yourself in your opponent's shoes for a moment. the preflop raiser has checked the turn which means he may have missed the board so let me throw out a feeler bet of $15 to see what happens. if he raises, then he was trapping me with a hand like top boat or ace-king. but if he just calls then he has a weak ace, or kings, or a queen. so my opponent just called so i am going to bet for value on the river of $25. so in this scenario, this is what i think your opponent was thinking and u paid him off on the river. think about this, before calling the river ask yourself this: why did my opponent bet? if he had a queen then he has show down value so a check would have been the smarter play. being in position and his bet was sorta small, this appears to be a value bet and what hand would be value betting here? and ace or better. good luck moving forward.

  • Unfortunately these players aren’t very much action. Only benefit of coming up in these is that they teach discipline against nits. They do tend to give bad habits when trying to move up also. Good luck at the tables sir.

    • Just saw the bomb pit hand.. even in a hold ‘em bomb pots, top n bottom pair isn’t extremely strong on that board. But I think what’s worse is the jam on the turn. You lose to every single hand that will call your flop raise in a bomb pot now. Check back maybe fill up. If not. Pitch it. Nbd

  • so i just watched your pocket fives hand. let me ask you this: if you were on the button in this hand what would u have done holding pocket fives? in every poker hand, u have to ask yourself questions otherwise what are doing? the correct answer is you would bet. and you would bet half to three quarters of the pot. why? in hopes of taking it down uncontested. now the button doesnt know u dont have a king or seven because u were checking the flop to the preflop raiser. so i would have called or maybe even raised in this spot depending on what type of player i consider the button. on the turn if he continues to fire, then i would release my hand barring no five hits. if he checks the turn, maybe he has at best a king. so u would proceed with caution at that point. sometimes in poker u have to lose money to make money and this hand is a perfect example of that as you would have gain important info about this player. remember, the two players at a poker table you should be most wary of are the one to your left and the one to your right. once again good luck
