    • @@potheadpilot I wish more fish could make such folds. Recently flopped top set in position against a pair of Queens on a very coordinated board that gets worse with each street. He hits his two outer on the river after calling a flop raise and hefty turn bet. Tank calls river.

    • Don’t move up stakes until you beat each stake you are currently at for 3 months minimum. Have at least 20 max buy ins for a live cash bankroll. Don’t bluff in $1/2 ever & play a tight range if the rake is big

  • Thanks for showing, at least attempting, to show some action at TV. It's probably not much of an issue for the Poker Room itself, but I'd guess Tribal is what really holds back most filming opportunities. Graton seems more willing to allow some filming. Locally, Limelight's occasional 1/3 game has a home game feel with plenty of bomb pot double board PLO degeneracy.

  • so with the pocket sevens hand, this is a tough spot. but lets ask some questions. what hand does our opponent most likely doesnt have? that would be a flush because why push u off the hand and lose money unless its a small flush. but in this case, alot of players will semi raise on this board with a flush draw because it probaly favors them more than you. the obvious hand would seem to be a straight here but shoving makes no sense either for the same reason and a straight would want to see the river to make sure he has a chance. the hand i think your opponent had was a set of red sixes. i can see this hand limping in and calling a bet on the turn. of course a shove would make sense on this board giving the flush draw to where you could easily have king or ace of clubs. the same logic for him having two pair here on the turn. so with that being said, it would be a gamble giving u dont have a good price but u do have top set and full house outs and two hands that beat you which i dont think would play this way. so i would have called even though its sucks!

  • I can’t help but think that you’re over folding too much. The QQ hand you had to put in $150 win $680. You only need to be good on that call about 1 in 5 times to be profitable. I know you said the player was straight forward but still something to think about. A call there may have given you a break even session or close to it.

  • Snap call with trip 7's very odd to way over bet jam seems more like a lower set or a lot of pair and straight draws / flush draws or 2 pairs, beating way too many hands plus 10 outs if he has flush, sorry to say but scared money can't win. However folding is not the worst thing only losing $45.

    @richardklein9568@richardklein9568Ай бұрын
    • Definitely not scared money lol just simply the fact that this player played almost any suited hands & low flushes & straights would make this play. This guy wasn’t a bluffer either

      @NorCal_Poker@NorCal_PokerАй бұрын
    • @@NorCal_Poker I guess we can agree to disagree, Seems more like smaller pair the way the hand was played limp call $30 with 45 possible but unlikely and I doubt he jams straight when flush is possible, flush possible. For me $300 is not that much so show me and if you have flush the board pairs 20% of the time. I know you have in game reads that I don't, so sometimes it comes down to your gut, if you think he has it and don't want to gamble on the board pairing then it's a fold.

    • Me too, I just asked the chip runner for $200 chips & no one said anything so I just went along with it 🤷🏻‍♂️ And for the 77 hand, I see your point. • Chances are you laid down the best hand with the Top Set (77s) because usually if they have the flush there at the turn they kinda still want some action rather than trying to force you out by betting 3/4 pot. With that sizing it usually means they are trying to rep the the flush but actually do NOT want to see a river and protecting their hand more or less with that sizing most likely turning two pair, pair with the Ace of Clubs, etc... I recall a similar spot years ago in. a 5-10 game when I got top set to lay down on the flop as well ironically with him having 7s as well on a flop that was [5-6-7 rainbow]. It was 3 bet call 3 handed preflop and then after that flop it was a check (me), bet (QQs), raise (77s) & me check-raising All-in which prompted the QQs to snap-fold and then eventually top set also to fold because he gave me credit for the flopped joint... My hand was.. you guessed it 5/6 suited ;-))) Believe it or not I thought I was good putting both players on over pairs, until he revealed his hand (77) and then I couldn't breathe lol because that was my entire stack ($1500+) and I was drawing DEAD... Wow I could not believe he decided to lay down his hand after 2 minutes... The irony is you will not believe the run-out as they rabbit hunted as it was a 5 on the turn and a Q on the river... Wow the QQs player woulda scooped everything if I slow played the hand haha!!! Btw, I never showed or reveled my handI as I just said "Good Lay Down..." lolzzz
