Jay Leno Undergoes Treatment for Severe Burns From Car Fire

In an exclusive video, Jay Leno is seen in a hyperbaric chamber undergoing treatment for the severe burns he sustained from a car fire. Leno's doctor Peter Grossman says the hyperbaric chamber helps to decrease swelling, increase blood flow with good oxygenation and decrease bacteria. He also says Leno will undergo another surgical procedure later this week. Dr. Grossman describes Leno's condition as good and even says he passed out cookies to young patients in the burn center.
The man has severe burns all over his hands and arms up to his elbows all over his chest and part of his face. He still made the effort through all that pain to bring a smile to the people around him....that's Jay Leno. Jay we all wish you a speedy recovery and thank you for your optimism and selflessness even during a rough time.
And he also brought cookies to patients in the hospital.
Oh it's definitely worse than that. Notice that at no time do they show his face. Do you think that's an accident? No, that's Jay's publicist trying to cover up how bad this is. "Why, he's already passing out cookies to the orphans and entertaining passersby!"
Even in pain Mr.Leno is making people smile...the nurse was laughing the whole time. Love Jay...great man. God speed Jay!

What an amazing, strong human being. He immediately made sure that everyone knew he was gonna be ok and that he was in good spirits. Now he's passing cookies out to young burn victims and cracking jokes. This is the kind of person whose experience you want to remember because you never know when something like that could happen to you.

@Benjamin David Lurie Jesus is a false idol. Have faith in the teachings of Hinduism so you can collect good karma and when you enter the cycle of samsara so your atman will be reborn with happiness. A person’s Karma will determine their rebirth. The day will some with the atman will be one with Brahman.

@@indigo3896 lol hun look up "narcissistic" in the dictionary before using it in a sentence. I say he'll be fine because all his doctors have said it. Saying you hope one pulls through implies they could die, which is just being a drama queen in this situation.

Given the range of stories in the media vary from him giving cookies to little kids in the hospital ( what? ) to the condition being serious, I am not assuming anything, till I see the car fax. This is Hollywood and the guys told fake stories for a living. Roger Daltry said, " we don't get fooled again."
@@maxsmith695 second and third degree burns to his face-chest-arms, requiring donor grafts and an inpatient stay at a burn center does not make for "minor injuries".
@@maxsmith695 and, by the rule of 9's, he is burned somewhere between 18-25% of his body.

I sure love Jay and am praying for him and all the other burn victims. He's a good guy and can do a lot to spread awareness about burns and probably encourage people to donate to burn centers.

Hope he's alright! As a car enthusiast, i have to always acknowledge him as one of the greats when it comes to collecting vehicles and actually driving them/enjoying them! Heal up fast jay!

I hope he does not have significant scarring but if he does it sounds like he is going to be open about it which could be very uplifting for other burn victims.

Its so refreshing seeing a doctor being interviewed. They try to stay as objective as possible, while thinkig over the next sentence and how to form it. Not, pull outta my ass politicians or citizens amazed at the blue, red, yellow car that is on fire or exploded.
I like that he is being real. Our soldiers have to face this. He chooses to be a real example of positivity.

With his great attitude, Jay will recover quickly. And, he's not one to be depressed or shy about any potential scarring - he will work it into his usual self-deprecating repertoire of humor. He's a car guy, not going to let this accident get in the way of his passions and lifestyle. It was worth it .All his beautiful collection and his love for the hobby
So my daughter knows a girl that is 18 and was working in a country style restaurant in the kitchen. She walked past the gas range that had pots on it some of them very large and one was filled with frying oil. The item she was carrying caught the pot handle and tipped the whole stock pot of hot frying oil onto her. She unfortunately was wearing shorts and a T shirt. The oil burned mostly all of the skin off both her legs and left arm. I have seen pictures taken in the hospital and all I could think of was the unbelievable pain she will have to endure when they have to scrub the dead skin off. This happened earlier this week and the doctors think she will be on permanent disability. I hope that both this girl and Jay come through all right.
