  • I bought the Blackshark V2 at launch, was very happy with them though started to get into entry level audiophile stuff. Ended up with an AT AD-500 but plugged into the Razer USB sound card so I get the much nicer audio alongside the ability to change the profiles through the Razer software depending on if I am playing a game, listening to music etc. I don't bother with the software surround etc but it does have a normalisation setting which works well to not go deaf playing Tarkov. Definitely a hybrid approach and plan on getting a proper DAC/Amp but for now works well.

  • Nice vid! Is there any way we can get another video like this but with more even price ranges? I noticed some headphones had more lux versions in the above 100 dollar range but most of them weren't reviewed here; Then others only had expensive models and were presented without a proper match up... Same thing applies for wired vs wireless headphones... Love your vids! Just want more 👏😎

  • I've really been enjoying the Corsair HS80, but I found the volume output of the microphone to be just a bit too low. Easily resolved it by adding some pre-amp through Equalizer APO.

    @hernandrew@hernandrew2 жыл бұрын
    • Did you get Equalizer EPO from my Corsair forum post? I had the same issue and fixed it using EQ APO as well. Battery life for me has been pretty good. I gamed from 10am til about 1am last Saturday and didn't get the low battery warning. I use a V curve in the iCue EQ. I wear glasses and they are super comfy. Also the drivers are canted inside so they are angled similar to the angle your ears poke out from your head. My ears don't touch anything inside the earcups and it's amazing. Once Corsair fixes the mic issue and quality control problems with erratic battery life differences between units, they will have the perfect wireless headset imo. Some may argue for adding bluetooth but I don't care about that as a feature.

  • Personally, I feel a mounted microphone will always be the way for me. The reason I still look into gaming headsets over enthusiast level headphones is because I want to shift to a 2.4GHz wireless. Wireless headset with mounted microphone just seems like the absolute optimal setup for gaming, meetings, and recording. Just hoping for your G435 review. Honestly I'm just happy they introduced a new cheap headset with both 2.4GHz and BT, which is something I wish the Barracuda X had because I much prefer the low profile version of the Barracuda X over the G435. Hoping the next Logitech Pro X Wireless will carry this feature, but its unlikely cause the BT feature on top of 2.4GHz is pretty niche in the performance end. Also hoping you review the GTW 270 Hybrid, since it seems its the first wireless in-ears with low latency functions for gaming. IIRC, it uses aptx Low Latency with its own usb-c dongle to achieve this.

  • Thanks for all your videos. Despite watching many, I haven't successfully identified the right combo of features for me, partly because I'm uncertain how easy it is to convert a 3.5mm connector (example from a SHP9500S+V-Moda combo) to USB. My headset is for ATC voice comms only in FS2020. Other sim sounds will pipe through desktop speakers via a typical analog connection. For USB connection, is a Schiit overkill for my voice comms, vs a simple 3.5mm-USB Amazon adapter? Appreciate your guidance. PRIORITIES: - Big head, tall ears, glasses headset not too clampy, swivel and light weight a bonus - No noise cancelling for ears, need to hear my desktops as secondary sound source - Wired - Open Back - Clear Mic - Connect via USB to PC (if through a 3.5mm adapter, which one?) - Budget $50-200 Based on all I've read, leaning towards: Cooler Master MH-752 (USB) or PC37X or Game One + USB adapter TBD or SHP9500S+V-Moda combo + USB adapter TBD

I used hyper x cloud alpha for 4+ years and the footsteps on that headset where good but the H6pro is next level and the bass isn’t such a bang in your ear when explosions go off ect. • @@babenkoff I have friends that has the A50, and while they love them they also hate them. It's complex... The comfort is very good and the feature set border on fantastic, especially for such an old design. But they all have had firmware issues, driver issues and flat out weird things happening. One of them had to duck out of a gaming session recently as he couldn't get Discord to play nice with the A50. Or it was some kind of firmware/driver/settings issue. Whatever the case nothing he did could get the sound in Discord working as it should. Last I heard he had spent the evening messing about trying everything from firmware and drivers upgrades to testing the headset with a clean computer. Eventually as our game session was running down we got a message he had it working, he hoped. I wouldn't even have mentioned that if it wasn't that everyone I know who have that headset has had similar things happen. Still, when it works it's really good, and fortunately it seems that over the years the stability has become better and better. Another great thing is that they have spares available for them. Something you can't count on for most brands and models.

Sure, but Dmitry cares about exactly the same things I care about with headsets, and for the last couple of years, I've 100% agreed with Dmitry's favorites. I find they delivery very clear and clean sound, the 3d audio is actually really good on both systems, (PS5 headset audio is different from PS4), and with DTS on PC it's especially nice, watching movies, I dont use DTS for gaming. They can be loaded with custom profiles or presets and have some (not many) specific game manufacturers profiles. As for battery life, tbh I have never let them run down to find out, but I believe its 10 hours..dont quote me on that. The only bad thing I can say about them is the headband is a "rubber" type material and can be uncomfortable after a couple hours, I modified mine to have a nice soft foam cushion. Would be interested in a "console vs other" headset comparison.

  • If you like the HS80, I would suggest to RMA it, if your battery-life is really that low. My HS80 is running at least 12h+ on a full charge, which is less than my Arctis 7, but still "okay". The charging time however is very long...way over 3 hours, as the last few percents state of charge, the charging current goes down to 100mA (it charges at max ~500mA when the state of charge is below ~70%).

  • The Razer Kraken V3 X has too much pressure on one side of my specs, which over time will hurt my ear. The other problem I have with it are the gaps behind/below my ears which creates sound leaks. How did you manage to make it comfortable to wear?

  • nice review man... can you help me deciding that should i upgrade my gsp 300 headset to the h6 pro closed ? i bought the gsp 300 one month ago for 40$ and i can get the h6 pro closed new for 80$ only now as a special discount for me . should i upgrade or will it not worth it ? my only use is competitive gaming like 95% of all my free time. thanks in advance Dimitri ❤

  • Steelseries really lacks in the mic department, I've had the arctis 5s for a little over two years and it's probably the best headset they have. Sound quality is great, fits my larger ears and the mic is actually pretty good. I got the arctis 7 wireless a couple days ago and already returned it. The mic quality was the worst I've heard. Even looked for fixes all over the internet with nothing working. Just bad Quality mics with really good quality sound

  • Hey Dmitry, since IMO you're the best in the biz, I would love to see a review of the JBL Quantum One headset from you! I just received a pair as a gift and was wondering if they would be better than my PC37x headset i've been using as a daily drive for the past year. The JBL Quantum engine is fairly intense software and I'm not sure if its going to be better for me in FPS games than the PC37x. Thanks!

    • I have the quantum 400. They sound great but the design is cheap and already broke on me after a few months of light to moderate use. Plus they're def not designed for console if that's what ur on. There's ZERO noise cancelation, everyone can hear every little single thing you're doing or listening to, and the mute button doesn't work. Mic sounds fine and the sound itself is great, but I wouldn't recommend it, ESPECIALLY if ur on console.

    • Just get the beyerdynamic dt 880 600 ohm with the magni heresy paired with the modi 3+. For the mic I guess an akg p120. For a simpler set-up the Akg K712’s paired with the schiit hel and with the akg p120.
