Considering original timeline Barry traveled to Eobard's time chasing some criminal case, its very possible that, even though he was only alive for 4 years in terms of 2020-24, Barry may have been active across a much larger timespan, jumping around times until he had to chase after Eobard.

If you recall, Eobard said specifically that, they'd be fighting for centuries. Meaning even though he was the flash for just 4 years, he was active for way longer than that.
He could have just used the speedforce threadmill to travel to the future in reverse-flash's era.
Okay but I really think that's just maniacal exaggeration because Thawne is narcistic and has to make everything about him. He's born almost 2 centuries from now so they are by default enemies for centuries since the first moment Barry goes to the future and saves that crowd.

That's exactly what he meant. Cuz that Thawne is from a future now changed by the S1 Thawne so when S2 Thawne is researching the Flash in the future he discovers that they fought before.
With all the Cicile episodes we got over the years, I'm certain all of the viewers would have preferred a reverse flash history episode over a Cicile hospital episode
Blame The writers for not showing us an episode of reverse flash origin or even an original timeline episode.

The fact is the Original timeline is so vague and because Thawne says a few tidbits like "you were not this stupid as your Original self" which makes people this that Barry was 100x better. Truthfully though you had to consider that he became the flash much earlier in life which in turn makes him less mature as a person. Its possible a Team Flash existed in that timeline too with just different Members. Id love a whole season on the original timeline though it something that always interested me but as time went on the Timeline slowly disappeared from existence...
I agree they wanted to make it like buffy. I just wanted a solo flash show with cameos.
My theory was that when Barry dies of old age, he turns into pure speed force energy and becomes the lightning bolt that inevitable struck him. Solidifying the “the lightning bolt chose you for a reason” and starting that legacy of The Flash.

I think the ending to arrow is absolutely wild and am shocked that people really like how things played out. Dude spends his whole show saying how cops and city government aren’t getting it done, so I’ll become the arrow. Years and years pass and crime is still as relevant as ever. The hero’s weren’t cutting it even in the future they showed us. So Oliver essentially has to become a god and make a super wish to make crime poof out of existence. No more crime at all ever. Kinda speed ran it there at the end.
Because the justice league won't exist Cw would have never been able to make Batman the fact that they got Superman and Lois is a miracle

It sounds like thawne also made Batman leave Gotham city. Because in the original timeline queen enterprise and Wayne tech merged. In the timeline we followed batman disappeared 3 years before batwoman showed up. But in the the original timeline batman was still active
I really hate how they stopped using vibration effects. The rf s8 suit would have look amazing if he had vibration, and I have no idea why they didnt use vibration in 9x10.

If he had made a Time Remnant to stay in 2000 and make everything kind of happen like S1-2 happens but without all of the death and evil to ensure that the kid him from when he makes Flashpoint goes on to still become the S1 him in 2014 so that he still goes on to create Flashpoint.
I hope someday we get to see a movie, show, limited series, comic book, comic book run, audio adventures, book, or anything that could showcase what that Flash’s life was like before he got erased from existence.

Wish we saw the original time line. I also wish we got the Tornado Twins. Still think that Reverse Flash should have been the last villain for The Flash final season. And it should have more episodes. If The CW did one more season of The Flash in would fit the news paper of The Flash going missing in 2024.
If you search "Barryverse", this is a canon alternate timeline wherein Flashpoint doesn't happen and this version of CW Barry gets to visit the original timeline and meet his twin children (though he never learns that is who they are).
The thing about Flashpoint is that it technically does restore the original timeline but it erases the S1-2 timeline and therefore it erases the creation of the Flashpoint. Plus the Flashpoint is useless since the pre-season 1 timeline leads into the creation of the S1 to current timeline, so he'd only really get back those 4 original years as the Flash and it wouldn't even be OUR Barry experiencing them.
@@OG-ColorfulAbyss. I just mentioned FP to show that there is a difference in events. In the end, the "Barryverse" is an offshoot timeline that showed Barry visiting a version of the OG timeline. :)

@ColorfulAbyss I believe it's the same concept as in the comics - Hypertime. All possible timelines are preserved in Hypertime and Barryverse Barry somehow tapped into it and went there. Just like how the Titans Tomorrow, Future State, and Batman Beyond timelines are all possible futures of the main DC timeline and Titans Tomorrow interacted with the main timeline in... 2017?... yet it's been shown there is no way that the main timeline can now ever become them. ^_^

Yes he was... Time travel, did you forget about it? RF just said they've been fighting for centuries because they had been fighting through different points in time. He was only the Flash for 4 years, 2020-2024.
Now that I think back on it....the whole series should've focused on the original timeline, with Barry disappearing in Crisis in 2024 and Wally taking up the mantle as the Flash. It would've been dope for the show to start in 2020 where the original Barry Allen would've gotten struck by that lightning bolt. Nora and Henry Allen would be alive. Barry would've still married and ended up with Iris. Don and Dawn Allen the Tornado Twins would've existed. Barry creating Gideon actually being shown. The Flash Museum actually being a museum instead of STAR Labs. Caitlin becoming Killer Frost and actually being a killer. Green Arrow would still be around until his old age. Oliver would've actually ended up with a Canary instead of Felicity, it should've been Laurel. Team Flash probably wouldn't have existed and I'm fine with that, because the team was awful when Cisco and Ralph left. Instead of Team Flash it just would've been the Flash Family: Jay Garrick, Impulse, XS, Avery, Wally, Max, Jess, Jesse etc. Cisco probably would've still had his Vibe powers but just like Thawne said when he killed him, "To me you've been dead for centuries", so Cisco ends up dying someway in the original timeline. If they would've actually followed the comic book material instead of making their own alternate timeline story....the whole arrowverse would've been top tier!
The pilot episode should’ve just started with crisis April 25, 2024. Starting out with that battle described in the newspaper 📰 as the first 10 minutes. Then followed up by the new fixed point in March 18, 2000. Then finally we go to present day in 2013 with Barry from the new alternate timeline. Moving forward we would have gotten bits and pieces of easter eggs of the original timeline in every season. It would of have been simple as Barry had moments where he would see visions of certain events but it’s just fractured memories of the original timeline. Such as when he would face off against a rogue or big bad. He would see their alternate version from the original timeline. Eventually, our Barry puts all the pieces together and realizes it all had to do with the original timeline crisis. That his original timeline self aka Flash of 2020-2024 had to have Eobard Thawne get stuck in the past. The reason being was because Eobard Thawne was the only person smart enough to build the particle accelerator sooner than Harrison Wells and Tez Morgan. Hence we get a new Flash in 2013 vs 2020. The ultimate reasoning was because of the outcome of crisis of the original timeline wasn’t the best case scenario. Having Barry become the Flash sooner than 2020 it’s what causes crisis to come to 2019 and Barry doesn’t vanish.
Barry didn't disappear in the original timeline or we don't know he did Centuries after the death of Barry Allen 🎉Thawne ran back in time creating a branch reality were he and Barry could exist at the same time. Thawne erased every other timeline and created a fix point loop where only season 1 Barry Allen and Thawne still exist. The original Barry Allen lived and died in a timeline that Thawne wasn't born in and never even heard of him. A speedster can only move sideways in time which is why Jay Garrett said not to travel into the past because the timeline fractures and never to the future because if something happened to iris or Nora in the future Barry would destroy the present timeline trying to fix it.
But would have barry still die in 2024 wichout the time-line rf created in s1 ep1? I don't think so

I mean, I guess technically you're right, there would have to be a timeline where things all happen chronologically and then time travel is introduced but remember Thawne only hates OG Barry because he traveled to the future and "stole his moment" so in the OG OG timeline it's Barry that messes things up through time travel and which creates the timeline that then leads into Thawne creating the S1 timeline then of course the show happening and now we have the current timeline. A more twisted mess than wired headphones after you take them out of your pocket.
I think Team Flash with OG Wells, Cisco, and Caitlin still works as long as Barry still primarily operates on his own.

I honestly would have loved to have a whole season dedicated to exploring the original timeline!! With all the villains we’ve gotten since season 1, I have been really curious to wonder what they would’ve been like in the Original timeline.

we also dont know when the flash museum we see in season one was created it could still become a thing in our current timeline for the flash, maybe Barry finally decides to upgrade to a bigger more secure building, maybe it becomes a thing after he's retired from crime fighting as a way to honor him and as a way for star labs to be sold off, maybe he sells star labs off at some point and asks the museum if he could use it as a way to create a larger flash museum, who knows alot of mysteries are obviously involved but that is one thing that could still theoretically happen.

What if when Barry got a glimpse of what happened in crisis and he saw a version of him that disappeared and disintegrated what if that was the original flash that disappeared after his fight with the reverse flash and that's why we never saw him again or knew what happened to him after.

That’s explains why he doesn’t exist as a time remnants, but Savitar exists as a time tenant from Flashpoint, and Barry exists as a time remnant in the Reverse Flashpoint from Armageddon. We saw in 6x02 that December 2019 onward was inaccessible through the speed force and infected with anti matter. We also see this is our Barry dying inside the anti matter wave as a the only possible outcome. I think in the original timeline, OG Barry stopped the actual antimatter wave energy when trying returning to 2024 through the speed force (as no one saw him return to Crisis 2024 after he disappeared with the Reverse Flash to year 2000). Upon Nora Allen’s death and Flash early creation of a new timeline, The Book of Destiny was used to tell the monitor how events should go to maintain the original timeline with the 52 known earths. With Crisis happening years earlier, events play out differently and The Anti Monitor kidnaps Earth 90 Flash when he was banished from Earth 1 in Elseworlds (The Anti-Monitor would have not known about Earth 90 flash had he stayed away from the known 52 earths, both Monitors can’t use the Book of Destiny beyond the first 52 earths recorded in the book). The monitor sending Oliver’s kids back in time from a potential post crisis future is the final timeline alteration that allows The Anti-Monitor to succeed. The Monitor technically is a being capable of causing his own “Flashpoints” across the multiverse if not careful and that’s what happened. The Monitor bringing people from the future (Team Arrow 2040) to reward Oliver altered events leading up to Crisis enough to destabilize the original outcome of Crisis 2019 where the original multiverse remains. This decision changed Green Arrows level of empathy, which altered his decisions during Crisis, which lead to his first death not seen in Book of Destiny. This combined with 1) Earth 90 Flash becoming a multiverse wild card and 2) Team Flash and Black Lightning finding and freeing Earth 90 Flash in the final version of Crisis allows Earth 90 Flash to destroy the anti-matter cannon itself. These change of events effectively leads to unseen outcomes of an old multiverse being destroyed to form a new one that is more vast and connects the Arrowverse multiverse to the Infinite Frontier and Dark Multiverse in the comics as well as the DCEU/DCU in theaters and Max steaming services. (Remember Orignal Timeline Flash stopped the anti-matter wave from within itself using the speed force and the remaining heroes fight the Anti-Monitor and Harbinger and win to preserve the original multiverse. Since this doesn’t happen and events play out differently, the Anti-Monitor wins and the heroes unknowingly create a new multiverse and make a crack in the Source Wall. The new multiverse is its own set of fixed points that haves been explain on the Arrowverse shows post-Crisis so I’ll end the timeline history of Earth 1 here because it’s gone now.

I truly have a great dislike for the alternative timeline in how Barry’s mom died and have to die for the timeline to remain. Honestly, I rather have it be Flash having a stable life growing up with any interference from time travel whatsoever.

This is actually good. But I still like the idea that, original timeline never existed. It was the same timeline that we saw, only that the Flash through gideon had been manipulating Reverse Flash to do that things he did in year 2000, leading to his creation.
The original timeline did exist tho because if the original timeline flash never went back to the year 2000 and saved his younger self that wouldn’t have given eobard the idea to kill Barry’s mom and that’s why we have our Barry that we know know. The original timeline flash and season 9 flash are not the same flash.
I think the best possible explanation is that barry was erased from the timeline after eobard killed his mom and so does his original timeline (his kids, his own timeline and whatever and whoever were the charcters in there, whatever organization there was in the OG timeline, his experiences as the flash, etc) and the crisis on infinite earths solidified the curent timeline he's on, hence to maintain balance and continuity, this event needed to happen again, so it happened in an altered way with our barry doing it this time. So in a sense our barry has always lived in a flashpoint timeline from the start and briefly entered the OG timeline when he saved his mom in season 3, but soon decided to return to his original timeline since it was different from what he knew. OR Taking the explanation from The Flash movie released just now, the past and the future always existed this way since reverse flash is from the original timeline, means original timeline never vanished, and has always existed and is out there prior to the event of thawne killing his mom or else eobard would have disapperared immediately at that moment with OG flash as well, means it was never the future flash from 2024, but our barry who went and fought thawne that night and saved his younger self and allowed thawne to kill his mom so that our barry's timeline can happen
Would have loved to see more than 1 episode of flashpoint. Probably would have made the savitar reveal a bit better as it wouldn't have been dragged out as much and would have done one of the biggest flash comic storylines justice

In retrospect, the original-timeline Barry is a lot more like Barry from the comics and 2013's _Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox._ But the "original timeline" is long gone with all of these timeline changes, especially since our main Barry replaced him as the Barry who goes back in time to the year 2000 and fights Eobard.

Thawne not the timeline went back and died centuries before his birth nobody in the future even knew he left they went on the same way 1985 did if Marty got stuck in the 1950s he's family is still in 1985

I like to think that Barry's mom dying created a branch timeline instead of rewriting the original one. I also like to think that the original Barry made it back to the original timeline.
Do you guys think kryptonians lived in the original timeline? Eobard mentions how he fought Superman and was faster than him, and Rip Hunter mentioned how he saw Man of Steel die. However, we know from Season 3 that other earths aren't affected by timeline changes. Harry and Jessie mention this after Flashpoint, I believe. With this being said, it can't be the Earth-38 version, or else they would already know about the Multiverse before Kara meets Barry. So how did they meet Superman unless OG Timeline Earth-1 had one. Harry does say in Season 4 that everyone has a doppelganger, including Kara. Therefore, an Earth-1 Krypton exists.
except that with your theory that would assume that Kara knew of the multiverse before Barry visited her, what if Barry is the reason that Kara and by extension Clark learn of the multiverse? what if regardless of timeline thats how they are taught about the multiverse? obviously thats just an In-show theory as we all know that supergirl was originally on a different station. but as Thawn never says when he raced Clark it could be assumed that Earth 38's superman was the version he raced and beat. that said however as thawne is of the future it could also be theorized that After crisis in both the original timeline ad the current one that the specter combined the heroes of different earths to one earth thus creating a situation where he would still be able to race superman, but as no other details are given about the how or why he knows that he's faster we can only speculate. for all we know Thawne managed to run back in time and earth hop all at the same time, thus he meets the earth 38 version of clark and races him. unless we get more details on that entire interaction its very hard to figure out what happened. as for what Rip said in regards to Men of Steel dying and dark knights falling i believe that thanks to the time ship he has he like the legends have done ended up going to different earths when time traveling, thus allowing him to see those things happen.
@future director Nope. Thawne would have had to have raced Superman before Crisis and before the Earths merged because he said that before Earth-Prime was made. Theoretical based on the way we know Earth's to interact with other timelines, Thawne could have traveled to the future of Earth-38 and fought Superman, which would technically match what he said. The same applies to Rip ig. Superman comes to OG Timeline Earth-One in 2166 and proceeds to die. However, this is never confirmed and implies Earth-38 Superman dies on Earth-1. It also implies Superman travels to the OG timeline in the Future of Earth-38, but then in the past of Earth-38 Season 2, Barry shows up, which, while possible, just doesn't make that much sense. However, in Season 4, Harry goes on to say that every person has a doppelganger, including Kara therefore a Earth-1 Kara and Clark exist, so yes, technically, Earth-1 would have a Superman and Supergirl. What's more like is that the OG timeline had a version of them in the future.

Do you realize that there are more superman and supergirl on other earth, not only 38, why would you assume just 38 when he might have fight a superman from literally any other earth
@Nicolas._. Because that's boring, and if they did fight another Earth's Superman, then that Earth would know of Earth-1 and would probably visit at least once. For example, if you helped out another world, then all of a sudden, you lose contact, wouldn't you be curious and visit to see what happened.

The OG Timeline starts in The Flash Season 7 ep 3, when Harrison Wells helps Barry Allen regain his powers from the Speed Force, this happens during the year 2020, that is why Eobard Thawne told Harrison Wells, "In the year 2020, you and...your wife Tess Morgan successfully launched a particle accelerator that changed the course of history." No the Flash appeared after the particle Accelerator explosion nobody witnessed the Accelerator being used in season 7 when Wells turned it on meaning the real Wells created the Flash in original timeline season 1 episode 1x17 Thawne and Barry appeared from a time portal before entering the house meaning they came from original timeline not from this timeline.
It’s really interesting to ask. Who was more experienced our Barry or future timeline Barry? Our Barry has more years over future Barry. However eobard has more respect and was a fan boy of future Barry. Even though future Barry had some big accomplishments he was only active for 4 years. Meanwhile our Barry had more crossovers, and stopped more villains.

Did they ever explain why Thawn lost his speed when he went back to kill kid barry? I always thought it would be that by fucking up timeline he made it so barry didnt start the speed force on time, which is why he pushed him to become the flash earlier.
Thawne killed Nora stopping Barry from becoming the Flash because He never got justice for Nora death causing Thawne from becoming reverse Flash because prime timeline erased new timeline created.

i just realized something, when barry went back in time in season 2 and created flashpoint wouldnt that mean that it wouldve created the original timeline again but of coarse with some changes but like maybe wally became the flash like he did but flashpoint took place in 2017 3 years before the particle accelerator went off and stuck wallys car making him the flash

What if the current show version saw the OG dying in crisis instead and got convinced that is himself? That might explain where the OG vanished after saving himself from being killed by Eobard. This question is based on Eobard's statement that he and the Flash have been fighting for centuries, as well as the possible similarity between the OG Flash suit at the end of season 1 and the one saw dying in the future vision by Barry before crisis. Of course there is a flaw in this as well, such as season 9's Flash suit is similar with the OG's Flash in season 1, at least from my perspective.
I remember in the original Crisis of 1985, Barry became the lightning bolt that caused Barry to become the Flash. I got a theory what if Barry got his powers the same way as the comic version did minus the particle accelator and Harrison and Tess's was not located in Central City. Thawne was a lab tech that maybe got exposed and wanted to become a hero like the Flash. So when he got trapped in 2020, he assumed Barry was exposed to the dark matter of particle accelator as he was and caused the explosion.
think that the og timeline (sinentist ant not policeman, created KI later alone ?) happend in superman and lois with him dying in the crises with Wally (og not rebootet one) become flash and also olivers death as green arrow, there could be a Conner Hawk (og, Olivers son and not Diggles) who could became the next Green Arrow hope we see this in Superman and Lois or it got Mention at least

In the show, the OG suit we saw in 1x23 was just a CGI version of season 1 suit with the white emblem, if we did get a real one it would've probably been more similar to the newspaper suit. The bright red suit with no designs around it and white emblem with no gold outline, just a yellow lightning bolt.

This is my personal opinion but I think savitar should have been the original timeline flash. It could go like this 2024 Barry saves his past self from the reverse flash he then runs and tries to get back to 2024 but instead gets stuck in the speed force. i know there was One scene in season 2 where Harry talks about the speed force not being affected by timeline changes so 2024 Barry See's his timeline being erased from the speed force but he can't do anything from inside he sees everything from our Barry's timeline past present and future. 2024 Barry grows a resentment towards our current Barry seeing that he lives the life that he once had and all the pain and resentment causes him to become savitar. It probably doesn't make sense but sounds good to me.
When barry and thawne went back to the year 2000 barry could have saved his parents he had enough time and if you slow down the fight he did and when henry allen said run bary run to the younger barry future flash knew to get his younger self out at that time when he said it
I don't mind it being a mystery but damn I would love to see the og timeline and its events.
The one thing that I don't like about "original timeline". . . is that. . . these are 2 separate universes. Pre-crisis is a separate universe (almost separate multiverse, more-specifically a purged and rebuilt multiverse) from post-crisis. So as far as the post-crisis "night of the impossible". . . all of that makes sense since they are recreating events from pre-crisis. . . but pre-crisis "night of the impossible" that chain of events shouldn't have played out the same. We can't be expected to believe that the post-crisis barry came to pre-crisis universe. . . There's a barrier there thanks to the book of destiny and the purge. More than that, barry vanished in crisis in the pre-crisis timeline. Sure you could argue that's OG/OTL barry (before thawn sped up the star labs creation) and not pre-crisis barry, but even then, the newspaper changed dates multiple times, which implies it was no longer talking about OTL barry but instead pre-crisis barry. I know you said about "ONE of the barrys" in pre-crisis was OTL barry, but he wasn't the only pre-crisis barry there. There were also 2 other pre-crisis time traveling barrys as well. There was pre-flashpoint pre-crisis barry and post-flashpoint pre-crisis barry. Flashpoint did happen before crisis. So all of this just feels. . . slightly off. You got OTL barry with 2 altered timeline barrys. So was OTL barry just not one of the flashes that interacted with either of that flashpoint barrys? Cause in the season finale, it suggests that our finale barry was the one to warn one of the flashpoint barrys. . . and if finale barry is a stand-in for OTL barry then. . . that would imply he was the one to interact with them. . . it just seems off.

I think OG Barry was just erased like Nora in season 5. Like Thawne said only the negative speed force was immune to the timeline changes

And the flash would have vanished..so u wouldn't have to put him in it...maybe occasionally see him run by or maybe finale a fight...the flash vanishing and wally west trying to figure out what happened and the reverse flash seemingly wins...all leading to finding the flash .or maybe flash is zombie black flash reaper ...that would be cool .all kinds of stories they could do..blackest night..zombie flash

they could have made an epic final season. since Thawne recognised Nora as Dawne, I would have loved that they showed us a world where the original timeline barry was from. where Patty Spivett married Barry (since he didn’t move in with Joe, he didn’t catch feelings for Iris and so she marries Eddie). Then when RF and Barry run back in time, it could have been exactly like in the season 1 flash back where they come through a portal. would have been so great.
