    • Do you think it´s possible that this version of Batman is (just like in the comic) actually Thomas Wayne? Keaton acts mysterious every time they call him Bruce but stops short of actually correcting them, and I noticed that when he touches the pictures, he very specifically traces over the forms of the mother AND the son, leaving out the father....

  • You also didn't catch when Barry & Barry are going down to the batcave, the little musical score is the same whimsical notes from The Goonies when they're exploring caverns, find the bottom of the well and just as Mikey walks through the water. While the scores are different in each movie, at these points, you hear a series of notes and it's these same notes in each movie. I can only imagine Muschietti having watched The Goonies countless times in his life and probably again several more times in looking for inspiration for IT Chapter 1.

  • This movie with its flaws was still great but I wish Keaton's Batman had been tweaked a bit. Him dying under such easily avoidable circumstances made no sense. He's been batman longer than any other batman we've ever met so either he's completely forgotten any of the bouts he's had in the past or was just seeking out an excuse to die. Batman is supposed to be the strongest strategist in the justice league so for him to be so shortsighted didn't make sense. My second tweak would be to play up the parental role Batman represents. He has moments where he feeds barry instead of himself, shields Barry after he's been shot, holds the hatch open for everyone else before himself (nearly dying) - this should drive home that this batman has a warm heart even with all that he's lost. I would have Keaton's batman start from a place of even deeper disillusionment and apathy. Keaton's batman should instead always die because he chooses to save Barry over anything else including maybe showing an empathic understanding of dark flash.
