Very rusty old padlock restoration. This padlock was found by a metal detector. I don't know how old this padlock is, but it looks old. The padlock is very rusty. I decided to restore the padlock. I removed the rust and rebuilt the lock. Made a decorative golden insert. I hope you enjoyed my restoration video.

I love your videos. I watch every single one that I can! I do have one small question though....why do you only use Electrolysis for few hours? It will not hurt the metal and the longer you use it the less rust you have to deal with. Why not soak it 24 hours with Electrolysis? Beyond that I love your channel and enjoy watching your work! ESPECIALLY the World War military items which you show incredible respect towards!
Well done finished. All that imperfections from the rust well preserved. It says the history of that lock.
I'm here for the show.
Amazing! I love seeing old things brought back to life.
By looking at the key, I'm guessing it's more than 100 years old. Great job as usual!
That’s a neat old lock! Great job making it functional again, it has a cool look to it as well!
Yes
It blows me away at how many of these locks have the key with them.
I suspect selection bias. Not fun having a lock and no key
Respect! Another great result! So satisfying to watch 👌🏻
impressive, the golden sun is a nice touch!
Magnificent job you did restoring that old padlock. It looks much better and it works like a charm too. Excellent work as usual.
I’ve never seen a cleaning like that! Fascinating.
Always enjoy watching some irreparable items being repaired with patience and knowledge . Thank you
Looks like one of the locks mudlarkers find on the Thames. Very inspiring work!

Garet works

Мартышкин труд.
Think all of thes restorers need to get a waterblaster
.
my stupid ass watching this: 🤓erm clearly you dont own a sandblaster
hi buddy, I make dummiest repair videos, okay sometimes I break things while trying to fix them, but I'm sure you'll love it if you take a look :P
Restoring something has historical importance is a different thing but restoring junk , just for a video is just wastage of available resources 👎🏻
Let’s restore this lock that I made to look rusty earlier.
What a hopelessly nasty cheap and ineffective restoration.
Um... Ahhh, No. You cannot use safety pins as a permanent spring, next time use a new cheap Mortise lock for spare springs. And internals looked pretty much stock, even with poor spring, but the outside you should have used Steel Epoxy as a filler on the front, and back covers as well as on the shackle, and key. Then prime wet sand and paint. This not a restoration, it's a repair service to make working again. 2/10. Try again.
It’s his process and the way he does things. Not wrong, just not your way.
Someone doesnt know how asmr works. Its about being satisfying to watch, not about the proper way of doing it. Its not a tutorial.
@@bellsy4622 I know what autonomous sensory meridian response is, it just doesn't happen to me. I prefer logic. Oh, and I do watch "The Why Files" Channel too.
