Maybe she doesn’t want her gowns at these events. These feel good events for celebs don’t fit her artistic soul and the hard work/research she puts into her creation. Her work is art, I watched the whole doc on how her designs reflect movement and dance. I don’t see any celeb who can wear her design well

Honestly, I’m just glad that Catherine Zeta-Jones is out and about and looking fabulous. Things weren’t going so well with her, in between her mental health struggles, her husband Michael Douglas’ cancer treatment - so just to have her attend the Emmys is a great thing in and of itself, no matter what she wore!

That picture left out Laverne Cox's bag, which was a rectangle clutch with a rainbow and "Oct 8 Title VIII Supreme Court" on it. This was to highlight that on Oct 8, the supreme Court is hearing arguments over a case that would decide whether Title 8, which is about anti-descrimination statues, actually covers trans people. She also brought the lead lawyer from the ACLU, who are heading the defendant's case, as her date. There's a real danger that, because of the conservative bent to the judges right now, this case could set precedent that Title 8 does not cover descrimination based on gender identity. That would mean it would have to be explicitly added to Title 8 through legislation, and that might be something that takes years, which could leave huge numbers of trans and NB people without protections. Regardless of her dress, she was making sure to highlight something that's going to put trans and nb people's lives at risk if the case goes south and I think that's something worth mentioning.

I can't believe how bad some of these looks were! But Zendaya, Sandra Oh, and Catherine O'Hara were my favorites by far and looked stunning.
I don't wear wigs and never have and yet every wig ever was snatched off my head after I saw Zendaya. I almost passed out. Genuinely one of the most beautiful dresses I've ever seen in my life. I'm not a fashion aficionado by anyone's accord, but I've followed award seasons for 10 years so I've seen more than enough dresses. This has got to be top 20, maybe 10.

It doesn't look very haute couture to me. The print, pattern and fabric reminds me of a summer dress you would wear on a picnic, with a little fabric added to make it pass for a gown. But I do agree, Lena looks very fresh and lovely in it.

Gwendoline's dress was definitely designed with Brienne of Tarth in mind. If you look at the details, they're all very specific to her character. It was a really cool send off.

I'm trying for a while to find the pattern he is looking for and I came up with: the garment in itself has to make sense(good cut, right fabric, good construction, shouldn't look cheep or unfinished, good colour combination). Then the garment has to make sense on the client (should fit their body perfectly, should fit their personal style and age appropriately, bags and shoes have to fit the whole image) His personal preferences: clean, classic and simple OR totaly artistic and over the top but still following the requirements above. All in all very hard to tick all the boxes and in the end there is ones personal preference, but that's the fun part, right?
