    • I think SAS is a big fan of Kyrie and as of such he became disappointed with him. Everytime SAS speaks bad about someone, it is mainly about Kyrie. Even when Kyrie scored 60 points, Stephen A smith said he can do this in his sleep. No matter what good Kyrie does, SAS is going to always find something bad to say about the guy. Yes I do think he should invite him on the show and have a face to face talk. All of this over a Tweet Kyrie said. So the fact that this bothered him means he felt Kyrie was talking about him which also means Kyrie may of been right with what he had to say. You can bring up facts about a guy, dirty laundry about a person, but truth is truth. Kyrie is who he is. People are going to love him or hate him. In SAS case, I felt he at one point was a big, big fan of Kyrie and really loved him the most. SAS felt let down by him and just decided to take all his anger and frustration out on Kyrie. He always wants to know what Kyrie is doing, what he said, what he does on and off the court. Now who pays attention to an athlete in that detail? I can be a fan of Kyrie and don't care what he tweets or what he does with his personal life. But in SAS case, he decide to devote a segment just to talk about him. SAS has emotional problems.

Max tried to hold Kyrie accountable and make him answer the questions. Afterward, SAS went on about how intelligent Kyrie was, even as Max challenged him by pointing out that Kyrie has not shown himself to be particularly intelligent (flat earth, random nonsense, etc.). Now SAS wants smoke. OK. I hope he does better than last time.

  • My biggest takeaway from Kyries and Stephen As feud is the shift of the perception towards the workforce within generations. Stephen A believes- if you are getting paid good money to do your job you better show up because you have teammates, fans, and a whole organization relying on you. You signed up for this so unless you’re injured you better show up. Kyrie believes- that is slave mentality; just because I’m getting paid to do my job doesn’t mean I have to forget about what I believe in and not put me and my families well being first. He believes Stephen A is a puppet because Stephen A will do whatever for ESPN. Kyrie believes Stephen A is puppet because Stephen A voice holds weight because ESPN says so. Stephen A will continue to be the personality he is because it generates revenue for ESPN, but as soon as he says something that jeopardizes ESPNs business (even if its something he believes or something for HIS well being) he would get cut off just like anyone else. Kyrie could probably do a better job making his message more clear and not be as cryptic in the things in he says/post, so his fans can get behind him more but thats not my place to judge. Stephen As philosophy is do whatever it takes to protect your job/money because that is what got you to this point of success(This is the 2000 gen mentality) Kyrie’s philosophy is do whatever you feel is going protect your well being even if it may jeopardize your pay in the future or how your boss views you. (New generation “job is slavery mentality) I understand both point of views but the main thing from all this is that we are witnessing two different generational mentalities bumping heads. Underneath all of this we can relate thats why its hard to disagree with everything both sides are saying.

  • This is why Bron referred to Kyrie as “Kid”. This is child-like behavior. There’s nothing Kyrie has done to show he is willing to be not only a Professional, but an adult and understand that as an Adult and Professional, there are a set of expectations in terms of your performance for which you are paid (Handsomely) for. It has nothing to do with race, it’s about him being a professional and understanding what his job is.

    • @@glenngriggs6445 I understand and agree with you. He is entitled to do as he wishes in regards to the vaccine, but if his team has set an expectation in terms of the players and being vaccinated, as a player for that team he has to either meet the team’s expectation or not. And if he chooses to not meet the team’s expectations, he’s choosing to not put forth his best effort, and that is unprofessional. No one has a right to knock him for exercising his rights as a player, but as a member of a team, you have a duty and responsibility to help your team. And the teams that win at the highest levels sacrifice and give everything to win. Kyrie is a spectacular player in terms of skill set and ability, but he is a terrible team player.

    • @@CrookedJoeBiden I don’t disagree with you or Kyrie, but when you willingly agree to work an organization, agree to their terms and conditions of the contract, you acknowledge and agree to their expectations, he cannot criticize those in the media who look at the fact that although you signed that contract to play in the games, you’ve elected (as he’s free to do) to not play through your decisions. That’s the point they are making. It’s not a matter of black or white or puppets, it’s about being a professional, knowing what your job is and isn’t. If Kyrie wants to win, he has to sacrifice. If he doesn’t, The union of Brooklyn and Kyrie cannot win consistently at a high level.

  • Honestly, it’s really smart of SAS to invite him to the show and challenge him to put his money where his mouth is. While at some level I agree with Kyrie that the media does tend to either manufacture or exaggerate narratives. To call them racists, filth, and puppets is just rude when they’re just doing their job. It’s one thing to be critical of someone’s intent or reasoning in their reporting, but to lump all media into that category is a bit much. Regardless, I’d love to see these two debate or at minimum have a conversation regarding the media.

  • Kyrie and KD have always envied the position LeBron is in. Even when LeBron screws up, trying to win a chip is on his mind. When Kyrie left the Cavs, I saw his interview where he said he didn't want to continue playing in anyone's shadow. He wanted to be the leader of his own team. Well, he got two chances, Boston and Brooklyn, and failed at both. Kyrie shouldn't try to manage anything, he should first learn to show up. A lot of people have tried to defend Kyrie's stances this season. Well, the season's over so Kyrie no longer needs to be defended, he needs to be held accountable for his team's demise. Until the Nets get a real leader they won't be winning anything...a rudderless ship goes nowhere. So now, the media are puppets. So what about fans? Are they puppets as well?

    @JCedition1@JCedition12 жыл бұрын
    • Well have u seen him play? That is where he worked his azz off to get to. A point where his skill set is indispensable. If he says he is leaving the nets now, I bet you teams will be lining up to sign him. Don't let a play off series be ur blue print for d type of player he is. You may not agree with him as a person, but as a player.... Shiiiiddd

    • @@harryjay6650 he’s really talented but he’s injury prone and can switch on you with a flip of a switch. Something willl come up that’s “bigger than basketball” and you know kyrie will use that as opportunity to not play. I don’t trust dude.

      @JCedition1@JCedition12 жыл бұрын
    • All players of any professional sport are prone to injury so that's not a justification for not signing him. That's he has a life or concerns outside of basketball should not either. The media has conditioned the masses to think it's all about basketball while going all day about non basketball issues. Now they are focused solely on Kyrie's comments but d playoff is on. People watch and don't gain any insight or knowledge into how d game is played. It's so fustrating sometimes. D nets-celtics game is a good example, while d media was having a field day laughing at KD and kyrie they miss the mark that the Celtics were able to hold 2 of the 4 50-40-90 players in d whole NBA to their lowest stat in history. No mention of task it took or how appreciation for the game, just flimsy insults n jives like a bunch of school girls. SMH

  • I don’t like Kyrie but I find myself defending him more and more. Sure he said some idiotic things after they got swept by the Celtics… but I’d be wrong about the media? These dudes will talk about Lebron every single day when the Lakers aren’t even in the playoffs, just to get clicks and views and likes. They’ll spin anything they can just to create drama. So where is Kyrie wrong? Just because he made stupid comments about running the Nets doesn’t void the fact that he’s also right about the media.

They are together five years , and I didn’t want Max to go but for the brief dry spell they’ve gotten a good rotation of guests coming through constantly imo.
