There's a difference between superstars and winners. When the Bulls lost to the Magic in '95, MJ said to Tim Grover "I'll see you tomorrow". When people said Kobe won't win without Shaq, he went out and got 2. When Tim Duncan felt the pain of losing to Miami's Big 3, he went back together with the Spurs next year with a vengeance. Winners listen to criticism, and they work. Superstars listen to it, and they whine. Kyrie is a big star, no doubt about it. But he ain't a winner.
How he is not a winner when he is the main reason the Cavs beat the warriors. Dude went off on in game 6.
Giannis is the current embodiment of this, everybody was doubting him telling him he couldn’t win in the playoffs, then he’s a jump shot away from am being the greatest to note he’s in the conversations. He has a little reliable pull up now, he’ll shoot 3s from time to time while sill remaining that dominant paint scorer n help defender. No one critiques Giannis because he’s shown that work and hasn’t stopped working since
There is no way he wrote that statement himself. I have seen his press conferences. Intelligence is not his strong point

Kyrie's 35 million a year salary doesn't exist without the media .The reason sports salaries exploded is because of the media and because of the work done by these reporters and media personalities that Kyrie doesn't value, whom actually show up to work everyday. Without the people who create hype and create storylines and create drama, Kyrie is just a man who puts a ball into a hoop well. He's not enlightened, he's not important and if he can't take the heat then he needs to get out of the kitchen.
Just remember, every single solitary season since Kyrie forced his way out of Cleveland, what ever team he's been on, has had a worse winning percentage with him IN the lineup, than they have WITHOUT him in the lineup.

Thing is I just watched a stream of him spilling what really happens behind the scenes and it shows me why he dislikes the media for always twisting things around and not getting the actual truth out there.
This is sad because Kyrie is misappropriating a serious issue to deflect legitimate blame from his actions. He built this team and has left them high and dry for much of the past 3 years, but it's the media's fault for shaping the public perception. That's what he does though, any issue he can latch on to he does to garner support that's what he does, Oh it's the vaccine, oh it's the capitol attacks, Kyrie sits at home watching the news scroll to find a reason not to play, so that he doesn't have to face the fact that he's not as good as he thinks he is.

Love how everyone ripped on Harden for being frustrated by Nets issues but then all those same people voice those same frustrations with Nets…with some even still blaming Harden for Nets downfall. The irony.
I frankly don't see how both of those things can't be true 🤯. In other words, Harden has already shown us all he can't win with a wide range of talents at his disposal. He also has antecedents on chemistry matters... Kyrie is a show-stopper and extremely gifted, he has won in the past under incredible odds and put up good numbers throughout the season. This Nets team was built around the big three (now big 2) that matters quite a lot! They gave away Harden and literally got a dud and a knockoff Curry out of it. Now, imagine you throw that team against a defensive dynamo like Boston... end of story. I want to see how it will end! I want to see Harden prove the league wrong but it takes more than just a second round run, he must go ahead and help Embid win a chip (at some point).
@@rubenjr3085 I really don’t understand the wide range of talents around Harden argument? You’re telling me he had the talent around him anywhere close to the last probably 10 champions (with the exceptions of the Bucks). Hardens numbers two’s have been guys like Westbrook. Hardens best number two (outside KD when they were young and this year when they were a mess) was Chris Paul. Good chance they would have won it all if Paul didn’t get hurt. IMHO Harden has done more with less than any other superstar of today outside Giannis. Harden kept everyone of his teams in the hunt…which you can’t even say about Lebron.
Heck my guess is that Harden will even keep the Heat series pretty darn close in the absence of Embid
Hardin is trash.. he’s been trash in Philly as well, horrible example!
There was a good period of time when it was only Harden that was on the court. I can’t really blame for wanting out Brooklyn.
Honestly I feel bad for KD. Dude played with one of the most selfless superstars in the history of sports. A guy who would let the ego on the side and focus on winning. He left that for..... Kyrie. Total opposite of what I just described. He feels like he's some kind of insightful guy with a great deal of knowledge, but he comes off as the Kanye of the NBA. Not wrong about the his take on thr media, but he's delusional in thinking that this early loss is not partially on him.
Why would you feel bad for KD? This is what he wanted? You don't know what you have till it's gone.
Was about to say. KD wanted this. He wanted to forge his own path with his own superteam but was dumb and got people who are essentially divas not dissimilar to him. He got his buddies and then what happened? One left. One might as well have left and he’s all high and dry stuck up shits creek without a paddle. He hasn’t got the mental toughness to be the main man in a championship team. Don’t act like he was at golden state. That was curry’s team. They already had a ring and just came off of a 73-9 season and only lost because lebron james literally lead every single statistic in that playoff series which is absolutely amazing. Then he joined and the team was completely unstoppable from a shooting perspective. But he joined a team that was already going to go down as (so far) the best regular season team in history. He was not the main guy. Steph’s selfless mature allowed him to shine more and that’s why they worked so well for those two rings. Kd is a terrific player. Skill wise he’s top 15 ever undoubtedly. But he isn’t a winner and is definitely not mentally strong enough to handle being the actual main man on a championship team. He isn’t even mentally strong enough to handle criticism from charles barkley. Let him eat the fruits of his own decisions. Left a team where another ring was on the cards for two divas one of which left him
KD picked Brooklyn! Why should anyone feel bad for him?!?!?
Don't feel sorry for cupcake. He tried to be a leader but failed. Is what it is...
It's ridiculous that you compare Kyrie to Kanye. Kanye is not remotely as delusional and is far smarter than Kyrie will ever be. Also you meant to say selfish, not selfless.
Stephen has a point. I don't agree with him often, but on this he is bang on the money. Nothing he said is not factual. And Kyrie needs to stop with this pseudo-intellectual nonsense. Edit: OK, can we stop with the BS, please. It's a fact that the Nets got swept. It's a fact that Kyrie' (personal) decisions of the past 3 years, affected the chemistry of the team. It's a fact that Kyrie said he "didn't need coaching". It's a fact that he quit on LeBron and wanted to go at it alone. It's a fact that he then quit on the Celtics when things didn't go his way. No one is making this 💩 up.

Nothing is wrong with kyrie Irving. People value different things in life and see things from a different perspective. You can’t force someone to do something they don’t want to just because you wanna see him play. Basketball is not life it’s a game he has a belief and a religion. Why keep doing it?🤷🏾♂️ I am not saying don’t call him out when he is wrong, I am saying they should take a break from each other 😂
Steven A Smith Chain is shining bruh 🔥🔥🔥
Bro, I was so distracted 😂
Dat chain hittin
AMEN….!!!!! Well said..!! 👍👍
Lol media be so mad when athletes talk about them they get in their feelings 😂
Could say the same about kyrie tbh
Not really. It's about kyre
I think Kyrie's the one in his feelings. Same thing with KD the other day with Charles Barkley. These dudes are too sensitive, they can't handle the media. Lol
Tiger.. you posted the most accurate comment on here.
@@lazzi2462 they living their lives and the media is the ones mad though 😂
Kyrie Biggest problem is he never wants to be held accountable for his actions only his intent he’s right about the media but he give media the fire too do this
What bad actions has he done?

I know that its two completely different sports but guys like Kyrie who miss a lot of games makes me appreciate Cal Ripken Jr's iron man record even more
AC Green is the basketball equivalent of Cal Ripken.
That Drip Bayless chain!! 🤣🤣
While Kyrie had a few points in those post, he's legit the worst person to point them out. He and Ben Simmons are the poster boys of the saying "The best ability is availability". Nothing Kyrie says can negate or even address the fact that he's unreliable, and as a professional athlete he can't get upset when the media points it out.
Well said
Kyrie plays if allowed , Ben does not . Major difference
@@js1241 Not true. Kyrie has voluntarily stepped away from basketball for reasons other than covid.
Quite as kept you formed your opinion from hearing the media speak about these people daily. Zion hasn’t played basketball much nor has Kawhi Leonard but because the media CHOOSES not to speak on it as much it’s not on your mind.
Very well said
Kyrie leaves this man so salty 😭😭😭😭
Salty? Don't think so, I think Steve is glad dat he's talking bout kyrie, his ratings go up so he's job is done xdxd
he isnt wrong about kyrie tho
When SAS says "I'm gonna be calm..." he will be yelling at you hahaha
He was the same way at Duke. I'm not a big SA fan but he got this right. SAS said it he needs to be on no more than a one year contract at a time
The best reaction to people like Kyrie is to completely ignore them and remove them from all basketball conversations
THANK YOU!
I guarantee he’ll start showing up to work then
Amen!!!!!
That Chain though 💎👀
If Kyrie fan's lives were in the hands of Kyrie Irving, they would somehow try to validate the choice of Kyrie letting them die. THAT is how desperate Kyrie fans are in trying to validate Kyrie's decisions and rebelling against the media. Kyrie is what he is in regards to availability and Kyrie fans can't defend it no matter how hard they try. The only thing I agree with Kyrie fans on is Stephen A trying so hard to get KD to confront Kyrie. If KD had a problem he would've handled it. The ONLY one who openly stated he had a problem is no longer on the team and is still in the playoffs.
A grown man that u never met should never make u feel this way to type all of this😭😭
The only thing I can say about availability is his injuries
@@NellyMoney35 huge facts lol
@@NellyMoney35 lol.
@@NellyMoney35 It’s just funny to see the lengths yall go to to defend a man that says and does completely boneheaded things. The man is about himself and himself only
My biggest takeaway from Kyries and Stephen As feud is the shift of the perception towards the workforce within generations. Stephen A believes- if you are getting paid good money to do your job you better show up because you have teammates, fans, and a whole organization relying on you. You signed up for this so unless you’re injured you better show up. Kyrie believes- that is slave mentality; just because I’m getting paid to do my job doesn’t mean I have to forget about what I believe in and not put me and my families well being first. He believes Stephen A is a puppet because Stephen A will do whatever for ESPN. Kyrie believes Stephen A is puppet because Stephen A voice holds weight because ESPN says so. Stephen A will continue to be the personality he is because it generates revenue for ESPN, but as soon as he says something that jeopardizes ESPNs business (even if its something he believes or something for HIS well being) he would get cut off just like anyone else. Kyrie could do a better job maybe being clear and not so cryptic in what he says and posts so maybe his fans can get behind him but that’s not my place on what he should do Stephen As philosophy is do whatever it takes to protect your job/money because that is what got you to this point of success(This is the 2000 gen mentality) Kyrie’s philosophy is do whatever you feel is going protect your well being even if it may jeopardize your pay in the future or how your boss views you. (New generation “job is slavery mentality) I understand both point of views but the main thing from all this is that we are witnessing the mentalities of two different generations bumping heads. Underneath all of this we can relate thats why its hard to disagree with everything both sides are saying.
Dude you nailed it. Its sad that people do not understand this and theyll agree with one perspective, and most of the time its gonna be whatever is on the media
NOT READING ALLAT 💀
Kyries is stupid because it goes against the definition of having a job lol especially one where you and your performance is essential to so many other people and entities.

Irving and his doing "research" is hilarious!!
He's worth the money, but you can't rely on him showing up to work. He's delusional about himself and rarely, if ever, takes responsibility for his role in things. Kyrie is a headache and if I were Nets ownership and management I'd move heaven and Earth to get him away from the team.
This notion that he doesn’t want to show up for work needs to stop. It only became a topic this season because of the dumb mandate. Other than this season the great majority of his missed games were due to injury. Before this season it was that he was injury prone. Now he refuses to take the vaccine, which the media was pushing so much at the start of the season, and all of a sudden its he don’t wanna play.
He publicly stated that their are more important or just as important things to him than basketball. I don't know why ppl think athletes suppose to give up everything for the sport
@@ContexClues he was seen skipping games to go party last year lmaoo dont defend him lol. His record for the last year is negative hes been losing more then winning and hes one of the big reasons to blaim he fits in good for a team instantly but he then makes conflicts and losses chemistry and acts out. Kyrie aint 100% on basketball his main job and he only tryna make excuses
@@ContexClues He doesn't want to play. If you have the ability to play and choose not to, you don't want it. His choice was as simple as it gets.

"The greatest professional at missing works" lmao
Nobody loves hearing themself talk more than Kyrie. He can’t go a week without ranting during a press conference or on social media about how “unfair” he’s being treated. Meanwhile he chose to sit out a majority of his teams games.. no media narrative created that story, he did. He seriously can’t get out of his own way. And he wonders why he hasn’t had any success since he left Cleveland.
Bro Stephen A loves to here himself talk wayyyyy..... More .
Stephen A. Comes to mind Kyries not even talking he's typing big difference nice try, can fool the ppl some of the time not all of the time. Guilty feet has no rhythm kyrie never said a name, the truth is in the details.
Steven A Smith needs to rant about his barber pushing his hairline back on the top of his big Pennywise the dancing clown FIVEhead 🤡😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
Stephen A has had some crazy takes over the years, but he's right about this one. Kyrie is delusional.
Earth is flat🤓🤓
But kyrie not wrong about everything
Been missing games since Duke.. we gotta question that "injury" that led to only 8 games played and on to the draft..smh
Kyrie before season starts: I’m officially committed to stay in Brooklyn and do whatever it takes to win a title. Kyrie 2 Seconds later: NEVER MIND, I don’t feel like playing because I’m sore! Kyrie 2 seconds before the 2nd game of the season: I ACTUALLY CAN’T PLAY TODAY Because of personal reasons!! Kyrie Irving right before the next game of the season: I DON’T WANT TO PLAY TODAY because I’m traumatized about the Capital Riots situation!!🤣🤣 Kyrie Just before tip-off the next game: I actually don’t feel like playing because I’m personally distressed about the media talking bad about me. I need them to RESPECT MY PRIVACY!!🤣🤣 Kyrie Right before the game after that: HEY GUYS, I don’t feel like playing tonight because I’m personally too STRESSED ABOUT all of the things that’s happened this season!🤣🤣 Kyrie AFTER the last game when we need him the most: I didn’t play because I COMPLETELY SLEPT IN and totally forgot I had a game I NEEDED TO PLAY!! I didn’t wake up until the final buzzer sounded!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
at least he aint using the mental health excuse or the my back issue or the mental health issue caused by bad back to flare up again. How does Kevin Durant not explode when listening to all these excuses and laziness from his teammates is beyond me. Ironic how he can stand and tolerate kyrie and ben but not draymond green LOL. Its just odd to me.
This is stupid the organization went full fascist and forced their players to get a medical procedure that 95% of the league didn’t have to
They didn’t even address Kyries tweet about how reporters just cover their mockery by saying “our job is to critique you” i wonder why🤔
Facts, SAS completely avoided the Tweet topic...
Well that is their job....
Um… because of the reason we’re all commenting here. There media job is simply to host a large forum and discuss with constructive or non constructive criticism their opinions on sports. Given what SAS is saying… he’s right! We talking basketball and this dude is getting paid millions for his talent when he’s clearly a time abuser. We all have coworkers like this who still expect to get paid and negate from their lack of contribution to be efficient at work. They got swept! He’s too skilled for them to have gotten swept… so he’s become a liability and he’s trying to reverse the narrative off the fact that he’s being legitimately called out.
That’s their job tho 🤔…..
@@akirakatani4726 Na man, Stephan A calling Kyrie “someone who is thinking he’s above people,” and “weak” isn’t just basketball.. That’s coming for a person and creating a perception about then. Then when kyrie actually replies to that bc he is a human with feelings, Stephen A wants to say “Ohh i get paid to critique you”. Stephen A should stick to basketball especially since he’s telling Kyrie to do the same. Trust me im not defending everything Kyrie has done bc he ain’t perfect. But his message is that People like Stephan are basically aloud to say ANYTHING they want about how kyrie chooses to go about things even if they aren’t just basketball critiques… But just get to defend it easily by sayin oh this is my job to critique you. They not just critiquing basketball trust me Kyrie wouldn’t care if it was just about him getting swept. Id be upset if people said im delusional and egotistical selfish cuz i didn’t a vaccine or just choices that i make as my own man.

He didn’t unload. He wasn’t loud wit energy like u would’ve thought
So he just admitted Kyrie lives rent free on his head??? 😂
"I'm gonna be calm when I say this" 😆😆😆😆
A friend of mine told me once, when we first met, that "I do what I want" is his motto. I told him to let me know how that works out for him later. 20 years later he has been in prison twice and is on his way back for his third and last trip. "I do what I want" didn't work out so well for him. He wanted more than he deserved, and eventually got what he earned.
Kyrie up on his high horse once again 😂😂😂 thinks he’s smarter than everyone around him
Yup lol! And SAS is the same exact way.
@@neetrab yup which is why Stephen A is so triggered by him
The smartest person in the room never has to say they’re the smartest person in the room because it’s obvious. The moment someone starts saying that, you can guarantee it’s not true.
Kyrie isn’t lying about the media dragging athletes names and pushing narratives for profit if we’re being honest. And funny enough, he didn’t even call anyone out personally 😭 Stephen A must know he’s apart of this 🤷🏾♂️
Stop the nonsense where everyone is calling out Kyrie on his lies & BS.
you like not showing to work too as well huh?
Its not rocket science tho. Unless you live under a rock. Everyone that follows basketball knows exactly who Kyrie is calling out. That said, Stephen A is right. Not one lie was told. This just a classic victim mode on Kyrie. That’s every analysts job, to critique and give opinions to that specific sport/sports they cover. 🤷🏻♂️
When you say stupid things, play poorly, and take weeks off because you feel like it, what is the media supposed to say?
Shut up
