So ManUtd had 27% possession, 3 shots, 1 on target (Rashford goal). ManCity had 73% possession, 27 shots, 8 on target and 3 goals. Yet Manager and Captain saying they played well and could have had a draw or a win. Clearly one of the reasons they aren't doing well is self delusion.
I dont know what you were expecting tbh. A team full of injuries and a mangers 2nd season to beat the best team in the world? Was never gonna happen. If they played any other way, they wouldve got battered.
To be fair, they weren't bad in the first half. Nobody was expecting them to go in 1-0 at half time.

We were playing Park the bus for 80 minutes against the beat team in the world currently. If the attack did their job right and caused problems, maybe securing our lead, then the pressure on the defence will have been way less. The defence were able to block city for the majority of the game. Lindelöf at LB and Evans at LCB, 2 goals is what yr gonna get. 3rd goal was just amrabat
Unlike Rashford, Foden didn't settle for a great goal. Rashford in fact must have thought, my work is done for the rest of the month.

We started with a back four containing Evans and Lindelöf as a left back and ended with Kambwala playing what I think is his 3rd or maybe 4th game in mens football out of position at RB. We had no striker either. Yet we didn’t get embarrassed against a team light years ahead of us at every level in recent years. It was fine margins too, Amrabat’s mistake put a gloss on the result for them, Ederson was so close to missing the ball and getting sent off directly before they scored, the same with Walker just before they equalised! This was horrible because we lost to a rival, not because we were embarrassed

I'm not sure what game they were watching, but to say we were in the game and it was small margins is deluded. 25% possession in 90 minutes and the lack of quality keeping the ball in the final 3rd is Sunday league stats.

Ten Hag is right we played well. We missed our chances. Second was horrible from our players. Especially the front 4 no way. They gave the ball away constantly. The back was trying their best. But overall results was expected. We need new players .

I always prefer Sir Alex mentality on fighting everyone no matter how strong or far ahead themselves comparing to us. But I can't help but agree with Ten Hag this time. While he might sound whining like Graham Potter in Chelsea, this squad can only hold City for 45 minutes. When the sub happened, our team just fell apart because our 2nd team is just that bad. While City can just sub their third-tier players which is still way better than our 2nd team. City after New Year is always scary (we used to be like that). And because of injuries, I also agree that he will sub out his important players because he just aiming for draw. Unfortunately, our defense is making mistakes and we conceded 2 more.

Is it just me or ETH has changed drastically. In his first year, he was never satisfied, even when we were winning, he often said we could have done this better, we could have been that, we have a lot to improve still, etc. Which I thought was sooo positive and that this manager is just different than what we had previously. Which I loved, even after we lost a game last season, you can tell he was unhappy, and that I believed we would bounce back the next game, which we did multiple times. I genuinely thought we were gonna be unstoppable this season. Now, I am hearing a lot of I’m happy with this happy with that when obviously we have been poor. I’m still 100% behind him, don’t get me wrong. But where’s the hunger? Where’s the every game is a final now? I’m not blaming him or anyone, I just wish that we would be more honest and learn from this season to be better next season. YANITEDDDD LETSGO GGMU❤

There is no "Processes Structure" to link "Performance Base" with "Monetary Award". Imagine a company sales personnels is on fixed wages. Will sales person go all out to get sales?? Owner & Top Management do not send a Strong Vision, Mission & Core Value of traditional Rich Culture of the Club. Such factors drives "Sense Of Belonging". Today world required such Structure to enhance performance on match day and training session.
That was a game that we couldve won, as they said, great individual performance and we were able to cope defensively for the most part. There was no stopping fodens strike. Although we conceded 3, I think Onana did extremely well. Unlucky goal scored by Haaland, but in the end they were better then us.
