  • I am 64 Disabled and was bored. Use to paint by number as a kid. Never painted anything since then. Decided a year ago I wanted to try and paint using acrylic and maybe some watercolor. Watching your videos has given me great confidence in using different methods to paint without always using a brush. I’m hooked on it. It’s a very calming way to spend my time. Thanks for your help in expanding my creativity.

  • When he brought the white in for the petals I was like that's amazing. I didn't expect the painting to turn out like this at all. It's like a picture instead because he captures every detail as if I could see this place in person and it would be just how its painted here. Breathtaking quality in his work and unique critiques he uses. Very well done.

  • This made me want to start painting again! I had an art instructor at my community college who was so critical and way too honest and all I wanted to do was make him proud and he made all his students feel like shit. So I stopped painting. I didn't even finish my final painting for his class because he let no one turn it in late. But I think I'm finally ready to finish it 🥰

    • I can relate a bit but it was highschool and we got a different art teacher that year who was not very open to different art styles she liked realism and horses and was very critical and unhelpful with techniques and I had a friend at the time who could draw better and was nose in the air about it and made fun of your skills which put me off drawing and other art mediums but I have been doodling here and there and recently help my mom with a little beach painting craft she wanted to do and it was relaxing to say the least.

    • don't ever feel discouraged because of what a teacher tells you. never. no matter who he/she is. you should paint to make yourself proud and relaxed.

  • This is really beautiful and amazing. I very much like the fact that many of the techniques you demonstrated do not need expensive specialized equipment, maybe apart from the small spackle, all of it can be bought in any old store. Makes me more accsesible for everyone

    • Thankfully art has nothing to do with genes, I'm an architecture student and I think I haven't drawn a straight line in my life either, you don't need straight lines or skillful hands, we draw with our minds, so don't be discouraged. As long as you practice and train your mind to observe you'll be getting better and better.

    • @@ephemeralmiracles Some people are just born with a natural talent for certain things, while other people have to practice and work hard at it for many years and still often won't come close. Passion helps though - enjoy what you do. I much prefer watching other people create art over spending time on it myself.

  • Waw!! Que maravilla, mi papá pintaba al óleo y de niña me gustaba verlo, no lo hacía profesionalmente. Pero mi hno.el segundo ha recibido premios por sus acuarelas, además de diferentes técnicas.. pero yo de 8 hnos. No se dibujar, pero disfruto con las pinturas y verlo a UD. Me relaja y disfruto.
