A royal expert has revealed why Charles won’t ever strip Prince Andrew of his titles.
Speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show, Richard Palmer slammed the Duke of York as a “perpetual embarrassment” on the royal family.
After settling a sexual abuse case with accuser Virginia Giuffre in 2022, the 64-year-old was stripped of his public roles and tax payer-funded Metropolitan Police protection.
The duke, who was removed from public duties due to his association with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, is said to have dug his heels in over plans to further cut his privileges, which include moving out of the Royal Lodge in Windsor.
He has stubbornly clung on to his HRH title, which he is allowed to use in private - and remains part of the Order of the Garter - the UK's most senior order of chivalry.
Speaking to The Sun’s Matt Wilkinson, Mr Palmer explained why he believes The King won’t strip this title from him.

Andrew, as far as we know, did NOT commit treason. That is about the only way that a member of the BRF can be stripped of their title. Also, Parliament has to do it, not the monarch. We just hope Catherine is recovering ? and it would have been nice for her to receive this 'award ' publicly when she is out and about again. She most certainly is not an airhead, and holds herself VERY decently in her official duties! Let us HOPE we will see her back SOON.

I’m American 🇺🇸& I’ve NEVER heard of anyone who thinks she’s an “airhead”. Maybe some of the sugars have said that, but with all the nasty crap they’ve said & done, I’ve never even heard them suggest that, but I’m not in the mud slinging on Instagram & Twitter so maybe I’ve missed it. An airhead is about the last thing anyone would call Catherine. That guy who said that in this video seems to be the one who’s an airhead. Of course, no one is perfect so it’s possible to point out areas where Catherine & every other human can improve themselves; constructive criticism is an important skill that all people should use. Having said that, as an American, who only starting paying close attention to the British royals after that disgusting Oprah interview, I don’t know of any real, truthful area where Catherine needs constructive criticism. I vehemently disagree with all the criticisms of Catherine over that Mother’s Day photo. It was nothing but a mean campaign from Markle & her PR team, WME. There’s nothing wrong with making sure all the kids have the best smiles by editing their best facial expression; in fact, it shows her love for her children that she’d edit for that. It’s also very likely that staff did the editing before they posted it yet Catherine came right out & took all the responsibility & criticism to her & away from the people who were actually starting to ask questions & blame her young staff, which, once again, just actually proves that her first instinct, her character is to step in front of her staff & protect them from harm, which is a trait we only see in the few, the best leaders in the world all throughout human history. William & Catherine still have the same & only nanny they hired for George’s birth. I don’t think there’s ever been an accusation of mistreatment from any staff who worked for William & Catherine. How many nannies & other staff have Harry & Meghan had to replace both inside the palace & outside the royal family in America? I’ve heard they’ve had at least 17 people quit, & I think that was the office staff & didn’t include home staff like nannies & maids. Of course, unlike with Meghan & Doria, Catherine never made the British taxpayers give her kids’ grandmother a nanny’s salary to take care of & spend time with her own grandkids.
The criticism of Kate on Mother's Day had nothing to do with Meghan or her team or whatever. It was simply down to Kate releasing a dodgy photo, that was on Kate. Not everything can be blamed on Meghan despite you not liking her.
