  • 2:50 I do know the science, and it's really simple, when you hold up your shield blazes can fire at the block you're standing on and there can't be fire on a block that already has a fence

    @HelloIAmAnExist@HelloIAmAnExist3 жыл бұрын
    • That and what I mentioned in my comment, with the in game mob aim Error Percentage with aiming, which becomes more drastic with further distances.... Which means when the look up aka at a Diagonal Angle this means by definition it is further in distance because (√a^2+b^2)=C Therefore you lower there aim accuracy drastically via making them look up like that

      @shadow15kryans23@shadow15kryans233 жыл бұрын
    • @@shadow15kryans23 wut

      @HelloIAmAnExist@HelloIAmAnExist3 жыл бұрын
    • @@HelloIAmAnExist In laymans terms with mobs like a Blaze which have lower accuracy scores... When you make them look diagonally aka up or down, this makes said fireball travel a further distance... Sooo, If your 2 blocks in distance from them on X axis, and make them look diagonally aka 45 degrees up due to pythagrea's thoerom (√a^2 + b^2) = C This makes said fireball travel (√2^2 + 2^2) = 6 blocks of distance EVEN THOUGH It looks like 2 blocks of distance... Therefor allowing said error percentage offset to amplify by 3x in this example... ^ (Edited in Sidenote: Now this isn't a PERFECT number, since after all sometimes they can float over the ground AND have there heads 2 blocks from the ground.... Which means you would have to be 4 blocks up for them to look up a 45 degree angle in actuality.. Sooooo, This is an amplified example purposely to get point acrossed. It would be more like a 1.25x - 1.5x aka 25% - 50% higher chance to miss with the one block your standing on.) This is a natural result of this diagonal movement. Because, You given said Fireball more chances to go off course since it traveled a further distance going diagonal, which gives more chances to miss compared to the same 2 block distance when going straight.... Therefor more opportunities to miss, directly translates to higher likelyhood for said mob to miss you with said fireball, ESPECIALLY with blaze's lower usual accuracy... Therefore Helping to Decrease the chance of getting hit and lit on fire

      @shadow15kryans23@shadow15kryans233 жыл бұрын
    • ^ That and of course the fact it is harder to light the ground on fire with those fences there when looking up at an angle + Less Directions/Angles for them to hit you at which increases effectivity of shield, since you have your back, and sometimes sides being protected by the fences....

      @shadow15kryans23@shadow15kryans233 жыл бұрын
    • Sooo, The 3 things that make that method useful summarized is: #1: Block Can't lite on fire since the fence is there, AND since it's harder to lite something at an angle #2: Pythagrea's Theorom Implies Diagonal Angles of any type/angle = More Distance, therefor this directly coorelates to a Higher Chance for the Blaze to Miss you #3: Back and sometimes sides is protected increasing shield effectivity

      @shadow15kryans23@shadow15kryans233 жыл бұрын
  • 2:32 the shield always work, but sometimes the fire will hit the ground underneath you, that's when you get hit. That strat he mentioned works because the block you're standing on is occupied by the fence and can't be lit. 28:46 if you reduce your render distance to 2 chunks when approaching the monument, the guardian will never hit you with mining fatigue because its chunk will not be loaded. That way you won't need cow nor luck.

  • A small tip I have: if you think your water might be glitched, swapping it to your offhand and back will update the item's appearance. I prefer this to placing and picking it up because that method has the potential to glitch a non-glitched bucket. (Disclaimer, I don't speedrun minecraft, I've just spent enough time working with water on an SMP for this to have been an issue)

So when you are in the single piece of lava room and on one side you will see stairs going up or down, there will NOT be any blaze spawners

    • If I remember correctly, it's about the exposed part of the fortress being connected to the closed part? I haven't heard anything of the stairs but I have heard of the fact that the blaze spawner only spawns in places exposed and never directly by an enclosed area

  • That Desert Temple strat is so simple and saves so much time, but I hadn't even thought about it earlier. Will absolutely do this the next time I get the chance. Super helpful video for trying to work towards sub 25!

  • Yes, I got to the end of the video. I’m starting to get into speed running, so videos like this helps me a lot. I really like your knowledge of game mechanics and structures (like how the starter staircase is at 4 4 and buried treasure is at 9 9). Thanks for the tips :)

    • Hold up... When he means 9 9 does he mean Chunk Block 9 9 instead of just block 9 9??? He worded it in a way that confused me LOL.
