I actually finally got my first sub 30! It was 29 mins and 19 seconds it's going to be 582nd place when it hopefully gets verified, this video in particular may not have helped me as much as it would have helped a lot of the other people since I've been very into speedrunning and trying to learn the new strats for the last couple of months already, but your other videos, streams and runs have helped me learn small little details to finally get a sub 30, thanks for all your tips and content!

Huge tip for bedrock speedrunners: almost every stronghold is directly under a village. This allows fewer eyes to be used, and strongholds to be easily found.
my iPad I played on was complete garbage and it glitched and I accidentally found a fortress under a village right next to spawn XD

Through in theory, if you could one up all needed structures like ruined portals, strongholds, and villages in a vertical line it would take like 5 minutes to gather resources and get to the End.

@@connorszajko a group of youtubers (k4yfour, pyroah, T-Wag, and a few others I can’t think of off the top of my head) either make vids on this stuff through trial and error or actually go through the code to figure out this stuff and post online. Definitely worth a look, they find some really crazy stuff

You could place a slab or stair instead of the crying obsidian and water log that hence giving you the full block you need that does not break because of the beds Like so Couriway can see
well you'll usually have more than enough obby to do it from piglin trading

well in 1.16. the nether gets a lot easier when you have the chance to trade with the piglins before you go to a fortress because there is a rather high chance of getting fire resistence, which makes the blaze fight a lot easier. Or make a shield if you can. :)
Facts. Blazes, wither skeletons and hoglins are my nemeses in speedrunning
@@jtotheb5440 unfortunately though, the RNG for getting a fire res is the same luck needed for a pearl trade, just under 5%, so you would need a bastion to guarantee that fire res, otherwise you are still gonna need a shield or to dodge

I have looked through si many channels trying to find videos like this. All the other ones are very surface level tips, like, making portals with buckets, and getting hay from villages. Finally a channel with great in depth speed run tips for intermediate through advanced players like me

This video taught me a LOT, I have been able to get to the nether frequently but I haven't had much experience in other components of the speedrun. Hopefully I'll get a sub 30 time soon and hopefully I beat your world record time eventually! Also it would be cool if you were to do speedrunner vs hunter

The reason I watched this was me and my friend were playing very slow a few hours in and once we got into the end we lost our world.. now I want to speedrun the end for the next one at least kinda. Nice video🙌🏼
The most part that I struggle is finding a fortress, it just so hard to navigate and find it

A few questions... 1. How do you know when the dragon is perching? 2. What do you mean by the obsidian 1 cycle 3. How can you tell the difference between different types of bastions?
To My Knowledge 1. The Dragon Always Perch In The Opposite Side Of The Player So When You Setup Your One Cycle In The Centre Fountain Run On Any Direction And Put Your Eye Closely On the Ender Dragon You Can Also use Hitboxes And When You See A Sudden Snap Of The Dragon To The Center Fountain That's When You Have To Run/Pearl To The Fountain And Start The One Cycle 2. Players Put A Obsidian/crying Obsidian Block on side Of The Highest Bedrock On The Fountain Cause Obsidian Is Immune To Explosion They Can Use It To One Cycle The Dragon 3. There Are Four Types Of Bastions Bridge (The One In The Vedio),Treasure,Housing,Stables

Me: Take 30 minutes minimum to find fortress every time Couriway: "Ya, so just spawn a fortress right next to yourself when you enter"
As a new speed runner I think it's important to note that there's definitely alot more you need to know then just bastion routing. You definitely need to know how to one cycle, as a beginner I doubt new players get to the end fast enought to do a normal fight and beat it by 30mins. I would encourage learning about the E count and F3 pie charts for the nether as they help alot and thankfully calculators are unbanned for speedrunning so I'd definitely also learn how to use one of those programs to help reduce time

On the leaderboard website, there are rules for runs and submissions as well as a "submit run" button, by reading the rules and the submit run page it's pretty self-explanatory from there.

Whenever I’m in the end and I one cycle with obsidian the dragon always diagonal perches even though when I watch videos they never do, any help?
I love this video and I’m getting my times to around 33 minutes but I have one question, I’m super confused on how to do the one cycle and what the best way to do it is. What were you talking about when you were saying East West? What’s the deal with the crying obsidian?
There isn't really a best way to do one cycle, there are just different approaches which you can go for depending on which one you're comfortable with. Try out the one cycle practice map so you can see which arrangement of blocks you like the most. One thing you should learn is the timing of the beds. If you press f3 + b to show hit boxes, you'll see the hitboxes of the dragon. Pay attention to the head hitbox, because that's the one you should be aiming for. Everytime the head bitbox, not the head itself, moves over your bed, that's the time when you can right click to get the most amount of damage. Just keep practicing that until you get used to it.
As for the east west thing, basically if you go to any of those directions, the dragon will perch from the opposite side of that direction, you'll notice that when you see the dragon circling a pillar in front of you then it makes a sharp turn towards the fountain
Crying obsidian has about the same durability as an obsidian, so using it in a one cycle can be useful because the dragon will not be able to break it

The beds: Make sure you blow them up at the head, and when it's still coming down. You can press F3+B to show hitboxes. How to tell if it's perching: If it's spiraling up at a tower on the opposite side of the end, that means it's most likely perching.

I'm new to speedrunning and came up with doing the barrel strat even though the speedrunners I watch don't use it. Glad to hear I made a good choice there :) I would love to learn more about fighting the dragon. I thought I understood that part, but then in practice it didn't work out for me.
