0:52 that was super rude when she just grabs her hair and says "with your hair and everything" like wtf dont be touching people's hair??
Is it really that bad tho?
Omega It can be. Some people really really don’t like to be touched. I cut my own hair because I can’t deal with someone else doing it. Mostly because of the touching.
She just really loves her hair
It is really bad for me since I am curly hair, am super shy, don't like to be touched because of trauma, and I am super tender headed. People just come up and touch it or grab it and it scares and hurts me. Always ask for permission for anything lol.

When I was 13 I volunteered at a wildlife rescue and museum for a summer. It was a particularly hot summer with temperatures around 105 F. They had a refrigerated tin shed where dead animals were stored that were used to feed reptiles, birds of prey, and other carnivores. Well, the refrigeration unit broke down. After a few days you can't even imagine the smell in that tin shed. It was 105 outside but inside it was 150. Nobody wanted to clean that shed out so I volunteered. I did it alone and it took me two days to clean out the dead animals and bloody sawdust and scrub the interior clean. After ward the director of the museum rewarded me with any job I wanted. The job I chose was taking care of the 2 red foxes at the museum. It was totally worth it.

My dad was in his car, travelling around his nearby area when he saw a woman who was trying to stop his car. He stopped and the woman told him that her dog had birthed a few puppies. She asked him if he wanted one because she couldn't care for them and he said yes. He took it home and treated it like all the dogs he had before. One day, the dog started its moulting session and my dad was surprised when he saw that the coat was tinted orange. The 'dog' had pointy ears, a bushy tail and 'that face'. That's when he realised he had adopted a half fox. He said it was the best time of his life. Until one day... My dad had a friend called [Steve] and he was always doing the wrong thing. My dad had left the fox in the back garden while he was going to the shop and told [Steve] to not open the gate. Guess what. He opened the gate. The fox sprinted into the road and.... Yelp. He had got hit by a car. My dad knew that something was wrong because of that noise. He ran over and found the fox huddled in the corner of his garden, with the gate open. The fox was not okay. He was shivering and in pain, because his back leg was hanging on by a thread. Luckily, a woman who came over to help knew someone who could help. The fox was taken to her and she tried to fix the leg (it was crushed and severed). By a miracle, the vet reconstructed the leg and the fox could limp on it. Happy as ever, the fox could bound around still, and didn't seem to be bothered with the metal in his leg. This is definitely a happily ever after story, because the fox lived another 6-8 years and died at age 22, and [Steve] was thrown in the dirt.
No no... I NEED THAT OR JUST A FOXXXXXX.

@@leeeeeen9534 lol I was thinking the same thing. Pretty sure that’s not a thing
Do dogs and foxes even share the same amount of chromosomes?? Not possible.
dog and fox dna is too different to breed with eachother, a fox is not even classified as a canine. you can breed dogs with coyotes and wolves but it is impossible to breed them with foxes.
2:57 Her:she's chewing wires and everything! Me: but why are you leaving random wire all over the house?

Im just wondering if a chaos will start here too-
Yeah I've looked into owning rabbits and a lot of the mayhem that they get in could possibly be lessened if they just bunny-proofed or fox-proofed the house. I actually really want a pet fox as I have had both cats and dogs. Foxes are amazing creatures and thay lady had stuff lying around that the fox could easily tear up. They could get seriously hurt.
When you Google dometicated fox, this is the first video suggested. I think it's so great because most people don't realize how much of a commitment they truely are!!!!

I admire foxes very much but I wouldn't want to own one because I love to see them where they actually belong in there natural environment where they can be Wild and free, but if the fox is raised in captivity then I would adopt one just so they won't end up in the wrong hands and make sure I do lots of research of course. She really has patience to deal with foxes and that's the most important part.
i love em ima get my license and ima buy one and its my BEST FRIEND FOREVER -some are bred for pets
I felt that way. Then I spent a year and a half doing research. I talked to a lot of owners as well. They dig through everything they can't chew apart, they pee on everything you love (even if you litter train them) when you say no to them, they make a LOT of noise and bother neighbours. Maybe another 50-100 years of domestication and specific breeding? Maybe they'll be actual pets. But now? You're just asking to destroy your house and yard.
Thanks bud!
learn how to write, first you say you dont want a fox, but then if its raised in captivity thats ok, because you do your reserch, WTF
These foxes have a lot of the wild, bred out of them. They've been bred to be a lot less fearful, which might get them killed in the wild.
They seem to active and alive. This lady clearly takes good care of them.

I had an attitude that "I want to get a fox and I don't if they are difficult." After watching this I see this is not a pet for 99% of ppl. Thank you for this video and stopping me from making a serious mistake. TBH though, this kind of animal is basically the pinnacle of cuteness. Its like a mix of a puppy and a kitten. You could die from cuteness watching these guys

That is the most perfect little fox I've ever seen 😍
My car has very high energy and although she’s quite hard to handle I could never take care of a fox. Like the fox literally never stopped. RIP fox lady
I adopted a wolf from an animal shelter 26 years ago. I went there looking for a dog and came upon him. He was about six months old. I told the deputy you have a wolf there and she said no, he's a husky German Shepherd mix. Well she took me aside privately and admitted he was a full wolf and he was slated for euthanasia the next day.. I adopted him the next day one hour before they were going to kill him. He was a surrender. Wolves are not much different than foxes as they are very intelligent. I don't advise anyone getting either,or any wild animal. He took a lot of dedication and I ended up divorcing my husband. Now I have seven dogs, six of whom are Aussies. There are no vacations. The house is never really clean, fur is a part of life, they take up 50% of the time everyday and feeding, supplements, heartworm medicine, grooming, toys, etc are a huge expense. Chance, my wolf, was a wonderful companion and I never thought of him as a dog or a pet. My Aussies are worth everything they get. If you're not willing to dedicate your time and appropriate amount of money to an animal or really cannot afford to then don't get one.
you have 7 dogs? that' s crazy. no wonder you husband left))) i like animals and all, but that's too much
i would have left you as well 2 dogs 3 at max is what i could have handled.

Watema 3 yes.
apparently foxes "scent mark" as part of their regular behaviour: that means they pee. everywhere. on anything they also dig and burrow. they will tear through couches if indoors, and will dig dens in the ground when outdoors (or under fences or enclosures) just a couple of reasons why they can be difficult to keep. Beautiful creatures, I'm always fascinated when I see one in the "wild" of my city
Sam Haines foxes are pretty domesticated now, they've done some genetic switching around to make them less aggressive, lots of people have them as pets, they still have some of their natural instincts, but theyre pretty different than Normal wild foxes
Henry Humble Not really. What you say has not been really 100% proven, the once famous Russian foxes seem to lose most of their fame recently and around 99% of foxes we see for sale have ancestors coming from nothing else than... fur farms. And fur farms don't breed for good genetics when it comes to behavior towards humans really. I shall even boldly say, some fur farm foxes are FAR worse than the actual WILD foxes we meet in the woods and everywhere else. I had an opportunity of caring for many foxes from fur farms, and beejesus, were some acting like they were the descendants of DEVILS from Hell... XD
Henry thats just wishful thinking,
I think he is referring to the Russian fox breeding program that is selecting for docile behaviour, although they are also breeding some Russian foxes for aggressive behavior too, so that a genetic profile can be created and compared, with the Hope's of identifying the Gene's responsible
Sam Haines lmao idk I just learned about it in school and saw a small documentary on it 🙋🏻

There are dogs that most people shouldn't own too - like the Border Collie. So many of them get abandoned because people think they're cute and buy one not understanding how much trouble they can be if they don't work. Everyone - stop saying you're going to get one! Listen to what Zelda is saying. If you do, you're the type of person who might think that a Piranha would make a good pet and then take a bath with it.
same thing w pitbulls
We had a border collie that didn’t work, she was no problem. She was an amazing dog.
Bob Levittan I agree with everything you said I think who want those kinds of pets should just have lots of pictures! I would love to own an owl but reality is that I live in the city.
Nothing wrong with pitties! They're great dogs with responsible, sensible humans.
I had a half Border Collie/German Shepherd....her intelligence was off the charts! Luckily, she did get a 2 mile walk every day and that was enough to tire her out physically, but she also needed a LOT of mental stimulation and attention because she was like a genius child....unless you keep them mentally challenged, they will get depressed.

Foxes are literally dogs that act like cats, I love them!
They don't act like cats. Cats are callm. They don't chew anything, everything
Woman: I DoN't ReCoMmenD oWnING a PeT FoX **owns a fox**
I think she was saying the average person should not own a pet fox without doing tons of homework. It's not like owning a cat or a dog...alot more work and likely alot more money. I was also under the impression that she was possibly a fox rescue. She did talk about people calling her about taking their foxes so it is very possible all the foxes were foxes previous owners gave up.
She doesn’t buy foxes as pets. She rescued one and now takes in foxes that people realize they can’t handle. She announced her place as Fox Angels in the beginning. You can google it. It’s an animal sanctuary with volunteer staff.
If you understood her advice you wouldn't need to repeat what she says and make it into something hypocritical.

Bri Ludwig She has a touching problem, I wouldn't mind but it's not appropriate with another woman that you don't know, fox lady didn't seem to like that very much, it's like playing a dominance game, almost like someone saying "well are you cute".. when you're really pissed off!
@@JohnWayne-86ed lol she just looked confused XD as i would be "my hair? whats my hair got to do with anyting" disclaimer: im not really a ceen on this human interaction thing, so my words properly dont mean much. but i would say we chose ourself how we handle other people's weirdness, because if there is one thing there stands true, its that people do weird inappropriate things all the time, and its rarely worth getting upset over.
Nekogami-Crystal Of coarse we all act inappropriate from time to time, but it's when it's communicated that's its inappropriate and a person brushes it off and continues with it, thats when I get pissed off, I was at a college carnival last year and some guy walks up and grabs my hair (I have freakishly long hair for a guy), and I told this guy, "don't put your hands on people you don't know!".... he was smiling at me like he didn't take me seriously, which got me really mad!... I absolutely adore foxes, and I wish to have one as a pet one day. But I’ve realized that I probably wouldn’t be able to take care of them properly, which sucks, but it’s better if I don’t get one at all instead of taking care of one incorrectly. I at least hope to meet one one day ☺️
Angie, and her experience, is absolutely fascinating. Zelda is a lucky fox that she ended up in her care. Too many people want to take beautiful creatures, that should be free, and cage them up to be "pets". Thanks to Angie, maybe more people will do their due diligence and put time into researching these creatures. Enjoy watching them in the wild, or in proper outdoor facilities. But don't take their freedom and joy and coop them up in homes that are not made for them. All that happens is that they are shuffled off once the human finds they have grown out of their adorable infant stages and are quite a bit of work. Thank you again to Angie for her reality check! This was a great episode!
It’s sad to think people use their beautiful fur for clothing. They are so inquisitive and cute.

I hear this exact same thing with EVERY pet owner. "Oh! Its soooooo hard! You've got to give up everything!" I've dealt with a ton of different animals and for the most part, they are chill as hell. A few toys, good food, and a nice environment is all you need to satisfy them. Your undivided attention at times, but they will be fine.
She just wants to have her little exclusive club so she can feel special about having foxes
Zelda must have been the cutest baby critter in the world! She is so pretty now. In order to have a real pet Fox you will need to wait for generations of selection for the most pet like animals.
People should see animals for what they are, in their environment, and at last embrace that we are supposed to share nature with them and not despite them. We must start portraying them as the wild animals they truly are so everyone starts/continues seeing them that way. This video should start with "If you found a tiny baby fox, find a sanctuary for foxes that can take care of them and give them what they need, but if there aren't any around you/available and you have what they need (i.e an enclosure, outdoor space, money, etc) then watch this video for good advice". I think this would be fair for them. Anyway, I love seeing this sweetie pie being under the care of a lovely woman.
A pet fox is not a pet, they are a wild animal that could no longer survive in the wild. And thank you for giving a realistic view of what it is like living with a fox :)
No it's not.
we should expect "Mayhem" 😄😂
ThePAUL799 mayhem fur hire
that would be a wonderful name for a fox like Zelda 😂
Mayhem is also a Norwegian black metal band lol.😂❤
2:03 I JUST REALIZED I HAVE THAT FOX PLUSHIE :D
I can imagine Link has an overwhelming urge to rescue that fox.
Well yeah, Zelda has been turned in to a fox...a hylian fox
My cat acts exactly like this. Just this morning, he sprinted across my bed about four times and chewed my phone cord in half
Oh no! :)
Animal Watch I still love him though!
Tess Lott my 2 cats do the same thing :) they get into everything.
Animal Watch thank you for all these posts.
Well looks like the crazy cat lady graduated to foxes. Lol
Zelda is so gorgeous! Perfect name for such a regal looking fox, just like Princess Zelda!
She just described my cat... bites wires, my folders, she's sneaky and you really can't leave my cat alone for one second or else she'll end up hurting herself xD
I appreciate one has to keep the crazy lady on point but it would have been nice to hear her without constant interruption! Especially as she was asked questions that she wasn't afforded the opportunity to answer.
Agreed, the lady is really annoying.
Beautiful! I love it. She (the owner) is such a nice lady.
I’m a cat-person but that’s the CUTEST of the canines! Adorable !
That's The Most Beautiful Fox I've ever seen !
I would have liked to see the enclosure. :) Such a cute fox. They are adorable.
Foxes are still very much in the intermediate stage of domestication. They are not pets nor do they share the mentality of fully domesticated pets. It will be some time before we witness the first fully domesticated fox fit to be a pet.
Selfish part of me really wants to see that happen in the next 20-30 years, but only if its a net benefit to the lives of those foxes. Then again, who are we to meddle? I love playing with my dog in the way dogs play, biting wresting etc, and I wonder if I could handle a fox with the time and money
I volunteer for the front lines, sir!
Already have :)
DRad DaDanDawg “who are we to meddle?!” LOVE IT! 🦊

*Quite a foxy lady there...and the canine is cute, too. ;-D*
