We went to the fox village in Zao, Miyagi Prefecture! There are more than100 foxes running free in the open space🦊. You can meet six types of foxes, including orange ones, black ones, and white ones. It was my first time seeing foxes, and they were not only cute, but also wild, so beautiful and charming!
The fox village is very far from the station. The most economical way to get there is by public bus, but it runs irregularly. Please check the website in advance. If there is no bus, you will have to take a taxi. Don't worry, the fox village staff will call a taxi for you on your way home.
The fox village was such a fun place! I think this will be one of the good ideas when traveling to Northeast Japan.
🚃JAPAN RAIL PASS is the economical and convenient means of traveling throughout Japan by rail. This is a great deal, so definitely check it out if you're likely to take the Shinkansen in Japan.

    • @@Kistune_Fox2012 Foxes are not pets, they are not domesticated or tame. They poop and pee everywhere because you can't train them to go outside to poop. Also, they are nocturnal, so they are awake during night and sleep during day. Just because thet are cute, does not mean you can use one because you want one. The reason you can't adopt one, is because they are simply not for humans as pets.

    • Foxes are territorial animals and will poop and pee on anything they claim. They will even do it on their own food. It could have been a female that was marked so other males smell the scent possibly.

  • One thing, if you don't go there by shinkansen like from sendai by local train you can use a bus instead of an expensive taxi ;) just be careful to check the bus times as it doesn't run that often and not every day.

    • Yes, that's very bad for their paws and can cause major damage, even loss of limb if it gets bad :( those cages seemed to be very bad otherwise as well, nothing for them to do and too many foxes crammed in one small cage.
