Man this has to be one of the best car vlogs. Stripped down an entire RB in a 20 minute video and made it look seamless, no overwhelming information that non car guys wont understand. Really hit the nail on the head with this one mate, really looking forward to more of these :)
Agreed quality vlogs, we need more projects I can’t wait
Who watches engine strips when you're not a car guy

@@Roo0ooD Me too! This legend makes stuff interesting to watch
Benny I gotta say I am a huge car guy and watching you go from rust content to car content is awesome. Keep it up bro!
Y35w🎉ree
I used to drift an RB25 swapped s14 and got the exact oiling issue you are speaking off, at least you caught yours during tuning we blew the bottom end out on track. Either way keep smashing it mate, by the end of it the car will be a legend.
yep oil starved, there is a channel dedicated to stripped engines exactly like u did -- "idocars" where u can get an education on the effects of oil starvation. The engine had had a hard life, it didnt look well cared for. no signs of detonation in the chambers, the headgasket looked bad, to crack like that i rekon it overheated at some stage
I know nothing about cars but this was a compelling watch.
Unfortunately this is just the risk you take buying second hand engines. Didnt swing in your favour this time but let it be a learning experience for yourself and your viewers. Very well put together video mate. As a rust and car enthusiast i am really enjoying this change. Keep it up 👍
Such an underrated KZheadr

dont touch the oil restrictors just get one of the rear head drains that goes into the welsh plug on the back of the head and shell be tip top after that
I'm more of a muscle head myself, but and engine is an engine. Sick vid Surge. Remember these 2 things when it comes to engines. 1 - Second hand is only as good as the day before it fucks up. 2 - If it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing !
Hey man, my guess is she's had a failure previously from heat, bearings were either not checked or re used. Good luck, love the car content.
To fix the rbs oiling problems you can go a few ways depending on budget and end goals you can put oil restrictors in the block to stop the oil from filling up the cylinder head another way to tackle that issue is to add a rear head drain which uses one of the welsh plugs and helps that problem another thing that helps a lot is a sump with extra oil capacity Dry sumping the engine will fix all the oil problems with the rb but it is a costly endeavour
As a previous owner of an R34 GTT, I’m loving this skyline content. But you have done really well mate with being able to go into detail about your process but also at the time keeping it quick and fresh. Keep it up legend 🤙🏻
RB oil issue was exactly my gut feeling when I saw the previous video. Not sure if I should be happy that I was right, or sad for your loss. Either way looking forward to the future updates.
love the fucking ending! i think i haven't been that excited by a cliffhanger before
Barra next? But yeah, a second hand engine refreshed/rebuilt by a reputable shop is the other option...
Please keep them coming, I thoroughly enjoy the narration, the vibes, the visuals, etc.. it's been a while since I have enjoyed vlog style videos !
Loving this content, great mix of elements. Will be watching👍
I absolutely love the rust soundtrack in the background also the code lock sound at 8.14

Good luck with it man. I had to go through the same shit with my Skyline.
We need more frequent uploads mate, good shit
I'm not a car guy and know very little about cars but for some reason I enjoy these videos. I watched another channel rebuild an old pickup truck from scratch and that was fun to watch too.
loving this new channel mate!

keen for the next vid!
Nice vid man, you got yourself a new sub
Never clicked on a video faster than this one. Hate to say it, better than a rust video.
Amazing content mate you deserve more subs bro
“I got something else up my sleeve” perhaps the slickest thing I’ve heard on KZhead
great vid mate
Lets go. Cant wait for the 26 to go in. Best engine. Dont leave any stone unturned for this one
Big up the RB 26, keep it coming Big Boy
Honestly I know your a gamer and all. But no word of a lie best car/ vlog channel I have ever watched!
Love the style of video. Very interesting to watch. I see you being very successful. The added sounds, and explanations. I did hope to see a glance of the pistons, but after watching more, it didn't really matter. As a mechanic, there wasn't anything triggering, except for the mess haha.
Sadly he doesn't know what he's doing so will teach people the wrong thing.
Amazing content Surge, my first car was a 1990 gts-t type m skyline I bought in 98 so I’ll always have a soft spot for these cars, currently in a 20 quantum grey A4 Audi but I still see myself back in an old school skyline one of these days, and although you’ve had problems with the 25 I couldn’t help but laugh at the 26 cover plate at the end. Can’t wait to see what you do mate.
This is some gourmet content I'm loving it and I'm not that big on rbs, could tell pretty much straight away the state of that cylinder head was a red flag and it's actually amazing it survived the 280kw tune the first time. Big dog forged bottom end and you'll be hissing for years to come.
that hotline miami soundtrack at 2 mins got me vibing hard
Noicee man love seeing the dedication to it
I love you man honestly
Half way into the video I'm thinking you should get an RB26.Glad you got one.Awesome channel.
I just found this. My 3rd video of yours Feb 23. I was hoping you’d have this I’m late to the party but am glued to this
thse vids are awesome, cant wait for more
loving the hotline miami tracks
I love cars but know nothing about them, this series and your editing has me totally invested. WE MUST REBUILD!!!! #fkyeahhh
Real bummer man. Had a bearing go on my Neo motor and just finished the rebuild. Thats the route Id go rather than using a running second hand motor. But keen to see where you go with this.
Great video Benny. Feel for you ya poor karnt
Love this car channel
Oi Benny boy! I rarely ever comment on KZhead vids so let me start off by saying I adore your content. Either rust or the vlogs, shit is top notch. Keep up the great work and ol girl will be up and runnin soon and I can’t wait to see her in action! Cheers brotha!
it sucks having to start again man, feel for you. thankfully you have some good mates to help you out
100% not the tuners fault, they are constantly checking fuel ratios/ boost oil etc to make sure it’s not going too far on the dyno. I think the engine starting spewing out the oil wouldn’t of helped but it’s probably down to just being sat for soo long before you bought it. I built a car in 2016 and didn’t use it often enough and took it to the dyno last week and it blew the bottom end, even though I did an oil flush/ engine service etc it just does it no good to be unused. I’ll put a video out on that in the next few weeks. Did a dyno day on my Mk1 back in April and went through what needs to be done on a fresh engine build, like wearing in the piston rings on the dyno etc. maybe worth a watch.
I don’t even watch you other channel but these vids go crazy
love the car content!
Yeah, I had a #6 ringland blown in my Rb25det before I got it. I had to take it all apart and let the machine shop check everything. I will say the RB is expensive to rebuild if you are a regular guy like me and have no connections. I am excited to see this build!!
Great Video Surge, I'd say hasn't had regular oil changes with that discolouration. Always sucks finding shiny stuff in your oil but means while it's open put some forged internals and cams Yew 👍 Good work looks like ya got a decent crew too. Always helps to have mates!
Underrated channel
YES SURGE
Great content man, I know nothing about cars yet still want to know more.
legendary massive legend
crank collar mod and cylinder head oil drain kit with a oil sump girdle and your pretty sweet. further than that you could upgrade the oil pump gears an that but thinking about it you probably want to keep more oil in the pan. cylinder number 6 is obviously know for heat soaking as well so thats something probably influencing #6 to go like that. motor was probably flexed on or ran lean for too long an oil drain issue seals the deal completely. heat will make oil coke up everywhere as well so regular oil changes are a must if your going through constant heat cycles an limiter bashing heaps
hey mate awesome video to watch, also I personally suggest adding on 2 extra drainage hoses about dash 10 sized. from the lower of the 2 cam shaft covers/tappit covers, down to the sump. also baffle the sump
i love these vlogs !!!
I just watched a engine get torn down I don’t know why but I kinda liked it 😂👍 keep up the great videos benny boi
You need to continue this build
Rb oiling issues are pretty easily fixed, oil restrictors in the top of the block done by a machine shop or Franklin head drain is the best option for them. Tap the rear welch plug in the head out then tap two M6 holes in the back of the head (use machine shop) then it screws right into the back of the head, and you can run it back to the sump, works on rb26s just needs another fitting, the cheapest way to conquer the issue. Loving the build keep going it’s worth it in the end.
lol that water pump shape!!
Funk yes bro this vid was amazing you went off with that 😂😂 good editing I hope to see more content with this build
Nice environment you got there looks very fun to just chill and hang
