This lecture provides you a systematic overview of how to perform an echo analysis of the left ventricle. You will learn how to quantify left ventricular size, describe its characteristics and how to assess LV function. We include calculations based on M-Mode, 2D- and 3D-echocardiography. Importantly we explain the clinical implications of your findings, what the limitations of the various parameters are and how left ventricular size affects the management of your patients.

The Heart Chamber Quantification MasterClass covers all 4 chambers of the heart. Thomas Binder MD, FESC and his team will show you how to assess: LV size, left and right ventricular function, hypertrophy, and atrial size/pathologies based on current guidelines. All echo modalities (2D echo, 3D echo, M-Mode, Tissue Doppler, and Speckle Tracking) are covered. We provide tips and tricks and explain how to use this information in your daily clinical practice.

  • Thank you. The word you mean in English for the heart's counter movements is "wringing" a rag, not "rinsing." It would also be good to use a highlight function more when you are comparing 6 images over a few minutes.
