Since I've spent so much time with nVidia Surround, 3D Vision and their GeForce drivers lately, this is the last in my series of guides on how to install/configure this software.
Linus.. good to see the 2010 you.. you sure have come a long way with making these videos. Always found you amusing as well as informative. Thanks for the wonderful videos.

@finbenton Unfortunately they don't. iZ3D supports ATI cards, but I've used their stuff before and frankly the performance/compatibility is not acceptable.

hi there , i have a question i have a alien ware optx screen its nvidia 3d vision ready but do you know if it supports the new vision 2 glasses .dell said they do but not sure. any help would be great love the vids you do great info . many thanks ben .
I have two questions the first is you can use 3D TV glasses??? and the second I have a smart tv but don't have 3D I can use this???
How much depth do you usually use while playing? For me it is 8-10 sticks (Ctrl+F3/F4)

I have a Benq W600+ 3D ready projector and windows 7. Can I just buy a pair of batteery powered glasses and have 3D now? I mean there are 3D kits and also individual glasses. Do I need a 3D kit from Nvidia if I'm using Nvidia 3D or can I just get any pair of glasses? Also, Are there different types of glasses (blu/green+red aside) or are all those black "sunglass-like" ones all compatible with the same software?

After doing the setup it wont let me change the depth on the control panel like yours does, and how can you then run pc games in 3d?

Technically you can use Red-Cyan anaglyphic glasses as well, you have to select "Discover" glasses in the wizard.

I Got a Question for you Linus. I Got An MSI 660TI grapich card. Afther downloading the driver i want to install it, but it says: NVIDIA cannot continue. The graphical program can't find compatible hardware. I dont know what to do (the dvd that in the box does the same!) i hope you can help me out.
@bas5050 no Problem im glad to hear that it works for you..i was just curious , if it works with the10% from your left eye,because personally i dont have any experience how 10% looks like...But its always good to test something first before buying it.

I have just purchased a 3d monitor (asus VG278) which comes with Nvidia 3D vision 2 - to use with my M14x R2, I have not been able to set up 3d and i need help. any idea if its possible? The stereoscopic 3d isnt available for me even after installing the latest nvidia driver for my 650m card
Need help here while in setup. i can still see both image on the "Test your hardware Setup" when i close my right eye i can still see the blue Triangle but Blurry, but still i can see it same when i close my left eye, can still see the green hexagon but blurry. need help pls.

My 9 year old Dell XPS 17 supports Nvidia 3D vision 😉, it's still pretty cool, the Nvidia GeForce GT 555M isn't too great anymore though.
Ok so i went ahead and got a 3d kit, but when i set it up and get to the last stage i do not get the the box inside the last image, why can we not see that? if i click the box with the box inside it disables the 3d and says to consult Eye Specialist lol
can i use any other 3d glasses like polarized 3d glass or anagylphic 3d glasses with the same procedure given?
Polarized glasses won't work with this setup. You need shutter glasses.
Master Linus, would be great to take 20 seconds to type out your knowledge to my question in your busy time... I'd love to play my games over my two monitors, yet i only have 1 gtx480 using the both dvi ports... Is it possible to make a 3360x1050(1680x1050(x2)) with just one GPU?
Mine does. With the red and blue ones my PC can be configured. The glasses are the "Discovery 3D Nvidia Glasses"

Hey Linus, when i click to turn on my glasses they dont turn black. But i saw the black thing. i was just wearing the glasses when my left eye just kept flashing. and i saw it turning black then my Glasses turned off. Help?
I won't be able to use the nvidia glasses if I got a Samsung SyncMaster S24B370 and the computer got a Nvidia geforce card with all the drivers so I need to have a 3d monitor right?

Is there any way to setup a 3D PC using a passive screen and glasses without using nvidia 3D vision.I ask this because I have a LG 32" LED TV (32LM3400) and can watch tv programmes without the nvidia kit so why do need it for my PC?

Nvidia box is converting evrything in 3D or just send signal to the glasses. Did i need special screen fo that? Did evrything shows in 3D? Sorry for bad English

Hey I just got this stuff today, but when I go to the setup it says monitor not detected. I am using a 3d ready viewsonic V3D231 Series. Even says on the box it's ready for stereoscopic 3d. Please help.

Hey man I know a few others have had this problem and I have tried everything you have suggested to them to fix it but I still seem to get the "Error in CPLAPI, No game profiles found." I ran the registry cleaner and fixed all of that. I made sure Everything was set properly too... refresh rate set to 120hz, proper color bit (True color 32-bit). Proper monitor is selected (BenQXL2420TX) but I still get that stupid error. Any more suggestions on how to fix this?

Please help, i have 3 asus vg236 3d moniters but the nvidia 3d wizard does not detect them as 3d, ive made sure they r running at 120hz, ive downloaded latest drivers, and the ir emitor is green and my glasses r charged, i dont know wat to do next, im using 2x evga 580gtx superclocked graphic cards.

@xXBrandozXx I was gonna get myself this monitor but then I turned away because apperantly there is a problem with the model. When you boost it up to 120hz it creates and annoying buzzing sound from the back on the monitor. Loads of people have complained about the monitor. I basically don't see the point of a 3D PC monitor myself. May be for a TV when they make good use of it but just think most of your time you won't be using the 3D on it. What you gonna do, write mails in 3D LOL?
@k00bZMc i can help you, but you probberly already know since you asked a month ago, but you have to enable it inside starcraft 2s menu, there is a menu for the 3D.

@LLOYD19851012 it wouldnt let me complete wizard setup, i clicked on turn on steroscopic then it went straight onto nvidia 3d demo, not sure if its workin b cos it doesnt seem that good, this happened after i switched off bezel management

I just cut out a glasses frame using hard paper, colored 2 transparent plastic sheets with red and blue marker, duct taped them to the frame and it works.

"NVidia 3D Vision 2 Wireless glasses kit" gives you one pair of glasses plus the IR transmitter. You need the R tranmitter in the kit to use the glasses. You can find these on Amazon, ebay, hardware shops etc
