The loud music drowning out the voices and starting and stopping at random is a really nice touch to this video.
I emailed the manufacturer 2 years ago and told them to sell in the 🇺🇸. They will make a KILLING here because there is little offered between pop ups and full size RV's. I do not want to HAVE to. Buy a $50K truck to pull a $18K camper for 3 months and then get stuck driving an expensive vehicle the rest of the year. Secondly, I want to park my camper in my garage. This fits both of these requirements. I am so glad the manufacturer has decided to come to North America.
Made in South Africa baby! It's built tough for our African conditions, it will do just fine in the US. I use this very same model on all our camping trips, and it amazes me how great it is to tow off road.
I want this guy to succeed, to do so he needs various "trim" levels. Great idea. The price-point is well outside of the majority of people in the market for camping, even for the cheapest model at 20k. Around 400% less is about right at 5k. This could be trimmed down to remove the niceties and offer the base construction alone, so the user can provide the equipment to be housed within the skeleton.
this stuff just makes me want to live 50 miles from civilization 49 weeks a year. only return when civilization encroached upon me ie (4th july, memorial day)or when I run out of fruity pebbles cereal.
LittleLake Kid hear that
That is not a mentally healthy way to think. Not the part about hating civilization, I get that, but about choosing fruity pebbles over captain crunch.
LittleLake Kid 50 miles is not far enough!
I like how compact and secure it looks when it's road ready. Never would've thought it had AC, TV, Kitchen, Shower, Sleeping space for 4+ etc etc etc. If I win the lottery I'll take one.
If you look at the longevity of this trailer, it will end up costing less than a traditional trailer that you see at every dealership in North America. I bought a $34k trailer by Keystone, and it started to fall apart on day one and that wasn't even off-road capable! The value is in the places that you can take this thing and the fact that this is truly a camper you'll have for a very long time.
i had a coleman ...what piece of crap that was
So true. Considering that this is built like a tank, it'll probably save me money in the long run. I've seen Australian websites selling used versions that owners claim are 4-5 years old and "spent most of their time in the desert." They looked barely used. That's tough!
I definitely agree with your statement.
@@themadtoker3067 had my airstream Bambi for 13 years . Spend about 40 days per year avg in it and only had minor issues, mostly just typical maintenance.
not trying to be a negative Nancy, but for us hearing deficient folks, could you drop the music it covers the audio where i struggle to pull the voices out. this had been my dream trailer for years. its just awesomeness on wheels. a guy on expeditionportal built a home brew version of this thing in texas. great build thread.
subtitles bud.
Thanks so much for the mention that its Proudly South African built.
I am seeing this video for the first time and I pass this place on a daily, gonna have to stop in and check them out.
Rememberthe first overland trailer from Conestoga, New York. This is a combo of a Chuck wagon and conestoga. The only thing it doesn't brake a wheel on the trail.
Nice military feel to it. Very nice trailers.
The modern pop-up trailer. Very nice.
I always thought pop ups were lame. A bit ignorant by me. But these are awesome. Maybe it's all the gadgets that appeal to me? I like it
Now THAT is what i call a Adventure trailer. WOW. How cool is that?!
Good stuff Michael keep it coming.
Been waiting for the Conquerors to make it to the U.S. Finally! Time to start saving.
Steve Kramer I'm waiting on Patriot...
Bryce Anderson both are great and I would take either.
Same, I just want to support the guy that started Patriot. He seems like such a cool dude
Steve Kramer nn
Patriots are amazing but I'm not sure if they offer a air conditioning option. If they do then a Patriot is a total Beast of an option!
Way to go. Thanks for bringing this in.
Ive been waiting for this . Nice and thanks for being the distributor!
Great stuff, nice to be able to see this up close!!!!!
I saw this trailer last weekend in Vancouver at the Adventure Show. Well engineered.
OMG I'm so pumped for this! i need one of these in my life!
If those lucky numbers ever come up, I'm gettin me one of these!!!
Not a bad looking trailer. I would like to see it next to a CVT, a Patriot Camper, or another of the off-road specific compact trailers!
i live less than an hour away from here!!!! So far, one of my most favorite trailers on the market!
I've been waiting thank you.
Nice that everything opens up within its footprint, and nothing (like a tent) folds out to touch the ground.
This trailer is super rad .. love it !
Hay you could incorporate azdale panels with air alloy has insulation that folded up and swivel locked into place for the center hatch and even for the tent loft to make it a hard top camper instead of just a tent.
OUTSTANDING!!!!!
It looks great, very heavy and very expensive. I looked on their website and it actually cost as much as the house I currently live in.
I love this!!!
WOW love this!-
Am drooling... love it
Awesome trailer
ive been waiting for these to come across the pacific for years now
So overloaded💖
Impressive!! 😳
so cool that these are distributed in ohio! Might have to make a small road trip to see these since they are in my back yard!
Sweet trailer. This is a dream for off roaders.
As a newbie to overlanding I can't afford something like this yet. But if I stick with it I really like the ideas of these trailers. It would let my truck stay as a daily driver until I hitch up for weekend duty. Great video.
Love this trailer.......however........I just can’t see a recreational (few times a summer) person spending $50k for one. Someone said lotto in another post. I now know why.
Numero uno !
I could see the Patriot Camper banner flying in the background. Did you check them out and do an interview as well?
I seen one of these do Gunshot Creek on Cape York very impressive bit of kit. If I didn't already have a T van I would definitely consider getting one.
That thing kicks so much ass. I've been thinking more and more about the practicality of a trailer as I've been going camping with my Tepui RTT mounted to a bed rack system on my Tacoma. I have to fold up the tent if I want to take the truck anywhere, but geez... over $20k for the low end model? And nearly $40k for this one?! That thing costs more than my '14 Tacoma did out the door. Cripes... I'll get back to you when I'm not working for an EMT's salary.
Dude I love this one
That is so cool that trailer...:o
They're cool but for the price you can get a much nicer used pull behind RV that is more roomy.
That concept/design have been around for a long time in Australia!!
Nice.
Why dub a soundtrack over the dialogue ?
Jeffrey Perez to make you ask why.
Hearing the interviewee with no mic was annoying enough, but to layer music over it too was just thoughtless.
Ditto on the music
I want one!!
def badass
this was the trailer that I saw you at overland expo with
This was filmed at Overland Expo. The trailer was tucked away in a concrete parking spot.
Yes, they made it to the US!
Yay!
TheUnorthodoxx made in South Africa
Mike Nortje I said they made it to the US, as in being imported there. I know they are manufacturer in Australia, not South Africa.
Built in Heidelberg South Africa. Exported to Australia where they are somewhat modified for local conditions (or so they say) at Brisbane Queensland. Interestingly, the models are named differently in Aus and those are also adopted by the North American importer. For international marketing reasons the manufacturer prefers not to advertise the fact that they are SA built.
they are most definitely made in south africa , if you come here for business or holiday you can request a factory tour.
Absolutely love the ruggedness of the UEVs. Thought they were amazing until I saw one....soon realised everyone would be in each other’s space 100% of the time. Very small inside. Would hate to spend a week in the rain in one.
Get a hotel.
@@kayakuprising5914 I have a Cub Spacevan. It's a large practical space.
my right ear really enjoyed this video
good review James Kansas City Missouri
Wow! That's an amazing business success story.
excelente publicacion.
Need to incorporate a cartridge toilet pop up wet bath for the outside. Have a hatch open up with a slide out cartridge toilet with a drain in the bottom for shower water that collected in a Grey tank or had a drain hose to run off into a hole or sewer system. Hay just design a shelf you attach to one side of the camper that becomes the restroom a tent wet bath.
très bien comme réalisation
very nice i like camping.
You should put twin shock's in like we do here in Australia..they handle any conditions.
Prices are pretty reasonable too. I mean, its still more than I can spend and more than 2x what both my trucks are worth...but it seems like a reasonable price all things considered.
The Swiss Army Knife of Campers.
Nice
Cool
All for the low low price of 40k lol, but seriously it's worth it to people who go hard core camping or want a serious bug out vehicle.
Ouch, that's way too much imho.
I think more like 47k. It’s too expensive. Brilliant vehicle, but it’s just too high a price point!!!
maybe not as much stuff but i would go "hiker trailers" overlanding trailers but more affordable for people that arent made of money.
Insane to think they want more for the trailer then the vehicle to tow it. I would be interested to see the sales numbers on these. I feel like they needs to redo some engineering to get the price down, by half.
@@surveysays8335 actually you'll be hard pressed to find any of road worthy vehicle that cold tow this for less money than it costs (starts @ $47800!)
Amazing, wish I could afford one though.
That's the one I like . seen other close to it this is the top
I know it's been a while. Anyway you could catch up with the hemi commander guy? I know the rig isn't as popular but his setup was nice. I'm interested in his new hemi swap.
If possible, I'd love to see some F-150 (and pickups in general) videos. Keep up the great work! (as a side note, I don't know if this is specific to me or to everyone, but it seemed as if the audio track for the voices is panned to the right and the background music is panned to left. Which makes listening on headphones really weird. But I just made my computer output audio as mono rather than stereo. Just something to look into.)
Awesome rig. Yeah it’s spendy but long term it’s gonna outlast any conventional travel trailer and do way more.
would like to see the inside !!!
Love your trailer, You’ve borrowed a lot from Aussie off road trailers... For the ultimate off road trailer check out the EXP-6 BRUDER Keep up the good work! Ps I can’t afford a BRUDER but yours is a close second mate Good on ya
Overkill? Have you seen our Roads? LOL!!! Proudly South African Product!!!
Nice, weather better be nice for set up,because it looks like it takes time. Please excellent weather need only apply.
Gregory Adkins you can set up in any weather in about 15 minutes
Exactly I dumped the info due to the noisy music. The guy knows his stuff, would have been great to hear HIM.
Learn to read then you can use subtitles
LOVE this style/model.....sign me up. (after Lotto)
great size for warm weather conditions and little rain .... what about for areas more north that actually have less sun and more rain and low temperatures ?
This trailer is great, but....... even as it inspired me, it has some things I dont want to have on my trailer. First of all, to go to sleep there, you have to set up two tents, even as they are part of the trailer, you cant sleep withut the fuzz of setting things up. I love the kitchen area and the pantry. Wish I could make such an area myself. The chassis and suspencion are superb. The only thing that really isnt my thing is the need to set up it like a rooftent or such. My trailer will be coming at a campsite, putting it on the right spot and get in and go to sleep. No need to do a thing before you go to sleep. Which means that a one nighter/just sleeping on the side of the road will not start and end with the building up and down of a sleeping area.
ever since being made aware of EV's, I've been asking when they were coming to US. I live in Pacific NW, but haven't noticed any of the vehicles being shown at any of the sportsmen's shows ...??? Any opportunities coming???
PROLLY KOOL AF , 50 K ??? KEEP IT !!!!
The cost range from $30,000USD and up. I sure hope the owner will be using it full time..
I'm sold! Looking into a purchase! This thing with looks great behind my F150 Raptor
Please contact us and we will be happy to help you out.
It would fit with a Pinzgauer towing it.
I love watching these videos even though it's no where near affordable for me #WindowShopping lol
Killer!
I love these. If I am not mistaken, aren't you here in Ohio (or at least a dealer)? May have to take a trip to check them out. Love the options and it seems you thought of about everything!
Yes we are in Ohio. Please come on by and check the trailer out.
I wish I had the money and acumen needed to be the US distributor for these. When I saw the Australian videos on here a few years ago, I thought "these are gonna get really popular here." Like he said, overland trailers are in their infancy in the US. IMO they should drop the elephant and continental Africa logo for the NA version and replace it with animals you'd see here, like a bear or mountain lion.
Amazing! Just curious, what is the van/vehicle set-up pulling this rig?
The Van is from the adjacent booth
So... wow... I might have to replace the turtleback. Shhhhh, don't tell them.
Budget Overlanding Adventure Camping Ahhaha. Thanks!
This trailer is has something very military about it. The OD green, sand tan, the shape and general design is very military.
They started out by making trailers for the military. Australians and Sth Africans are very into off-road off-road camping
Those things are pretty damn cool... man, not cheap tho. I'm certain the quality and componentry justifies the price, but still. I want one :)
Very nice but prices a bit daunting. Comparing the prices in the U.S. and Africa, tooling up a factory in the U.S. to level the numbers may be a good idea.
If this takes off, and I think it will, I would not be surprised if they start building them here under license.
It would've be cool to see the inside of the trailer on the tour. Kinda the main part.
That's fuckin siiiiiiiick!
u never showed what the inside looked like
leroyreed27 I agree, would have loved to see the inside instead of looking at some dude. his voice could have played over while you showed more
I agree. Was disappointed
Forget the video, we're just here for the Rave music track, totally missing the point, the Aussies give a better presentation by far
The price is as killer as the rig. Wish this guy the best though would love to find a used one down the road for 2/3 price.
