Nestled in the heart of the Great Lakes region, the Midwest state of Michigan lies on the border with Canada. Home to more than 12,000 lakes and more beaches than the country’s entire Atlantic coastline, it’s made up of two large peninsulas and several scenic and secluded islands. While the state is defined by its wealth of waterways, much of it is coated in endless forests and wilderness. As such, there are loads of great outdoor activities to be enjoyed, with hiking, camping and sailing all popular. Here’s a look at the best places to visit in Michigan.
Lansing Michigan - The state capital - wonderful, town, so many activities and beautiful scenery.
Michigan....always fresh...sometimes frozen.
Being a native of Michigan (born & raised in Holland and reside near Grand Rapids), this is one of the best & accurate videos I have ever watched. Although, I have to say that if it wasn’t for the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor wouldn’t even be on the map.
Muskegon, Michigan is also a very nice place. One of the most beautiful beaches there, but is rarely talked about!!❤
Just moved here about a year ago. I and others talk quite a bit about it compared to where I come from. I love it , it truly is amazing.
I live in Muskegon. I love it.
Beaches ⛱️ 🤣😁
Never been to the beach in Muskegon. We generally go to Ludington. Is Muskegon better than Ludington?
@@UMfan21 yes!! It’s much bigger and lots of parking!! I like Ludington beach and heard they are improving parking, so that’s great.
Michigan is sooooooooo underrated, like damn it’s beautiful there. No crazy weather, no earthquakes, no dangerous animals. To good
We have a very dangerous water snake but that’s about it
@@davidpage3171 never saw one in all my life...... I have a cabin in the middle of the woods near Traverse City and have been all over the woods barefoot and in shorts.... No fear of snakes in Michigan what-so-ever. I did get a tick on me for the first time in 50+ years last June when I was up there tho.... Those things concern me! (Lyme Disease)
Don’t tell everyone.
Also bears, wolves, and the occasional mountain lion.
Sometimes an earthquake, blizzard or tornado
Been a proud Michigander my whole life & I’m glad to be in Holland, because everywhere fun is so close to my home!
😂 yeah Gary and Chi towns real close 🌉 🇺🇸🇨🇦 Dearborn best city in michigan !!!!
Yeah!!! I live in the Holland area too!!! 😊😊
Frankenmuth is a good place on the way up north. and also Dearborn is a great place particuliarly for greenfield village/Henry ford museum
Choose Zehnders over Bavarian Inn every time!
@@HTS_Editor_Jack zhenders and Bavarian Inn are literally the exact same restuarant with the exact same food. they are both owned by the same people.
@@Johnadams20760 Different sides of the family. (I would know as I am distantly related)
If truth be told, Michigan is a beautiful state. The upper peninsula is stunning forests and lower Michigan has great large and small cities.
But I'd stay out of Detroit!! 😂
I haven't been back in 20 years. Still miss it. Beautiful place!
What about Copper Harbor? It is a a beautiful place. Keewaunee Mountain Lodge and cabins. It was built by the WPA during depression, and is a beautiful place to stay and visit town of Copper Harbor.
i'll be there in May.
Harbor Springs, MI
Really beautiful, amazing, overwhelming, mind blowing n refreshing places. Lovely!! 🙂😊🥰.
Let’s not forget the wedding venues! Serenity Barn LLC❤️ see the northern lights on your wedding night

To everyone who is reading this, you’re beautiful and an amazing person. Please exercise frequently and eat more fruits/veggies. I wish you all good health, great success, and everlasting happiness!!!

How about live your own life, pal.
Thanks -- same to you!🙂👍
Mcdonalds: no.
Fruits are pure sugar . Not good for you . Veggies aren’t good for you either, they cause a ton of inflammation . Not all are bad but most. Meat and dairy is the most healthy and cures many diseases just switching to carnivore.
MI,no mud slides, and awful weather. Winter,it's a season, and it does pass. 😊
Hope you post videos like this for all of the US states!
This is wonderful place I have never seen
I love Michigan thank you for the vedio

Good video
Amazing 🤩
You can’t go wrong with taking a drive along Lake Huron on MI-25 on the Michigan Thumb. Port Sanilac, Lexington, Caseville are just three of the many. On the whole Michigan is pure magic. From Nevada with much love.
agreed did that trip with my mother. We started at a cottage we spent summers at and drove along Lake Michigan past Petosky, Traverse city. We crossed the Mighty Mac, went to the Soo, Tahqumenon Falls, Paradise, and the Shipping Museum. Can't remember were we stayed the night but we went to Mackinac Island for a day, and then drove down to Alpena. spent the night there with friends, and then we headed down Lake Huron shore to Standish then across and down to Mt Pleasant for the night with another friend, then back home. I think it was 4 days, I was 12 and am approaching 60, so it's been a long time but it was an awesome trip
I hope i can live in Michigan too ..
Life is like a mirror. Smile at it, it smiles back to you.
Such a great collection of places! Most people I meet traveling here to Michigan have a run-down image of our state in their minds.
Good don’t want many tourists to trash this beautiful state

bruh it looks so beautiful
Beautiful 😍
Wow it so nice to be there very beautiful place
Such a beautiful content here! Keep it up my friend! You're allowed to scream, you're allowed to cry, but don't give up! Keep going! You are great with what are you doing! It deserves all success around and I don't forget to give my full support for you!❤️🔔🎁
Beautiful place
I love your videos bro I'm a huge fan 🔥👑👑 please stay connected with us dear🙏
Loved the video. Mackinac Island, Saugatuck, Grand Rapids, Holland, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Traverse City, Detroit and Ann Arbor are all amazing places. Did you say that Michigan has more beachfront than Calfornia or the entire East? I will need to double check that. I would add Dearborn because it has two of the great museum attractions in the world: The Henry Ford (you can sit in the Rosa Parks bus and see the entire history of priceless cars displayed in chronological order) and Greenfield Village (has Edison's laboratory and is the place where you can ride a Model T).
I think Alaska has the most coastline, followed by Florida and California.
@@dollysbob No way Florida has more than Michigan. I doubt Cali too.
Beautiful place! Thanks for sharing ❤
Very Nice Video 😍📸
Fascinating 😍
wow... michigan such a great place. Btw, I will make content like this about my country, Indonesia
Interlochen Center for the Arts, not far from Traverse City, is worth a mention. May 14, 2023
Add Frankenmuth Christmas City; Grand Haven; plus: i like Gaylord/Grayling area for the elk!; Deerborn
Isle Royal National Park
Hmm. That Detroit looks like a nice friendly town. Maybe I’ll take my next vacation there.
Your content is awesome! 😮
Great job 🙂
I've enjoyed watching!
Thank you. Your video is interesting and I'm definitely planning for SAUGATUCK
Lived in MI all my life. Pros, and cons. Everywhere.
Drummond Island
I’m from Traverse City. It’s so beautiful. There’s no where else I’d rather live I love it here!
Beautiful footage and a very enjoyable video!
Very cool. Thanks for showing us these places!
Wish you would have put Grand Haven on here, Coast Guard City!! a must see, best waterfront of all!!.
Supper place. Thanks for giving.
I am excited to plan my road trip to Michigan and Mackinac Island in 2024
Lexington Michigan is the best place to visit!!
I agree. So many great places on the Lake Huron side!
Indian River, Mullet and Burt Lakes are the true GREAT LAKES.
Michigander and outdoor enthusiast here. This is a pretty good list but Highly recommend the Porcupine Mountains and Lake of The Clouds in particular if you plan on making a trip to the UP
Love it♥️♥️
You forgot the beautiful Zug Island, a great tourist stop for anyone, areal hidden gem!
🤪LOL - you nailed it! Flint would give Zug a run for its money.
@@jimknarr Can't wait to cross the new bridge so I can see beautiful Delray from the air. Flint also has many sites interest to visit.
@@richardchampion4826People come from all over the world to bathe and drink Flint's water. It tastes so good and it has so many healing properties. They should bottle it up and sell it!
Nice place
Tempat tempat yang mengagumkan, salam dari Sumba Wanokaka 🇮🇩🇮🇩

Wow nice
First view
The “Grant” hotel is sure awesome
You sound fun.
Check out the beach on US-2 five miles west of Saint Ignace.
Alpena is for people who want beaches aren't crowded. Dark sky parks for star watching, and lots of outdoor fun.
My home
Good amazing mise
Good.
Ypsilanti, o how I do miss home!!!!
Omfg why ? 😂
Holland Michigan 🥰
We're going to Grand Rapids, Grand Haven and Saugatuck this summer. Lots of dog-friendly places to visit, and hopefully move to the GR area one day.
GR is an awesome lil city.
Very nice, you too ☺️
Really disappointing....several cities and no porcupine mountains or the only National Park in Michigan which is the isle royale? Incredible.
I’m glad. We Yoopers like our still beautiful unspoiled land.
Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is a national park.
@@mcgregor6274 it's not. It is National Lakeshore. It's a difference.
@@stanypopolsku perhaps you should take a look at The National Park Service’s website. It says there are 5 national parks in Michigan but you don’t have to take their word for it.
Shhh! Let them think they did their homework.
Just drive an hour outside of the city, in any direction and its great
🙏👌
Nice
like it!professionla sharing-
The best time to see picture rocks is in the afternoon when the sun is at your back, in the morning it’s in your eyes.
So many waterfalls. We like Au Train falls the best. Ann Arbor is nice trust me I know but not beautiful and charming like Traverse City, Curtis, and Alpena. Saugatuck is good fishing. Going up to pictured rocks I never seem to have enough time. Lots of hiking to see things. Chapel Rock is like a half day hike there and back. Bring food, water, and toilet paper. If you get up by Sleeping Bear South of Empire there is a ghost town Aral with excellent beech and old growth forest. Drummond Island is awesome. A true jewel and a 4x4ing must. Fossil ledges if your a fossil hunter is awesome. Number 1 should be Isle Royal Island. Mackinaw Island is best experience in the winter going across the ice on snowmobiles. A lot of the construction on the island is did in the winter.
Wow! 👏👏👏👏👏❤️🇺🇸❤️
Michigan is truely beautiful. Not sure how Detroit made top 10 list. I can put another 100 destinations ahead of Detroit.
May Allah make your life beautiful and increase your good life brother.
Well… that’s a good round one but most Michiganders know there’s so much more
surprised that Grand Haven didn´t make the cut
South Haven🥰
As someone who grew up in Marquette, one you absolutely missed.,Presque Isle(where you can hand feed wild deer),Black rocks, forestville The Amazing lighthouses,so much more. Don’t get me wrong,I liked the videos intended message…it just missed the mark. A bit more info digging, some local Yoopers to talk to for a minute and your video would have been that much better. Pictured rocks is not a city,it’s by Munising. Ann Arbor? How about Petoskey, near Traverse. Like I said love the video on Michigan, it’s just off the Mark.
Used to go down to NMU to see what girls looked like mid winter. Never disappointed.
You heard right people, Detroit! Deal with it!
😍😍😯
😊😊😊😊😊
Thought for sure Flint would be number 1!
🎉
Unfortunately unless you love cold Winter events, there's only about 3-4 months of enjoyable weather for most people. Shoveling snow is great conditioning if you pace yourself 🤣😂
Cold is better then hurricane's, alligators, poisinous or nasty snakes or salt water any day!
@Howard Hoefs I can see you got the all the schedules for a sweet stay at mexico. Hello Howard ! How are you ? I will like to know more about your experiences there ??
I would flip it the other way. There are about 9-10 months of enjoyable weather and 2-3 months of grey and cold. SE Michigan in particular is a lot milder than most of Ohio as well as nearby Buffalo, Toronto or Chicago. It is Jan 28th and I only had to remove snow this year ONCE.
@@farriskhan2352 it looks like today's high is 30 F / -1.1 C and the low is 27 F / -2.7 C. Sunday: 31 F / -0.5 C and 17 F / -8.3 C. Now let's look at Monday: High is 22 F / -5.5 C and the Low is -1 F / -18.3 C. Does that "flip" to enjoyable for you? Sounds bitter cold 🥶 ti me. 🤣
@@Stagger-One OK... it is cold this week. Does not change the fact that I only had to remove snow once this year.
Harbor Shores(Benton Harbor/St Joseph) Whirlpool Corp is here they built a million dollar golf course for the PGA (rich golfers) they didn't mention Diamond lake in Cassopolis either
