He’s not “faking” a boxing career- he’s boxing, he has some skills, the guys he fights aren’t badass boxers but they’re not all complete bums either….all pro boxers stack their record w/ mismatches @ the beginning- standard, not outta the ordinary- & it isn’t that he is FAKING boxing- it’s simply much easier than MMA, esp pro MMA @ todays level, you need to be well versed in multiple disciplines & an expert in @ least a couple, & then there’s the toughness aspect…mma vs boxing tough is like hockey vs football tough….

Those gloves forced your hands closed and in the UFC grappling is big so they need to be able to open their hands to wrestle and clinch.
You can still open your hands they're just not forced open like with the UFC gloves. I heard Trevor's gloves actually make grappling easier because they don't wear your grip out from having to close your hand so hard hard like you do with the ufc gloves.
They make it natural to have your fingers slightly curled not straight out savage poking. But Jones said to Ufc don’t do it.

It is impossible to grapple without independent finger movement, I have tried and tried to grapple with a pair of thoes new style gloves they totally suck for grappling, they are awesome for karate, or any other full contact like kickboxing

Id rather go back in time when I was a teenager at 16 years of age and watch those Mike Tyson fights. Those were the most epic years of boxing for me personally. This was boxing at its height in my experience in the heavy weight division. All my high school friends, neighbors, people I worked with on my job...my bother ..hell all most everybody was watching Mike Tyson's fights!

I think it doesn't take a lot of brain cells to realise even if they did pay huge money to switch the gloves, there would still be eye pokes. Less than now? Who knows, but there would still be eye pokes and some of them would still be just as serious. Trevor W, or anyone else, can not claim with 100% certainty that "these gloves" prevent eye pokes. If that were the case, should there be even one case of an eye poke with permanent damage, the UFC could then sue TW over these claims.

@@jacks1bonnielass if they make your hands more closed then it has to make grappling more difficult. If they don’t make your hands a lot more closed then eye pokes will still happen. This is the easiest common sense problem I could ever solve. Justin likes them. But he has to. Other people say they’re great but we don’t know if they will stop eye pokes. You can solve eye pokes while making grappling just as easy. It isn’t possible. Just think about it instead of listening to other people.
