900nm is fantastic. Maybe i will go the tuned 4j for my GQ. Been watching DCA go through the development of the 4j kit for a few years keen as mustard. Seeing how the current generation of the kit worked out for you, im gonna have to start saving the pennies.

The 4JJ1/2/3 engine is so incredible. A lazy light truck engine where you only need to spend half the money to get better results than every other highly strung competitor’s motor. No wonder they are used in conversions like this to replace Nissan’s “time bomb” 3.0TD version. This shop needs to step up and buy a hub dyno though, then you’ll get accurate results. But your final tune is so impressive. It’s not as good as what Stay Tuned safely achieve, but it’s still very impressive!
300hp on 285s easy. Man great build, wouldny mind seeing a cost breakdown. I was looking to engine convert my old patrol. But the 20k+ outlay for a 17yr + 4x4. Ended up just upgrading to a newer dual cab.
Definitely 300hp on 31s! Responded very well to the setup!
Yeh..BUT...the dual cab you buy is NEVER going to go anywhere near this 4x4 or any solid axle 4x4 offroad, and furthermore...wait see what you get for the dual cab in 3-5years when everyone has bought up all the solid axle 4x4s and there's none left! 👍
@@theozBandit thats true no way id send my dual cab where my patrol went. Then again i was replaing bushes always repairing the thing 🤣. Also but towing camper 23-25L per 100 vs 12-15 sitting in 120km hr. Daily under 9L per 100 vs patrol 17+L per 100. Comparing appled with oranges 🤣🤣.

I’ve only drivin tb45 but personally I like diesel if it’s gonna be a tourer! The tb love a drink and also more for rego! They are really good motors but!
TB48 is the best engine in a GU.
4jk1 is also impressive. 4jj1 is just with longer stroke. Other than that same design and engine basically

Yes, also super reliable 4jk1, few things different than 4jj1 and i have seen 500-900 horsepower 4jk1 in youtube btw.

Enjoyed the build man and don't want to seem like an ass but so much time and money gone into it when a turbo and injectors thrown at the zd would have done more than that. Either way the 4j is a great platform, just no point wasting the time taking the superior zd out for it 😊
