2019 Porsche 991.2 GT3 R Sound Testing on Track!
Last week when I uploaded that video about the two 991 GT3 R "Mk1" testing in the rain I said "quite soon this car must necessarily receive an update, at least a restyled version with rear lights from the 991 Mk2" since it's almost 3 years the current version is out... And here it is!!
The new 2019 GT3-class car features not just a restyled "991 Mk2" lights but new aero, new front/rear bumper and rear diffuser too. Before this test it was rumored that it could be powered by a turbocharged engine but instead the N/A 4.0 Flat-6 is still screaming and powering this beauty!

This engine should be on existence for the next 10 or 15 years. Great perfomance and even greater sound. Awesome video Bozzy.
I doubt it will be, though. The RSR is holding back the entire GTE class in terms of power output--that can't last forever. All the other vehicles are capable of producing far more power (Ford GT, Ferrari 488, Aston (new twin-turbo), Corvette).
Well, acording to the WEC prologue Porsche had the top 2 in the class. The others could be sandbaging, but I think this year they will be more competitive, don't we forget that last year was the first year of the new car.

Hi Bozzy. I came back to watch again and comment. I noticed over 30K views in lass than 24 hours. The people have spoken.🙌 What a vicious track weapon and the new bodywork is gorgeous, too. As much as I love turbos in general, thank goodness the powers that be at Porsche decided to keep this howling beast N/A. Possibly one of the best soundtracks of all time.💕👂 That section at 2:03 is probably my favorite as it shows how ridiculously flat (and fast) this car changes directions. Brilliant video my friend. There's quite a few of the RSR developed parts on this. That front end is really interesting, I feel like they've put even more cooling towards the front of the car, judging by the massive intakes on the front and huge bonnet ventilation compared to the 991.1. The engine cover and rear bumper also look far less busy, but that's probably due to some of the function being done by the 'turbo' intakes on the rear quarter panels. Beautiful footage as always bozzy! I've been waiting a while to see this car.
