Hi guys! Today we're making this sparkly, flexible Mermaid tail for dolls :D I made this with liquid latex from a craft store, and the process is really easy. So if you wanna know how to make a mermaid tail for any of your dolls, then keep watching ;)
Good to know:
I work in 1:12 scale, but you can make them in any size you want and add headpins to make them charms :) I used a mix of the polymer clay brands Fimo and Cernit, but you can use any brand you like. The liquid clay I use is from the brand Fimo. My mold maker is from Siligum/Sili-put.

  • This is a really cute idea--I could see it modified to make other sea creatures such as sirens or merrows (like Lagoona Blue from Monster High) by adding latex fins to the doll's arms or small latex gills on her cheeks or the sides of her neck.

    • 2 Super Sisters same! I got a fin fun mermaid tail. (I strongly recommend them. They're a bit expensive but it's worth it.)

    • full body suit for humans or toys? bc if its for humans there are shops like libidex that sell latex clothes.

    • You can make your own out of silicone. A lot of professional mermaids use that. But I've yet to find a detailed-enough tutorial. :/
