  • Now that the large cupboard doors in the kitchen have been thoroughly cleaned by Marie & Sabine, may I suggest the fitting of stainless steel sheets/plates around the knobs to hide the existing discolouration of the paint in that area & prevent further damage to the wood... Plus s/s would be hygienic & easy to clean.

Fortunately, I lived within walking distance of the ellipse that was surrounded by the beautiful cherry trees that were given to our country by the Japanese as a most beautiful gift! I was fortunate that during the spring, when they would bloom, I could walk around the that contained a small little lake that was man-made in the trees were exquisite! I never had to make the trip to DC because I lived within walking distance. I also had a view of that area from the roof of my apartment. That was spectacular!

They have all been in full bloom the last 2 weeks. So your trip to Kyoto looks an awful lot like my backyard. I just thought that was fun. Thank you for taking us along on this travel log through Japan. You are much more adventurous than me in the foods that you will eat. I do appreciate that. And I love that beautiful canal in the rain. Which is something we've also been experiencing the last two weeks. Enjoy your trip Stephanie! Don't let Michael steal all your food. He's a sneaky one.

  • Another fabulous city in the world I've been longing to visit and Stephanie you have again brought me along with an extremely beautiful and fascinating trip. Thank you so much. I have loved every moment spent with you and Michael here in this cherry blossom filled fairy land. I even ran out and purchased the best Sushi and Sappora beer my suburban Illinois neighborhood could offer me. Marianne, Chicago,
