  • Kurt, I know you'll never read this... But this goes to everyone. I had a brain bleed back in '13, and I got paralyzed on the whole right side of my body. I used to be a very good pianist before all of this happened. The last song I was playing Fantasie Impromtu Opus 64. Anyways, when I see you play, tears well up in my eyes. There is still a chance for me to recover, but it won't be quick... Although tears are trickling down my face (lol). You inspire me to push myself everyday, and every time I have a chance. Thanks Kurt 😃 You really do change peoples lives , one note at a time.

  • I could listen to her for centuries. She's so gentle. Her high notes gently flow into your ears and intoxicate your brain. She's so gentle yet intense. I am in awe. She is absolutely phenomenal. Her voice is so arresting. It draws you in and surrounds you with a feeling a peacefulness and comfort. Simply astounding.

  • Every time I listen to this song, it still amazes me how much emotion is portrayed in her voice. The song has a message. Now everyone’s interpretation will be different based on their circumstances, living situations, family etc. But this song hits home for me especially since I am beginning to loose my grandma and my family and I don’t know how much time we have left. Elastic heart just reminds me to be grateful of the time I am spending with her and not to take anything for granted. As you never know when your time will come or anyone else’s. So enjoy spending time with your loved ones and say “ I love you” because you may never know when that’ll be yours or their last “I love you”’!!

  • People need to stop commenting bout how they say the voice is really good, but sia's is better because she displays emotion, like stfu. Both are good, if you prefer one or the other more that's fuckin great, but ya'll seriously need to stop with your fucking bullshit about emotions ok. IT'S JUST A SONG ! and I'm not dumb I KNOW that Sia displays certain emotions behind each of her songs but if that's how you really feel, then why the fuck are you listening to a different cover since obviously Sia is the only one that can show true emotion behind HER songs. Like it's just music, no need to start going in so deep and looking for all these emotions. Either you give the singer a positive comment or constructive criticism, not this crap about showing feelings, seriously.

  • I honestly like this version better than Sia's. Not saying Sia's is bad. I just like this one better. It's more fluid and classic. This very version was used in my dance recital.

    • it's not just that her voice breaks, it's what it *means* when her voice breaks. it's *why* her voice breaks that makes her performance of her own music better than anyone else. Because for everyone else, the *why* is "that's what Sia does" or "that's what it says on the notes" or "it just sounds good" or whatever. For Sia, it's because of what the song means to her. Music written by someone else never has the same impact.

    • completely agree, not that Madilyn isn't unique in her own way, but she has the feminine tone to her voice, where as sia drags her vocals through hell with the emotional raspiness, I'm sorry but no one can beat Sia when it comes to vocals like that.

  • I'm in two minds about this cover. I admit it is good but there's something in her voice that I think just doesn't fit this song. Think her voice is too soft for it, this song needs to be raw. But other than that I think it's a good cover ^.^

  • She is very good but i must say I prefer Sia's. They are very different and You can't judge her on how well she can sing Sia's song cause you can't sing Sia's song better than Sia. This is very good and if you prefer this style, this version will seem better to you. But for me, personally, it's the little things, like Sia's unique accent, and the way she throws her soul into the chorus that make me love hers more. This soft, soulful kind of singing would sound better in my opinion with a song like Safe and Sound. Still amazing, though. :^)
