Electric Water Pump Restoration Restoration Perfectly Tool Restoration.
I found the waterpumP needed a desperate recovery. It's super rusty at the bottom and very dirty but it's still working.
So, I started with disassembling, what turned out to be very complicated. Like new creations and buildings and can also be restored.
I hope you find something useful & enjoy from this video!

  • Some have commented on the lack of the right tools.....In my opinion it is not the tools that make the restoration...It is the use of the tools available that makes the worker A GREAT RESTORER. !! Great Job :)

    • "A GREAT RESTORER" uses the correct tools. A few basic tools are all that is required to do it properly.

    • I do not agree with you, there have been many failures in this restoration. If this pump were tested with water, water may leak through the mechanical seal. Bad work done.

    • made that mistake once. cracked the Teflon like a moron. Good job though. If you had used a puller the vid would only be 8 minutes long in real time.

  • The restoration works committed one and were carried out by the person is excellent. Old is gold but hopefully out put will be good and the farmer using the pumpset has to maintain it well .Very good job was done , good luck all the best to him.

  • Sandblasting and powdercoating is the way to go. Nice restoration project I would do parts slightly different. By the way nice white troussers in your workshop ;-)

  • If you are going to continue refurbishing things, you may want to invest in to a media blaster. It would make doing this type project so much nicer. JMHO

    • I so agree. Got a 2001 Jeep Cherokee and 1979 Ford e150 van with issues and people have said to just sell themselves and get a newer used vehicle. I told them I'd rather take the money I'd have to spend on another used vehicle, that could die days after it left the lot (non lemon laws here), and rebuild their engines, repair their bodies and have vehicles I know I can trust. Specially the van, it could outlast me.

  • The water outlet originally was on the top. After reassembly, it was to the side. You have turned pumping section of 90 degrees.

  • I greet you friend and congratulate you for your great willingness to work. I admire the effort you have put into it. However, I note that the motor shaft is worn and deformed at the end of the pump. That axis must have been repaired, that is, filled to its original diameter and machined; because that's where the pump seal fits so you don't lose water. It is very likely that if it is not repaired there, it will lose and end up spoiling the new bearing. Finally, the drive connection goes up and not to the side. Notice that you have a drain plug there that should also be up. Greetings and congratulations!
