I think they just wanted to shorten the field for one final play. I'm not saying I agree with it, but it could have been OK if he had slid a few yards earlier and immediately turned to get the ball to the ref so they'd have time to spike.

Seahawks fan here. Although the Seahawks and the 49ers are rivals. I respect the 49ers a great deal. They remind me a lot of the 2013, 2014, 2015 Seahawks. Every defensive player is a big name and should be on the pro bowl. The only difference is the scheme that Kyle Shanahan has put together is absolutely phenomenal. They have a third string quarterback look as impressive as he has and run that office as impressive as he has is just amazing. I’ll be rooting for the 49ers to go to the whole way . They deserve it. 49ers fans deserve it. Way too good of a franchise to have not won a Super Bowl since 1995. 49ers fans are great and loyal. Go get those Cowboys

As a Niner fan, I can add this game to my most memorable game in 49ers history. Even though we lost the NFC Championship, I can always come back to this game as a "cheer me up" until next season. I couldn't imagine being a Cowboys fan and watching your team lose the way they did live on Nickelodeon for thousands of kids across the country to see. Watching this again a year later, JG cannot be under center in Dead&Gold no more. Every pass thrown, every receiver had to reach up and scratch the air to get it. Hospital passes.

The cowboys have no chance. Think about it. DALLAS is the same team as last year for the most part. The 49ers have a better QB this year, a better nickel back in ward, Mccaffery!, better O line, aiuyk put up 1000 this year, Juwan is better then Benjamin at WR. We score TD'S this year and not field goals. That game should have been 28-7 @ half. I am not talking sh*t in anyway just want you to realize barring a meltdown by the niners, or REFS vs players type game, Cowboys are going to have another let down.
@Jay See well, that may be true, but Dallas defence has matured as well this year, less penalties than the game last year and a better running game, if it can be implemented, so time of possession is going to be important. So just on that if the game is going to be clean I think it'll be more competitive. I'm under no illusions that the 49ers on paper are the better team but I think it's going to be close, even the betting spreads reflect that....
