The way Messi is able to see the whole environment infront of him and behind him is simply out of this world. He has the ability to predict every single defender's move and tweak his body to get past them. He puts so much pace behind the ball in such closed areas it's almost like magic. I respect Neymar, but Messi should probably win this year's Ballon d'Or. Neymar might have played good a few matches and scored 2 and assisted in Barça's comeback against PSG, but let's not forget what Messi has done. He is clearly the best in La Liga, UCL, and other competitions. I have a feeling that FIFA (and France Football) are gonna ignore this, but hopefully they don't. It's not just the goals, but his dribbling, passing, and vision. He could have had way more assists if some of his teamates would have converted his passes. And if he doesn't assist, he either creates that chance to pass it to a teammate for him to assist. You could even say Messi 'assisted' the assist. Messi is clearly an all-time great.
