He's reached a level of lyricism that I'm pretty sure no awards album chart ratings can come anywhere near to the level of IMPORTANCE HE HOLDS SPECIAL FOR when HE can see that his embedded messages were actually pulled from his music and he can witness the message affect others in whatever way he designed it to. J Cole doesn't create music.... J Cole is creating Culture. (KNOWLEDGE IS POWER KIDS ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT) Those who say "I don't know or i don't get it". Are mindless idiots who choose to live as modern day compony slaves. But those who choose to "UNDERSTAND AND FIND ANSWERS Those individuals are free from societies sick trap.

So I'm going to play this song as loud as I need to and sing along with it cause it really feels like this is the song my heart is singing to me whenever I'm feeling lost or in need of answers. The first part of the song just hits me right in my soul... 0:00 - 1:14 but the whole song is just one of my favorites. Thanks J.Cole for this beauty! @@nikoielias7402 The Grammy's has a little over half-year cut off for albums eligible to be nominated. This is real music when you can understand the artist and the lyrics.
Fr. I like the meaning and the message it sends. Instead of "I fucked yo bitch and we doin Molly" and all that other nonsense. At least that what I think.
If you actually pay attention to what is being said there is a much deeper meaning
I like this song but putting down other genres isn't worthwhile so long as there is some semblance of a melody it's a fine song

Yohan Vazquez music ˈmyo͞ozik/ noun 1. vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion. given that beauty is in the eye of the beholder there is very little arguing about what is and isn't music

I recently listened to a playlist I listened to alot when I was in a bad place, and the first song that played was this masterpiece. It brought back the times I talked to my therapist, or when I told my family about my problems, thank you J Cole
A song for my mama for all the times I took off and kept her up worried and praying for my safety I put her thru hell when I was in my addictions but she believed in me that I would get better and now I'm 4 years sober and it's cuz of her & God and I thank them for it!
This J Cole song always touch me. There is a spiritual side to this rap song
Cole should have got nominated for more Grammys
but this album was 2014
Franco Mariani the deadline was October of this year
4 real, I get that Kendrick got 11 nominations but Cole deserves a bit more
He's reached a level of lyricism that I'm pretty sure no awards album chart ratings can come anywhere near to the level of IMPORTANCE HE HOLDS SPECIAL FOR when HE can see that his embedded messages were actually pulled from his music and he can witness the message affect others in whatever way he designed it to.
+Edward Angulo he sends great messages, lyrically he's just better than most.... And how old are you? 20-30 don't speak wisdom, you are still young AF, a lot to learn, you don't know shit yet.
doctor : you have 5 minutes left to live me : where my headphones at ?
sillygsarah 👌🏽
Takes you 2 minutes to find them. You got 3 minutes to listen.

Man. This got me thru some shit. Thank you j Cole. You art was truly helpful in my darkest time. 💯
Every single track within this album is a generational hit.#zim continues to appreciate🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼
His wife will be a blessed woman. His heart is gold. It shows thru his music.
Especially when he talks about sex every other second.
Martin Bailey Please troll elsewhere.
I dont believe it was a troll,.think he meant their sex life will be fire
Perverts lose at life.
He already has a wife, and a daughter now
I'm writing this comment for my future self, I feel so lost right now, like I dont know where I'm going in life and life isnt helping me find my way either...its been this way for a while but I want to have faith that this is all for the better, that there is a reason for why some things dont go the way I would want. I hope I'm doing much better and laugh at how I was crying writing this later on. NOV. 15, 2019
That's beautiful
Hold ya head baby

that album is epic. it's PERFECT and I don't use that word often but every single song is a HIT. one of the greatest albums of all time.
Ain't you a bit late? Do you use, Internet Explorer?
Shashank Prabhakar so what if he late lol
Shashank Prabhakar late? just wanted to say. it's not like I found that album yesterday. shaked his hand @ what dreams may come tour in 2013 and also partied first row hard @ forest hills drive tour in may 2015. it's never too late celebrating some legendary music. or am I too late when I comment on Michael Jacksons Billie Jean "that's my favorite song ever. thriller best album of all time"?
Shashank Prabhakar u so dumb
+kackb00n Never have truer words been spoken
Apparently, Love Yourz, January 28th, No Role Modelz, 03' Adolescence and St. Tropez are my favorites on 2014 FHD.

J. Cole is the man that gave me faith in new school rap. Before I listened to his "2014 Forest Hills Drive" Album I was just listening to oldschool rap.
Just a KZheadr OldSchool Rap? lmao gtfo

That part when he say wish u could live forever so we can spend more time together always makes me cry because I love my mama I miss her I need to do better and visit her more it's been 2 years she lives in my city just in the other side of town

I find it funny that people think that J Cole is overrated, and Drake isn't...
Drake is the second most hated rapper in the game Lil Wayne is first but both is in my top 5 right now
Think young thug is now the most hated now
thepaystation And for a good reason. He's terrible.
Thas right homie, I dont listen to this time of music but j cole gets down on rapping Fuck drake n everyone like him
B-Mint1994 drake has some dank beats but cole is way stronger personality and rate him way higher overall
If you listen to this in 2020 I like your music taste
I’m addicted

Totally agree... the new look is dope. New album is amazing too...
He looks like he's been in a zombie apocalpyse.
The beard is ok but the hair can be a little clean

Yeah I’ve realized pretty recently that I wasn’t hugging my mom and showing love for a while and this song gave me a sign to show live to my mom because she can go out at any moment of the day
my mother passed on 9-17-21 and I tell anybody that still has their mother here still to hug and tell their mother that you love her
i think he is tryna say you can live forever.
Such a bad ass human making a hit about his mom. Every time I hear it I have to contact my mom. Thanks for being that kind of influence. Texting my mom right now, haha.
