I always come back to this song. At first it reminded me of my boyfriend, but now it all reminds me of my best friend that committed suicide in April of this year. She was my soulmate, the one that held my heart and was always my safe haven. 6 years, we were nonstop talking about life, growing closer and closer, loving each other and our flaws. We never ever judged each other despite our situations and actions. We were inseparable. I felt I was my complete and genuine self with her, and I never feared judgement. She always caught me when I was falling. She was my best friend and the light of my life. I love her, I will always love her. I miss her so much, I never wanted to picture a life without her. It always felt as if, even if I lost everything, she would always be here. I would give anything to have her back..

my first time hearing this album was maybe 2 days after it came out. I can't remember what but it was a school vacation... it was chilly out. it was late, like 10 pm, my family and I were riding through the country side. my mother had a cigarette lit and the window cracked letting in the cool air. it was freezing but I remember putting in my headphones just blasting 4 your eyes only and all of a sudden I forgot about the cold. all I could focus on was j's lyrics and the beats. this song gives me so much nostalgia and I just wanna say thank you Cole!

this song will forever remind me of how the day i knew i was catching feelings for my ex. this song was playing in the background while he was expressing his feelings to me and that is when it hit me that i was falling in love with him. we were alone in the car when we got together when he played this song and we were kissing to this, singing “i’ve fallen in love for the first time” lip to lip, forehead to forehead. i will never forget how i felt in that moment that it makes me cry to this day how deep my feelings run for him. i can’t explain it but the feeling i have/had to protect him from all the wrong in the world and help him with his problems and work through them is a feeling that will possibly never go away. i am seeing him on saturday to see each other again, either one last time or starting the talking stage and doing things right this time. this specific video of both of them was the same one that he played and has in his playlist, forever holding a special place in my heart.
